Used to like coming here but lately they've been doing construction and they're making the buses park on the other side by the Catalina express. If you can find parking.. But once you get inside the aquarium it's nice, just overpriced..

The curved glass distorts the tanks and catches all the glare. Nothing new to speak of since the renovation. Maybe a touch tank outside with moon jellyfish? Lots of good stuff in the aquarium just can't get past the glass being so bad, taking a picture is nearly unusable due to the glare in winter.

You can't got wrong here! Very therapeudic and the staff are so helpful. The entertainers gave awesome facts and taught everyone how to touch some of the cool organisms that live in the ocean.

Lots of fun for both children and adults. I am 31 years old and I went with my mother and we had a great time. Interactive exhibits to touch the sea life. Great time, I will be going again.

The aquarium is quite small but there is still a lot to enjoy. You can pet stingrays, sharks, starfish, and jellyfish. They also do shows with the sea lions and the otters. So make sure to look out for those. Great place to take the kids.

Great to visit for elementary age kids. A few hands on experience for all ages. Kids love the otters and shark lagoon.

The summer late entrance fee a great deal.

The Aquarium Admission fee after 5:00 p.m. is just $19.95. Three hours to visit, expereice and learn ocean ecology.

Give shop reasonable price. Don't bother eating at the aquarium cafe. Take a short walk to Rainbow Harbor or Shoreline village to eat dinner.

Beautiful place to visit with the family. Even with construction going on the workers make things easy for everyone. You can validate your parking before even going into the aquarium which is nice if you are there for the day and don't want to go right in. Even with school groups and kids crawling all over no one was really rude and had ample time to see everything and look in all the tanks. The shark petting was cool even though they were hiding from the sun and getting to see the staff feed the bigger sharks was amazing. Touching the jelly fish was an experience like none other. Deft plan a whole day to see everything and experience all around the aquarium. Can't wait to get back and see the new Honda theater and new interactive exhibits that are being built.

What a beautifully clean aquarium. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Kids are so excited to learn about our oceans and Gods creatures that live in it. They have a great gift store, 3D movies, and cafe. You have the opportunity to pet sharks, rays, and horseshoe crabs. There is also a play area outside for the kids to get their wiggles out and have fun! #LOCALGUIDES

Always an amazing other world to visit. Creatures that are awe inspiring to see on our own planet that look so alien. A helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly staff works all day to educate and inspire wonder in it's audience. The animals look happy and are in very diverse environments suited for their needs. This is one of my favorite places in the world. Very peaceful and serene.

If you'd like to go somewhere to take aesthetically pleasing photos, this is your spot! Learn quite a bit about different sorts of fish, their cultures, and their environment as well.
Only things that could've been improved was the entertainment which seemed a tad excessive. It was really loud and did not match the ambiance. I would also like to recommend not to go on a weekend since it would be overly crowded and the staff wouldn't have much time to answer all of your questions.
This, I guess, is more subjective but I thought it was pretty thorough.

Great aquarium. Has everything...its pretty big... it is a little pricey so make sure you get a discount somehow.
My 3.5 year old loves it here.

This place is super cool. The displays are great, clean, up to date, and it is super local showing what is living in the harbors on Long beach. Great place to visit and it's not super huge you could see the whole thing in an afternoon. If you parked in the garage be sure to validate your parking before leaving and pay for parking at the machine in the garage.

This is a really good aquarium, it has an area where you can touch rays, starfish, among others. For kids it's a really good experience. They have also small shows for kids and grown up where you can learn gud things! Also something good is that the parking is $8 if you get your ticket validated at the exit of the aquarium.

This place is really cool, definitely worth checking out, but it's very expensive. If you live local enough, a membership is definitely the way to go as it pays for itself in about 2 visits. If you are just visiting the area it is probably worth buying a combo ticket with a boat ride or other nearby attraction as the aquarium is small and won't take more than a few hours to enjoy all it has to offer. The restaurant is pricey and sometimes dirty, we eat at the restaurants nearby when we visit. The restrooms are always clean and well stocked on soap, paper towels, etc, and there are good changing facilities for babies.

While this place is pricey, the money goes towards maintenance and conservation efforts, so it is worth the spend. The exhibits are beautiful and there are several touch pools, with sea stars, sharks, rays, and jelly fish to interact with, as well as a large aviary with lorikeets you can walk through and purchase nectar to feed them with.

While the aquarium is small and can be seen within a few hours, it is located within walking distance of restaurants, boat tours, whale watching, and shoreline village. Don't forget to get your parking ticket validated when you leave, you will save a fortune.

Beautiful exhibits and knowledgeable staff. Attended an evening event and the food was tasty. It was a bit pricy for the event, I guess that's what you need to pay to avoid the crowds.

The behind the scenes tour was awesome! So informative and really gives you perspective in how much work it takes to maintain and improve the aquarium, as well as further conservation research.

We love taking our daughter here. Though the crowds can be a bit overwhelming at times, they always seem to have some sort of special event going on. And if you can come during the week, parking is a breeze. It's also totally worth getting the membership if you plan to go more an twice in a year. The cafe used to be better, but now it's just decent.

within the first few months when my husband & i used to date, we took a visit here as a mini-getaway from san jose. we had fun because we are definitely animal lovers! it was our first time to an aquarium for the both of us so it was quite interesting...just for the both of us discovering different species was fun because we had each other. as for my opinion, i didn't mind how the place looked like or anything else.. all i caared about was seeing sharks and jellyfishes! the price wasn't too bad.. first time experiences are always fun!

Visited for a Blizzard event and the aquarium was fun! It is decently sized with a variety of animals from sea turtles to seals. I especially loved being able to pet jellyfish, sharks, and manta rays! There were a few neat-o spots to take photos with your buddies + animals and they served us fresh veggie plates and so-so tasting empanadas. I would visit again to see if some of the closed tanks/displays are open!

It is a smallish aquarium - but we're used to the one at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore which is one of the best in the country (so I am told). It's very entertaining, and you can enjoy everything and be in and out in a couple hours. A great tourist attraction. Kids loved the touch tank - maybe their favorite thing this whole vacation.

In addition to visiting this attraction, we also toured the Queen Mary Museum which is anchored in Long Beach Harbor and close to the Aquarium of the Pacific.

Anytime we visit the many aquariums from Hawaii to the numerous ones here on the "mainland" we are always excited to see the exhibits and its inhabitants.

We enriched our children's curiosity and knowledge base with exhibits to the inhabitants of the Pacific Ocean which comprises of three major permanent galleries, sunny Southern California and Baja, the frigid waters of the Northern Pacific and the colorful reefs of the Tropical Pacific.

Our kids were mesmerized at the 142,000 gallon, three-story Blue Cavern tank, which houses animals that live in the waters surrounding nearby Catalina Island.

I got a kick out of viewing the "Amber Forest exhibit," which replicates a Giant kelp forest with Garibaldi, California scorpion fish, and other representative organisms.

We were equally fascinated with viewing their 211,000 gallon, Seal and Sea Lion Habitat, Ray Touch Pool, and Shorebird Sanctuary.

I'm not sure of the exact order, but after lunch and numerous other exhibits, running in and out of the souvenir shops, cafeteria, etc., I can say that we all enjoyed a great time here at this attraction.
