Awesome experience dampened by clusters upon clust...
Awesome experience dampened by clusters upon clusters of people. Do yourself a favor and try to visit when it isn't busy. It really detracts from the beauty of the creatures they display.

I liked it except it was crowded an I felt like there could've been more live exhibits. And the refreshments are ridiculously priced.
A great place for children of all age as well adults who are keen to learn something new about marine life. Definitely recommended for all
The aquarium is always a great place to bring kids. So many things to see and do. The touch pools are so much fun! I love the penguins! And they have seals, sea otters, and sea lions. So much fun! We had a great visit after the reopening. They're doing a great job of encouraging social distancing, and masks are required. Great experience!
Employees are helpful genuine and upbeat, you can tell they enjoy where they work and the people that visit the aquarium, just really cool people! Always clean including bathrooms.
Theres new exhibits and its awesome you should check it out you wont be disappointed!
Lots of cool fishes and sealife animals here. Family friendly, spend 2 hours here.
Wonderful place to visit with the kids for the summer
Cool aquarium. Neat gift shop. Some unique attractions. Very friendly staff. Cheap all day parking in garage next door. Expect to use the stairs to get up and down in garage. Stroller heaven on elevator.
Always a great visit, especially for younger kids. Lots of interactive activities including tide pool and shark/ ray exhibits where touching is permitted. If you want to enjoy the lorikeet feeding, best to come in the morning when they are hungry. That section currently opens at 10:30. Also, check the parking rates - the Aquarium has validated parking for $8, so if you plan to stay a while, it's a good deal. There is a free bus service to nearby Shoreline Village so it's easy to make a pretty full day out of it.
Smaller than I expected but still a good trip. Avoid weekends. Book whale watching in advance they sell out.
We went on a very busy day but were still able to see and enjoy everything they had to offer. The vivid colors of the ocean are displayed through out the exhibits in a beautiful way. We will be going back!
Fun to visit but smaller than I had remembered. Very crowded as we went on the weekend. Highly advise visiting on a weekday for a better experience and more time to view each exhibit you want to see.
We are members since 2013 and we love this place, and the sea lions show it's awesome, the shark lagoon as well.
Lots of all kind of fishes in this place guarantee your kids and the whole family will love it ...!
Very nice place and very clean food and snacks price to high maybe take your own lunch or snacks
One of the best attractions in Long Beach however it is slightly pricier for what it offers.
Love coming to the aquarium to see all of the animals and learn some new tidbits of info. The kids love the touch pools. And all of the staff is very friendly
A good amount of exhibits and fun things to do. You get to touch jelly fish, sea stars, small sting rays, and coral. There is an area with Lorakeet birds that you can feed with purchased nectar. Overall a good selection of aquarium life.
It's a great experience and a lot of fun, a lot of little kids tho.
This was a very fun and exciting yet intuitive experience. The aquatic life and knowedge was pehnominal! The octopus ehxibit was upon my favorite as well as getting to interact and feel the stingrays and baby sharks! The reason i did give it 4/5 stars was due to the lack of shark breeds. I am a shark phanatic so only being able to see a few select breeds was kind of a surprise. Overall love the place, the location and the theater was an amazing experience. Definitely will be returning. Thnx again for offering such an experience to the public!
Awesome. Lots of cool tanks. Great learning opportunity for the children.
The kiddos and I love that there is a lot of interaction tanks where you can touch things. There are birds (not just pidgeons but colorful birds that you can feed). Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Theres a playground. With the penguins theres a part of the tank where you can crawl under and feel like you are in it. Didn't feel upcharged everywhere. There were even rescue animals we could touch (a snake and then a camel) though Im not sure if thats a normal everyday thing.
Beautiful exhibits of all things in our ocean & along California's coast
Nice place to visit with kids. My little one just loved the exhibits and their seal show. You can easily spend about 2 to 3 hours here. Totally worth the visit.
Pretty lame compared to the aquariums I have seen in Chicago and Atlanta. Lots of video exhibits rather than real animals and fish.
It's nice aquarium for the city, expensive for what it is but it's Okay if it goes back to conservation efforts for marine life.
Extremely popular and worth seeing place. Especially with kids.
There are a lot of underwater life shown divided by meaningful sections. There are huge and little things presented.
There is good food court.
And the playground is awesome with water attractions and usual exploration part.
Like the Pokestops nearby andnin convienient distances from the Aquarium and also admire all the fish exhibits, such as the penguins and the Liquid Galaxy Exhibit overlooking the main hall.
Great exhibits; you feel like you're in their world!
Beautiful and updated new area. I love the giant theater and the focus on minimizing the human footprint and responsible fish farming methods. Grab a handbook for the kids to stamp. Dont forget to walk to the left as you go outside and touch the jellies. Feed the birds and make sure to bring young kids to the show. Get the parking validated before you leave for a discounted rate. I love that you can drink here as they have the most giant sized beer ever.
Extremely crowded on a weekday. Made it very difficult to see exhibits. I expected better for $30.
Amazing aquarium, lots for kids to see and touch, like petting the Rays and touching the Sea Anemones. Beautiful displays and conservation education.
Fast check-in if you buy ticket online. Plenty to see.
Going through expansion. Massive crowds during weekends. Great for younger children.
Took my kids..we had a good time..smaller than i thought,,but fun
Make sure to sit down for the popular shows early. They fill up fast. Great place to take the kids. Decent food options, though there is a Bubba Gump and mall near by.
A little bit boring, there wasn't that much to see.
What more can you ask for? The Aquarium provides an intimate venue space, unique in every way, with the brilliant creatures of the sea around you, perfect for any occasion.
The times I have had the opportunity to be here for a wedding have been awesome. There is no feeling quite like having a museum (especially one as cool as this) to yourself! As a videographer in the Wedding industry for over twelve years, I can attest to the Aquarium s awesomeness. It has the amenities and the hospitality of any respected venue space, yet the uniqueness is all its own.
Recommended to anyone who is looking for something fun and different (and make sure you like fish!)
Check out examples of some of the work I ve done there with Prince Weddings! http://princeweddings.net/blog/tag/aquarium-of-the-pacific/

Fun place to see all kinds of water animals. Best part was being able to touch the rays and and other animals. The staff are very knowledgeable and learned a lot of interesting facts. Only suggestion would be to update the parking garage. Tiny elevators take forever especially when there are crowds so stairs it is.
Fantastic place to take kids. Fish exhibits from all oceanic environments, plus otters, sea lions, and several touch tanks.
Such a variety of sealife. A great place to learn of the amazing animals that call the Pacific home!
Not a spectacular aquarium; hopefully they will have a "must see" exhibit in the new wing they are building, or more enticing encounters. [For example in SF, they have a private behind the scenes tour that is amazing, even though they don't have any show-stopping exhibits]
I am 68 years old he took my great-granddaughter which is for there for her birthday I have not been to the aquarium over maybe 20 years the place really was great I really like the way how they had different area section to my granddaughter and I got a chance to see everything that day she was amazed she loves animals and just a smile on her face made it great the few people that I did have to get some help from they were courteous and nice and everything was clean I loved it I would go again I tell you the last time I've been there they had saying and everything on the floor and you walked in like little tunnel seem like it was nice I enjoyed myself
A great local aquarium. Not too busy. Consistently enjoyable. When the kids were young, the family membership was a great value.
Great place for younger children. Lots of hands on experiences where they are able to touch sharks, sting rays, and even jelly fish. Drinks are really expensive, so if you have small children you mant to bring your own so you're not wasting money. Theres also a small splash pad area outside, so bring an extra change of clothes for little ones, is a good idea. If you have teenagers, probably won't keep there attention very long unless there really into sea life.
Definitely geared toward children....nice exhibits, lots of kids as we were there during a weekday. Aquarium currently under construction as a bigger museum is on the way. Only spent about an hour, but it was nice.
I loved this place. There was so much to see and learn, I wish I had more time to spend.
The aquarium is enjoyable, and the sea horse exhibits are wonderful. It's not as grand as some of the more modern aquariums like Monterrey are. Exhibits run small.
This is a awesome and amazing place and very knowledgeable staff.
I ve been here 3 times now, usually with my students for a field trip (I m a teacher). I love the exhibits, the animals, the touch tanks, and the informational shows. They do a good job keeping visitors constantly interested.
awesome fun for the whole family....always a good time
Very busy day at the aquarium. Would have been a better experience if all the exhibits were open, especially since it was the Urban Ocean Festival. Not many other exhibits/artists in attendance. Had high hopes that were let down.
Small offerings. Parking is a challenge. Hoping new wing will add significant exhibits. Crowded.
Large variety of sea creatures to see, and touch. Inside felt kinda cramped, hard to navigate with a large crowd, but plenty of outdoor space and exhibits to get to. Shows were fun to watch, probably visit again if we're in town.
Had an amazing tour led by John. Very informative and behind the scenes are very interesting.
This place is reasonable and fun for the kiddos. If your kiddos are young, it may be a good idea if you try to get the lesser expensive evening pass and just go for a few hours.
Amazing and beautiful place for marine life lovers and for kids.
We did the penguin encounter and loved getting to pet and cuddle a penguin!
Such a magnificent Aquarium. This is one of my favorite right up there with the one in Atlanta. Very educational, clean and laid out very well. Great for families or just a group of friends.
Excellent place to visit in Southern California. Everything there is engaging.
This is hands down the best Aquarium that I ever been to. You are able to touch a lot of the anaimals, for example, stingrays, sharks, jellyfish and even got to feed nectar to the Lorikeet for $4 per small cup, but definitely worth the experience. This Aquarium is way better than my home aquarium with a lot more hands on experiences. I would recommend visiting here, you won't be disappointed!
Nothing that can't be replaced by a YouTube video and a Nat Geo subscription. I'd highly recommend this for families with young children (5-12 years of age). Okayish place for dates. Definitely not a place to go alone or with teenage/adult friends.
I like going there with my siblings, the area is nice and a lot more to see than I thought.
Lovely facility, lots of interactivity and plenty of staff/volunteers around to answer questions about the exhibits. Looking forward to seeing it when the planned renovation/expansion is completed.
Great little educational spot to learn about various Marine ecosystems.
A must visit place specially if you are with kids. The seals with wow you with their performance and the penguins will keep you entertained with their antics.
