This Aquarium has good view of inside and outside. I believe it is the place for family and student who want to know more marine life on our world. It has a lot of marine animals like sea otter, penguin, and sea dragon etc. Overall, it is excellent place to visit because the crew are very friendly and it has very good environment to see every animals in the aquarium.

This is a great place to visit when your traveling in the area. Adult or child. The place is informative, and interactive. Won't lie you will have an amazing time if you take an edible before you go. Me and my friend were obsessed with petting the rays. Definitely a place I will go to again when I'm back in Cali.

Its a nice aquarium with some nice exhibits. However, Its always overcrowded, and you'll probably never get to really see and experience everything because of that fact and the price is just becoming too expensive for the same exhibits with little change up. If you do pay full price and you do happen to be there when there is an exhibit change, I personally do not think you'd be getting the most out of the $100 it cost to get in. This last visit I have again gotten stuck in the little corners of the exhibits surrounded by people who won't move because they don't have a system set up that keeps people moving along. My kids missed out on touch pools and a lot of inside exhibits because people will stop and hover way too long and block everyone else from seeing it too or moving in an orderly fashion and honestly, if you have any kid of disability emotionally or physically this can be a frustrating and discouraging experience. Not only that, but the ventilation is bad in certain areas. I cant believe the amount of rude people who fart in enclosed areas but I swear this always happens especially around the jellyfish or sea lion tunnel.

Educational, beautifully done.
A great way to see the magnificent world of the ocean waters.

Maybe it s just me, but I was expecting SO much more from this aquarium. The exhibits are few and weren t that impressive, the parking situation was a mess with employees who were rude and not directing correctly. Very disappointed.

This is a really beautiful aquarium, with a cool outdoor area and an awesome location. The variety of fish and quality of the displays is great, and it is an enjoyable experience every time I come here.

Only 3 stars because the cost was very high for just walking through and observing the sea creatures. Then, when we walked all the way back in from the parking structure to have our ticket validated, i was pointed to a machine that scanned the barcode and read validation successful, however that was not true and we owed $8.00 upon exit. Seems like a cleverly shady way to get more revenue since we left the parking and couldn't go back to haggle the discrepancy without going through a lot of inconvenience to us and possibly more money for parking.

Visited this aquarium while visiting family it was clean and the animals looked well taken care of. I liked that the outdoor exhibits were covered and we LOVED the jelly fish exhibits. I had a ton of fun with the frog exhibits and looking for all of the frogs.

We have been members for many years but just renewed the other day since we haven't been in a couple years. It is still a great aquarium, there are lots of cool tanks with lots of different sea life. This is the first time we went to the new exhibit Pacific Visions. It was a little overwhelming so I am not 100% sure how I feel about it. There are lots of interactive things that are educational, but very few tanks with sea life depicted. The walls are cool and have projected "movies" and graphics. There are little theaters on the 1st and 2nd floor. I didn't watch the shows this time but will definitely check them out next time. Overall I still like the older portion of the aquarium. Good place for the kids my 9 yo has loved this place since he was a toddler. And my toddler was in amazement. It was fun watching his reactions to the larger tanks. He doesn't speak sentences but he kept saying "Wow!" as we went through the aquarium. Those are reasons enough to keep going back.

We came for homeschool science night and had a blast. We practically had the aquarium to ourselves. No lines or crowds. The staff there were eager to answer our questions and share their knowledge about the animals

This is truly a fantastic aquarium. My boyfriend and I went here for a day and were pleased with our experience. There are several touch tanks for those who want to interact with the fish, beautiful, well thought out exhibits featuring a huge variety of different fish, and my favorite, the interactive parrot walk through. You can go and have little parrots just land on you - it's so much fun. The staff were very knowledgeable and kind and the facility was clean and well-maintained. I recommend paying the extra few dollars to do the harbor cruise as well. It's overall a really great time.

The young lady at the main entrance was pleasant enough and made a fair first impression. The exhibit overhall was interesting. The big paradox is that you come to place like this to educate yourself about the ocean. There is a strong focus on educating the visitors on how to preserve water, make sustainable food choices etc... Yet all the food available is processed snacks, sandwiches from industrial farming and the gift shop is full of plastic junk souvenirs etc... Double standards if you ask me. The young man at the exit who was responsible for stamping your wrist to allow for re-entry was simply miserable, did not make me want to come back really. Overall an average experience.

Love how this place has a great combination of visual and tactile experience. The indoor and outdoor combination is also a nice mix. My favorite was the sea lion show/feeding. My 10 and 13 years old"s favorites were touching the moon jellies and sea cucumbers.

On Thanksgiving it was crowded with lots of parents and their children. The enclosures sometimes feel a little bit small and dull. The staff was very friendly and really motivated to give background information. Lots of different species can be found.

Great aquarium! Tons of exhibits, multiple touch pools, penguins, seals, jellies, rare fish, fun behind the scenes tour for a small fee (around $15 I believe?). We've got a family membership. Kids love coming down with us and the grandparents.

Quite nice atmosphere. It can get crowded but it never stops you from seeing any of the exhibits. Very clean and informational. Friendly staff and at a reasonable price! Definitely would go again.

This place is an amazing chance to encounter marine life up close. Some of the enclosures seemed a little small for some of the larger animals, but I haven't looked into the aquarium enough to know if those animals are there for a reason... My only issues were with the bathrooms. We were there about 10am, so I don't they should have been as dirty as they were if they were being well maintained.
Overall, a good place to spend a lazy afternoon.

This aquarium is a fun place for kids and adults. There are ponds with small sharks and many rays that are low so the kids can get close. The displays are organized by regions with typical fish, coral, jellyfish, seahorses and more.

I Love going to the aquarium because it's so versatile and educational! Not to mention that mythical blue-ish tint over everything makes everything feel magical! A Solid date idea and a Great place for kiddos! (The 2 year old I was babysitting LOVED it!) Lots of coupon/discount options and kids under 3 get in free!
We also got the American bistro lunch thing (salmon/mashed potatoes/zucchini/cauliflower) it was delish and a pineapple mango smoothie-- although the lady behind the counter gave me a bit of attitude on that one
We touched jellyfish, sea urchins, anemones, sharks and rays! And feeding the lorikeets was extra cool for both of us!
As was the fun stamp scavenger hunt on the map!
Though personally, I think I enjoyed the sea lion show more than the kid did
Lots of cool gifts and books! And it's so nice to know that all proceeds go back to helping the animals
Totally worth it to go at least once!

Nice Aquarium. If you park in either garage, you can prepay a flat $8 rate when you buy your ticket. There are combo tickets for the Aquarium & other activities. Nice 45 min harbor cruise which is just outside the Aquarium. It sails past the Queen Mary. Enjoy !!
