Such an amazing experience! Absolutely beautiful displays and aquariums. So many touch pools that are staffed with knowledgeable people assuring the animals are treated properly. The jellyfish are stunning, We spent so much time watching them. Definitely planning on going back.
BEST AQUARIUM EVER!!! I love that its a non profit and they work so hard to help and care for all the animals that we see during the visit. I will definitely go again and would enjoy another behind the scenes tour by Cynthia she was so knowledgeable and friendly it was great! (I loved her octopus hair clip and jellyfish earrings)

Fun place for kids with huge variety of sea creatures, some of which is not common in other aquariums.
We love this place. Great environment for kids to learn and they help with ocean conservation effort. Great family day outing. A must if you are in the Long Beach/ LA area.
Was difficult parking and animal seemed unhappy. I was only able to get 1 turtle out....but it's a process.
Wasnt worth the 40 something dollars we paid. Good thing we had a buy one get one free admission. It was very crowded people were rude would not step aside the tanks for other people to view the fishes. Wish there were a lot more to see. Nothing to exciting.
It was super cool all the animals that you have never seen before. When you leave they even give you a stamp.there is a beach close to it to so you can have some fun in the water.
Awesome place for kids. Conversely, probably not great if you don't want to have kids running around all over the place. The family had a blast seeing all the animals and learning about everything they have there. Everything is very clean so seeing into the tanks wasn't a problem. They have a lot to see, but can definitely do it in a few hours. Looking forward to going back in the future (we got memberships, which have a lot of benefits and basically pay for themselves in 3 visits). Highly recommend visiting if you're in the area.
Brought the kids here the second time and they remembered they were there and looked for all the exhibits. The main tank coming in was different and they put in a school of fish to watch and it was amazing
Even though the indoor attractions were closed, I still enjoyed being there! The animals are adorable and the employees are very courteous!
Great place the see sea life from different regions. Of course, the seals and otters were a big hit!
Amazing, super clean, there is hand sanitizer everywhere, the kids had an amazing time! The staff is so helpful!
Not bad, due to covid they're trying their best to create something special but you'd have to wait for a bit. It's still entertaining for the adults and also children. Outdoor exhibits are open and I think you get your money's worth. Only giving a 4 starts because of the wait period.
For the price, it isn't amazing. I have been to many other places where it was a lot better for less. However, I chose this aquarium as it works on conservation.

Great family fun! There is so much to look at and do. The penguins were great, a few were almost hyper and were swimming around crazy, but it did stink up there. There are a number of interactive exhibits where you get to touch sharks, crabs, sting rays, and my favorite was the sea urchins. I suggest you buy the nectar to feed the birds as part of the outdoor exhibit, the girls loved it. The sea otters were probably my girls favorite. They were all about show boating under the water right up against the glass. We went on a weekend and it was SUPER busy, but with a little patience you will be fine.

A lovely aquarium experience relating well the California coast and denizens of the sea. Educational experiences that keep adults and kids learning with some hands on time. Depends on you on how much time you want to spend here, as I could easily make it a full day.
Great displays.My kids were able to touch small sharks, rays, and jellyfish. Can get crowded, go early.
It was my first time and I intended for the shark events that was advertised on Goldstar it was a little different than I thought I definitely think that there are some updates that could be made to help make things a little bit more handicap accessible unfriendly. I was kind of disappointed because the event ran into the evening but they closed all of the food and drink stations well before the event was over. Had some construction going on. Will be back hopefully it improves.
This aquarium is really well laid out and very funding interactive for all ages of kids. As an adult I thought it was very interesting as well. There is a variety of aquaticlife to see and the staff does a good job keeping everything clean. my kids loved the jellyfish pool that you can feel and pet them. the staff was great when I lost my child for a few minutes and they were able to radio each other and locate her very quickly. the only con I thought was the cafe is overpriced and has few healthy options.
The aquarium is awesome, the addition they've recently built was a bit underwhelming though. I am all for education, which is mostly all their addition is, just some kiosk style self education type things and a really cool theater where you can watch a short film about the environment etc. But a great place to bring the kids or your partner especially if you take the time to read the plaques.
What a fantastic aquarium. I love aquariums and this one tops the list. So glad to be able to attend. I will for sure come back again.
Lots of interesting stuff about sea life here, kinda expected a bit more than they have here, being on the Pacific coast and all, the one in Albuquerque NM was almost just as good, just my opinion.

Very nice place to spend some good time. The interactive activities are a great thing! We ve enjoyed it even if there were lots of people, because of free day of Presidents day. Highly recommend!
Private Wedding was spectacular at this venue. And the #2nicephotolounge #photobooth was a great attraction as well!
Not much has changed but they have a cool exhibit of California aqueducts that caught many people's attention. I encourage many people to go and explore.
It's really fun for school aged children when they follow the map to stamp their visitor booklet.
Parking isn't a big issue and you get a discounted fee with validation.
Some people treat the Aquarium like the zoo. They talk loud, tapping the glass and let kids run around unattended. Be aware so you don't step on someone's kid.
My 6 year old loved it but was disappointed by a pencil as a reward for finishing the scavenger hunt. He was expecting something more aquarium related.

Great aquarium. If you choose a weekend to go, get there before 10:30. Crowds grow quickly around lunchtime.
I had a membership here for two years with my kids! We loved coming and were here almost every week. The best times to go are in the evenings during the week days because it isnt too crowded. Great fun location for things to do afterwards to!
Amazing! Absolutely worth visiting. Jellyfish collection is just stunning. I could watch them forever - cosmic creatures! And there are many more sea animals - lovely, scary, freaky, funny, you name it
Aquarium is nice but it's overcrowded. The movie they show us not worth watching it's basically 8mins of propaganda. I was hoping to see something interesting and educational. Something about marine life maybe?
Came here for the very first time! Had a great time looking at all the fish species! A lot to see and a lot to learn! Hit that like if it was helpfull!
A place for all ages at good price, modern, clean and recreational.
This place is amazing for children and adults alike, you can interact with a few sea creatures including jellyfish which was awesome, I wish they had more to see. But a must to learn more about sea animals.
