I was a third-year student this summer doing a study abroad and internship program with Indiana University, where IU worked with Anglo. Anglo is comprised of the rudest, most money-hungry, unempathetic and classless employees and management I have ever worked with in my three years as a university student.
The housing they put us up in was in a word, disgusting. It was a run-down apartment an hour away from all of our internship locations, even though we were promised a "central" city location. We were practically on the city's edge and had to spend a ton of extra money on transportation because of Anglo's miscommunications about our Tube cards, which they blamed on us making up lies about our Oyster/Tube cards.
Two employees, Stephanie and Yogi, were especially cruel to our group. Stephanie continuously beat around the bush for every situation we encountered and made everything that went wrong that was her mistake seem like our faults. And Yogi, in charge of the residential part of the program, was just a straight-up rude person and violated our personal privacy by sneaking into our flat and taking photos of our belongings without our permission while we were not home.
I urge students and Universities to never use this money-hungry, run-down and shameful company who will simply steal your money, treat you terribly and then expect complete submission and cooperation when they have the absolute worst communication systems in place.
All of us students who were on this London experience with IU are not going to allow Indiana to use Anglo again and terminate any contracts or relationships. We urge any other universities to do the same so they do not experience the horrible treatment that we did.
