I will never get tired of going to the Aquarium. They have great exhibits and lots of hands on activities! Who can ever get tired of touching sharks, rays, and sea anemones. The 18+ Night Dives are fun too.

Too many people, so overcrowded and rude. Don't even know how to say excuse me. Poorly planned operation. Service representatives don't have any work ethic. No population control or supervision around the builiding.

Most of the exhibits are great, I was expecting something bigger since is by the sea but no, it is actually very small compared to others. Above all, I think the price is way higher compared to bigger aquariums.

Went for a special event, it was super cool as usual! But a little disappointed that some of the tanks were so dark and had no light to see certain animals. Other than that, I was so much fun and I can't wait to go again!! (:

Slightly disappointed I admit. Haven't been in quite some time so I was looking forward to see the growth but instead I was trying to understand why memory served a much larger Aquarium than the one I was currently at. Am I remembering incorrectly or has the aquarium reduced in size? Staff was polite and seemed educated within their current area. Prices were high but had the aquarium advanced more including size, I probably wouldn't have said anything. Tanks seemed like they could use a good cleaning and the magnitude of visitors def screams "you're too small, grow grow grow" #longbeachaquarium #longbeach #marinelife #aquariumofthepacific

Great aquarium. Not huge, but very approachable for a young family. Layout is great - you can basically so one large loop and see everything. The map stamp activity is awesome. They have a lot of animals and exhibits to touch and feel. Highly recommend this place.

Almost always busy, but it's a big place. The sights are always amazing. I absolutely love the jellyfish. It's a great place for a date, or for the family. It's fascinating and beautiful.

I went with a 4 and 7 year old they had a great time. The sea otters were the kids favorite. The kids did not want to leave.
I spent the extra $8.00 for the harbor tour and that was a total wast of time.

This place is a must to go. Very educational especially for the kids. They have theatres for short films to watch stories about our planet earth sea creatures and how weather and hurrricanes works. They have open aquarium where you can touch stingrays.

Fun!

This is a beautiful aquarium. It has a ton of exhibits and even has an aviary, which I did not expect. It is well laid out, and is very kid friendly. I would recommend going to get something to eat on the pier, which is right outside of the aquarium. The food inside is way overpriced.

Also, if you want to do a combo deal (i.e. Queen Mary) do the other portion first. We got tickets to the Queen Mary and the aquarium and now have to come back. The Queen Mary sells out of guided tour tickets early, which the aquarium doesn't mention.

Excellent exhibits, wonderful & knowledgeable employees. Kenny at the Moon Jelly exhibit took lots of time explaining all about jelly fish.

Warning: weekdays the Aquarium is inundated with school children some very well behaved others not so much. Earplugs would be a bonus.

Super cool...nice place to take the kids to learn about the ocean and the creatures inside. There is plenty to do, see and learn. There is even a petting lagoon where you can actually touch sharks, stingrays, sea urchins and more! Fun for the whole family.

Great place for kids and adults alike. It's big - plan to spend there the whole day. I also liked that I could leave the Aquarium and take a walk in nearby Shoreline Park and then re-enter. Both indoor and outdoor exhibits are equally amazing.

Love this place. Currently under construction in some areas but not much is closed. Every one is friendly. Parking lot is not far. Not too many food options inside. There is a splash pad inside which my toddler loves so think about bringing a change of clothes. Bring sunblock but they also sell some if needed.

It's a good Aquarium, the gift shop had super awesome stuff and there are soooooo many pokestops! If I lived nearby I would definitely become a member. However, because of covid 19, I was not allowed to do a lot of the things I had planned for. No movies or participating on the hands on exhibits.

Amazing place to bring your family and friends for a fun-filled day. they have so much to do here, right across the street they have a bubba Gump fish company. Aquarium has everything from sharks two eels, issue can touch, entire water seems stuck your arms down in. Really meeting spot to come with you in the family. I seriously suggest it.

Loved this place! There are so many different sea creatures in different aquariums. There's a part where you get to put your hand into the water and touch the ameoboas and a lot of areas for kids to play around in. Don't come before it closes though, because some of he outdoor stuff will be closed by then.

There was a lot of students there.

There was a lot of students there.
Therefore, if you mind the noise which kids are making, it's better for you to think about it.

Anyway, it was very interesting for me.
There were a lot of living things in the sea.
I would like to go again when I have the chance to go around this aquarium.

This is a must see when visiting southern California! It is awe inspiring and informative for the whole family. Each exhibit is cooler than the next. Plus there is lots of great stuff to do and see nearby, and lots of amazing restaurants! I will be back as soon as I can.

Very fun getting the map stamped but my 8 yr old thought the coloring book was a lame "prize" arrive when it opens l. There is less of a crowd and so much more fun. The shows are funny I enjoyed 4 hours there. It is a small aquarium but fun when you do the map activity of stamping

Night dive is a fun event to go to. Music from the numerous DJs around the aquarium was very nostalgic.
Going to the aquarium at night felt less crowded and ample room to view the marine animals. Had a fun time.

Love this place! There are so many unique creatures here! It's always fun to play find the fish in the tank with so many varieties! The seals were adorable and so much fun to watch! This is definitely a fun place for both kids and adults. We even got to see fish we've never heard of or seen before and that made it so worth it for us.

This aquarium has hit the right blend of entertaining and educating. The animal enclosures are all well kept, and everybody appears healthy and neurosis-free. There's the usual problem of not finding ID info for some of the things we saw in the tanks, and not being able to find other animals that were identified, but I guess that's a live collection thing. Well designed interpretive panels, even if a couple were a bit long. Layout of the aquarium is clear and attractive. Nice touch pools. We were there on a weekday, and the crowd was light and lines short. A little disappointed by the retail area, which was entirely for kids. Were looking for some ocean animal books for adults and struck out.

Got to touch moon jellies and sting rays! Also saw a bunch of sting rays fight over a head of floating broccoli in their tank - cutest struggle ever great day trip, took about 3-4 hours to fully immerse ourselves and enjoy each exhibit on a Saturday

Loved it, very much worth it!!!I haven't been here since I was a kid so it was very exciting bringing my son and husband who had never been there. They enjoyed it, beautiful exhibits, gorgeous sea animals, and super cool petting sections. We even were able to enjoy an early dinner and did another walk around before heading home.

Always a fun place to go with the kids. Many engaging exhibits, just enough things for kids to touch, and wonderful sights of our ocean's wildlife to apprecitate and learn about. I wholeheartedly endorse a family visit to the Aquarium. However, just being honest, if you are on a budget, abd gave a medium to larger family (4+ peolpe), be aware of the enteance fee, prices for food if you choose to eat there, and watch out for the gift shop. Both cafeteria and gift shop are nice aspects of the Aquarium but are pricey. Orher than that, this is a place that I will return to visit with my family.
