The atmosphere here and service is by far the highlight. So good! The food and drink options are excellent. We sat in the meatlocker, even though I don't smoke. Such a cool experience! Will definitely be going again.

Great place! From the very drive to the drive out was a delightful experience. Excellent COVID safe environment. Very friendly and attentive staff. Delish food and PLENTY of it. Destination experience! and for sure.

Had excellent service, very knowledgeable staff. Wonderful atmosphere and perfect lighting for a date night.

Went with some friends and all agreed the food. Ribs were slightly overcooked, and the steaks, I was told, was decent. Not the best.the salmon was wonderful, not overcooked, or undercooked. The sides and appetizer were amazing.

Overall excellent experience, and pretty good food.

This place is an icon for a reason. An army of staff sees to everything and the steaks are the best in town. Chateaubriand is killer. The spinach salad is exactly as it should be as well. If you are celebrating something and need to make it an occasion, there's hardly a better place around.

Food service and all personal greets you with a smile. A place I visit when I'm on vacation is a must do always in our time here in North Carolina.

We've had several special occasion dinners at The Angus Barn and brought out of town guests here too. We always make a request for the porch, we find it the coziest and it's always honored. These are a few of the reasons why last night we celebrated my daughters college graduation at The Barn!
The food is always outstanding! I had ribs and for the first time had a delicious prime rib! My best compliment goes to our server, Monique! She absolutely made my daughters and our families dinner extra special. She displayed professionalism and had so much knowledge of the food and wine. But mostly her sincere kindness and warmth was what made her so special and our dinner a wonderful experience. The Angus Barn is Lucky to have her!

Best nice date night in Raleigh. Costs money but a really nice place. Turkey lounge might be preferred in my opinion, more casual

I happened to be in town on business for my birthday and it was a random choice. Did not know what to expect when I pulled into the lot...or walked into the entrance...but it was AMAZING! Atmosphere, staff, food - very happy. Maybe the biggest lobster tail I've ever eaten. I'd never had sawdust pie. Yummy birthday cake to take with us. Will come back!

Not sure what happened, but I ordered mine medium and my wife ordered hers medium well. Mine came out well done, and my wife's came out rare. Which pretty much ruined our dinner experience. I'm thinking maybe the waitress needed to take notes rather than fail at memorizing everything.

Not the place that used to be. Staff was very unprofessional and poorly trained. First time I ve been back to Angus barn in 30 years a lot has changed in the Raleigh area we have many more nicer restaurants. Angus barn has not kept up with the level of service. Having said that the steak was good

A group of us landed at the Angus Barn as a recommendation for a good steak. They undersold the quality. Great atmosphere, service, and food. My bacon wrapped filet mignon was perfectly cooked. Spend a few dollars and spend a great night with friends at the Angus Barn.

Enormous great steaks and some seafood. Will damage your waistline

Very unique dining experience.... think Cracker Barrel meets Morton's. Great steaks, exceptional service and the wildest restaurant space you have ever experienced.

The food was delicious. It was a little pricey for me, however the food was well worth every penny spent. My meal was cooked to perfection and our server Jim, made our experience that more pleasant. I will recommend this place if you enjoy quality food and service.

Just simply amazing restaurant. The food, customer service, and ambiance is impeccable. Deb was an amazing waitress with more knowledge of the menu, many suggestions however hard to find anything that is not delicious, and history of the restaurant. After an amazing meal we took a tour through the restaurant while still in service! Staff is such a well oil machine and could not be more helpful in any way at all. Watch out for Paul he will also make sure if you have not been to Angus Barn. He will make sure you know it all. Van runs a great operation and could only imagine to see it during the holidays. We will be back next time we are in town. Thank all the staff that made an amazing first time and birthday celebration

Just went to Angus Barn for the first time last weekend. It's a beautiful place and the service is great, but it's just a tad bit overrated. The food here is great, don't get me wrong, but it's not nearly good enough for the prices.

Good food, Great service, Wonderful decor! I'd give this place 6 stars except for the outrageous pricing, and the food, though delicious, is just a touch below excellent.

Of course the Angus Barn gets 5 stars. If you don't know why, you should check it out. Amazing food and service, they always go the extra mile. Price is a bit expensive, but to be expected.

A Raleigh original! Excellent fare in a casual yet traditional atmosphere! Gracious southern hospitality and top notch service make Angus Barn hard to top! Make your reservations plenty in advance! This place is always packed!

Amazing meal and amazing service. Pricey but I felt very taken care of and everything I ate was incredible. I ordered the beef patty and my husband had the prime rib. Would definitely go back if I was visiting Raleigh to celebrate a special occasion or just to splurge on a nice meal.

Amazing food and excellent service! Somewhat of a "super fancy Cracker Barrel" kinda vibe in the best sense of the term. Definitely recommend eating light for the rest of the day, as there's a absolute ton of food. Also, be sure to reserve far in advance!

Wonderful place. We arrived a little early for our reservation, but were seated immediately. The ambience is great, but the food! Oh boy, the food was excellent. Onion soup flavourful and very hot, and then a rib eye cooked to perfection, with fries, and some veggies as sides. Others had the ribs (as big as they say) and seafood (very fresh). We didn't need the dessert menu. Highly recommended - but book, and book early for preferred dates - the place is *always* very busy. Which shows just how good it is.

We had our wedding dinner in the wine cellar at Angus Barn. Nicole was the event coordinator and amazing to work with. The night of the dinner the staff was SO FRIENDLY and knowledgeable. The food was spectacular and the room was beautiful. If you ever have a special event, contact Nicole for a wine cellar dinner. You will not be disappointed.

Probably the best steaks in all of NC and their burger (not on the menu) will feed 2 and is delicious. Great spot if showcasing Raleigh to friends or clients.

I received a gift card for receiving my doctorate degree. I took myself out and ate alone by choice. My server was Linda. She made me feel comfortable. The food was exquisite, fresh, hot and well worth the price. It is the day after Thanksgiving and it looks like Christmas inside. Warm, friendly, inviting and I will go back!!! It's worth it. Didn't wait too long, freshly made crackers and spreads. Complimentary pickle and olive tray. I had NY Strip cooked to perfection, served hot and fresh!! It was soooo good. The best part was the spinach salad with that warm poppy see vinegarette... I took some home. Angus barns is great whether you are dining alone or with others.

Great food and cocktails. Highly recommend the wild turkey lounge. A bit more layed back than the normal dinning room.

Evenings at the Angus Barn are consistently delightful! I've been a fan for many years, and still prefer to dine here whenever I'm in the mood for excellent beef, and incredible service. This is also where I prefer to celebrate special occasions and holiday gatherings with friends and family.

The food was overcooked and it took a while for service to just ask us what we were planning on getting. The decorations are overdone, you can't see anything in the dark, and there was a moment where the waitress placed a glass plate on top of the menu. The decorations really do make the place seem crowded and everything seemed chaotic. The prices for the meat aren't bad but what we had to pay for burnt food were not worth it.

Loved the food came down here for vacation with my girlfriend. Her uncle is a manager there. I loved the food and cheese and crackers the steak was cooked amazing the staff is friendly there every one there will go outta there way to make the customers happy the barn is beautiful. I will be coming back again at some point.

Angus Barn has thoroughly impressed me 1 out of 3 visits. The other two were good, don't get me wrong. However, the steak was only phenomenal the one time. They make a great drink, and the ablutions while you wait are excellent! (Olives, pub cheese, crackers, pickles, etc.)

Don't go if you're looking for dry aged beef, regardless to the website advertising all str is ks to be dry aged, there are no dry aged steaks available to order.

Loved the North Atlantic Salmon and garlic mashed potatoes!

Note that I can't speak to the traditional restaurant, we go specifically for the meat locker and the opportunity to enjoy a good cigar with a meal. Atmosphere is outstanding, service is usually equal. The menu probably hasn't changed in years, and that's ok though some tweaks or updates wouldn't be terrible. The quality of the steak can be inconsistent, but the variation only ranges between good and great, never bad. Excellent wine selection. Bourbon list hasn't caught up to the amazing things going in whiskey right now. Good variety of scotch and beer.

Great racks ... of ribs, live piano in the upstairs lounge, scrumptious desserts, fabulous service, exceptional accommodations for food allergies (they have an allergy kitchen!). All around great place. Make sure you get a reservation!

Great food, Wonderful service and very quaint decor.Be sure asionsa check out bathroom ladies.Decorated like a house and has hairspray,safety pins,Band-Aids and etc.if you need.Very pricy so just go there on extra special occasions.Don't forget to take a fresh mountain apple with you as you go out the door.

Nice meal from the spinach salad to the ribs and steak

This place is a must stop. The food is amazing and the staff is just as amazing. I got the tomahawk steak and at medium you could cut it with a spoon. We were the last group there and they still took us on a tour of the building. The wine cellar and smoking bar were amazing. But nothing compares to the wild turkey lounge or the gun room. I could eat there everyday. Felt so much like home there.

Been a long time since we were there.. they used to cut steak in front of you.. no more, salads are mediocre, table service wasn t that hot, I remember the baked potatoes were awesome last time .. no more.. all they charge and they can t keep up the restrooms, used one of the sinks, water came spewing out from top of faucet. The vegetables ain t worth the price they charge.

The Angus Barn is the local place for great steak -- carnivores should be happy here! I recommend the Chateau Brignand which was cooked to perfection. Make sure to sample the hollandaise sauce. The cheese and crackers is a nice treat that they also offer in the country store near the entrance. Extensive wine list. One minus was that the garden salad had less spring mix and more iceberg stems than I expected. However, homemade salad dressing made up for this. Excellent service and staff.
