A nice location, touristy place just a minute or two our from the entrance. Suprisingly quiet considering its place, which is definitely a good thing.
The rooms were clean, the staff were helpful. Their pool was quite deep unlike most swimming pools in other hotels/resorts.
Considering the price and its accommodation, it was a satisfying stay.

A very nice 3 star hotel
Clean and well priced
Breakfast offerings is poor, and
Very difficult to get to as it's in the art of Kuta entertainment zone.

We stayed at the White Rose for three nights in a private villa with a plunge pool. We arrived in the morning expecting to leave our bags and wait until 2 pm before we could check in but we were able to check-in immediately and we were in our villa by 9:30 am. The villa was clean and well maintained by the cleaning staff during our stay. The staff were friendly and helped with a WiFi problem we had. The staff arranged pickup and drop off at the airport for us. We can recommend this resort to other people staying in the Kuta region.

Had a great stay here. This is a gated hotel with 24 hour security, which can be comforting.
The room was air conditioned and was very clean and well maintained. Room service is available and there is a massage/spa service available on site which is well priced and the Mrs was hooked, visiting 3 times in 8 days! The food was good and tasty. The grounds were very nice and well maintained also. Theres a paddling pool for the kids and a larger pool for the adults which has a 2.1m deep end. Alongside the pool is a spacious thatch roof bar/restaurant where the staff are awesome. Here you can use the smart t.v to play any music off you tube over the great sound system. Now the service. All I can say is...Wow! Outstanding!
Thank you all for making my first trip to Bali so memorable.

We were surprised to find that the hotel was so close to the memorial of the 2002 Bali Bomb disaster. The hotel is obviously ageing a little but the facilities are fine. Good size pool and exceedingly well maintained gardens. The public area's could do with a facelift as well as the breakfast area. If would help if all internal areas were non-smoking.

-Room was clean -Gardens are nice. -Noisy hotel next door however the noise doesn't carry into your room nor should one blame the White Rose. -Pool is nice -Staff are friendly. -Complimentary breakfast is good. -Hotel is right in the guts of Kuta so close to everything. -10/10 would do again.

Friendly staff, nice gardens and pool area. Room was clean and basic. Day spa is lovely with great massages. We were given a hospitality room to shower in etc in the afternoon before our flight home as we'd already checked out of our room in the morning which was a nice bonus. Downside was the hotel was noisy at night with neighbouring rooms very drunk, inconsiderate and noisy. Also not impressed with the 'fumigation process' that happens weekly, this stunk terribly and not keen on the idea of chemical pesticides being sprayed right outside your door (or at all for that matter). Not the sort of place I'd stay at again unfortunately.

Lovely hotel that has a simple but great continental breakfast, lovely pool and amazing spa treatments. All the staff were friendly and there's also a money exchange service at the reception. The location was great for all the places we wanted to see around the island. Would definitely go back there.

It is a great value for money hotel in the middle of the city. Staff are very friendly, service is professional, facilities are understandably a little aged due to its 23 years history, but very well maintained. Beautifully landscaped and hidden in the middle of a busy tourist area. Lovely Balinese buildings and decorations. Nice and somewhat secluded. I would recommend the hotel to anyone, especially families. Have fun.

Staff unfriendly and not interested in helping you...

Staff unfriendly and not interested in helping you , taxi and chauffeur touts everywhere in hotel making you irritated,Noisy rooms . You can hear people moving in verandah, hotel access through narrow stinky back lane of busy legian street . Loud music is played near the hotel at sky garden nightclub which annoys you all now ght if you want to catch a nap . Not good for people with babies as they do not have lift access in hotel any anywhere. Breakfast is good , pool is good but always busy less pool chairs . Garden is big . Will definitely not book it again .

Very disappointed in a few thing's, this hotel needs a lot of upgrading, they have no tea & coffee making facilities, no seating in the room and no DVD player either, we had to request extra hand towels, water and clean drinking glasses. The hotel is a bit run down too, I'm aware it's an older hotel but it's quite popular, so they need to pick up their game. Won't be back.

We had a great stay at the White Rose. The breakfast range and daily changes where an absolute delight and is not often found. The facilities where great and the friendliness of the staff was outstanding. The meals where excellent quality in the bar/restaurant and we had a great time there.
Thanks to the staff for a memorable holiday.

Location in the center of legian street. Breakfast so tasty. But no lift, our room in 3rd floor and we must use stair. Pool full of people, so u must go early morning to swim. Still get noisy from skygarden or vi ai pi bar.

We stayed here in September and some of it was good, some of it bad.
The bad: the breakfast buffet (which was included in the room price) was less than average. I remember wanting to pour coffee for myself and the waitress kept putting her fingers in the cup she wanted to hand me, it was a bit gross.
Unfortunately the crowd at this hotel was very rough, im talking next level bogans and tourists we didn't see anywhere else in bali. Once again i don't why, but it seems to attract a odd crowd.
The room was comfortable however had a musky smell, almost like old air conditioner smell.
The good: their pool is nice and large, the grounds are pretty and each room has a filtered water dispenser which means you don't need to keep buying bottles.
At night the music played by the bar was great, and we enjoyed our time by the pool. The second night however the music was terrible so it seems whoever works there that day picks where everyone else is to hear, its not carefully curated.
Overall we found the crowd the worst part of this hotel, however it is very central in kuta so worth it if you get a good price.

My friends and I stayed here during our stay. Overall, we loved the area which was close to the beach and airport. My favorite part was the cooking class with the chef. The room were cleaned everyday and the resort friendly employees, amazing spa and 24 hour security.

If you want to be in the centre of it all, but still be able to find that quiet area and relax by a pool, then this is for you. You have the SkyGarden, Paddy's and Bounty on your doorstep.

Breakfast was amazing with the staff pouring your coffee when it was dry, and offering suggestions for what to eat. The message's were pretty good, and fell asleep during one of them!
Rooms are a decent size, with TV and bar fridge (empty) and air conditioning, which we had on most of the time.

Pool is a good size, with a few funny looking dolphins being a fountain! There isn't much of a choice in alcohol there, but you are more than welcome to bring from outside. The little Circle K or Minimart just outside the entrance - they are top notch and will help you out as it's open 24 hours.

Definitely going back there. Just so close to everything! You walk about 50 metres and your at the entrance to Poppy's Lane II with Sky Garden there too. 20 min walk to Kuta main shops (Matahari) and 5 more mins to Discovery and Waterbom

Go here.

This place is fantastic! We stayed here for five nights. In the middle of crazy, noisy Kuta, this wonderful, quiet, safe, lush resort is a gem. The rooms are well air conditioned, spacious, and luxurious, the staff are all very polite and helpful, the grounds and pool are very well maintained, there is security 24 hours a day, the breakfast buffet is marvelous (and changes every day), and we felt that overall we got more than our money's worth. Will stay here again on our next to Bali.

The best place for holidaying, the clean and well maintained pool, parks n surrounding adding to its glory. The sporting staff was too nice. The accomodation giving royalish feeling. In room tea kettle needs must to be provided.

Unfortunately this hotel leaved a lot to be desired.
The greeting each day at reception desk or the days we had breakfast were pleasant. The tea they serve for breakfast though was like drinking luke warm milk. Not good at all. This hotel really needs to learn how to make a proper tea.
Upon entering our room for the first time it had a smell that reminded me of smelly wet towels or a mouldy type odor. I ended up buying some incense to burn in the room to try and take away the smell.
The bath towels were a dirty grey (appeared very well used and old) a bit shredded and bath mats had big holes in them (definitely need to purchase new towels etc.) and even when they were supposed to be fresh towels they literally stunk of cigarettes. Maybe the laundry where they have them washed is full of smokers? There were no flannels supplied. Something that I would find in any other hotel. I went and brought my own.
A lot of the paths around the hotel and driveways need fixing as you had to watch where you walked otherwise you would have rolled your ankle.
Mosquitoes at this hotel were rife!! We had to go and by insect spray to use in our room every time we entered as you could not stop them from getting in when opening the door and this was not the outside door either. It was when opening the door from the small foyer outside the rooms.
My son in-law who was staying with our daughter and grandsons opposite our room actually enquired about why they aren't fogging the hotel gardens (like other hotels we have stayed at in Bali). They told him they would but I believe this never happened.
One night as I got out of the shower there were mosquitoes in the bathroom and on the mirror. I slapped most of them with a wet hand, which left water marks and dead mozzies on the mirror. The next day while we were out, we assumed that our room would be cleaned. Upon returning to our room it appeared it had been cleaned as the bed was made. When I went into the bathroom the mirror looked exactly how I had left it the night before. Water marks and dead mozzies on it. So I assume that the bathroom wasn't cleaned very well - if at all - well the mirror had definitely not been touched by the house maid.
The rooms are extremely dimly lit. We had to turn every light on in the room just to try and see and even then it was a struggle. They need to add more lights or brighter bulbs.
There were days you would go to swim in the pool in the afternoon and were told there were no beach towels as they had not come back to the hotel from being cleaned. So all day no one had towels to use if they went swimming. We had to go back to our room to get our stinky bath towels! Not impressed! I would say the hotel at the time was not busy, probably not even half capacity and they still could not supply enough beach towels for the pool users most days. At any given time there would be around 10-35 people maximum actually using the pool.
The only reason we stayed at this hotel was because our daughter was there with her husband and children. If we had the money we would have moved ourselves, our daughter and her family to another hotel.
We would not recommend The White Rose to anyone.

The hotel was a little tired and rundown.
Convenient to everything was a positive but we'll give it a miss next time.
Staff very helpful and friendly, breakfast was also good.
Too many Australian idiots making noise and not considering others was our experience as they moved us twice because of these noisey inconsiderate people.
Overall it was an ok hotel

We reach the hotel at 1pm knowing the check in time is 2pm. We were at the pool bar waiting patiently. It was 3 pm and we were still waiting for our room. We got the rooms almost 4pm and the weird part was giving us just one key card! Next day we asked at the reception to help us with calling a taxi, They said okay and said it's coming, we waited for 10mins and then we went back to follow up, the front said it will take 45mins for taxi. we are fused! we just book a grab instead. so my point here is this hotel is good location but their staffs are unhelpful and unwelcoming.

Located in the prime area, almost everything (eating and shopping) is at walking distance including the Kuta beach. Though being in the hustle and bustle of the town, the Hotel is quite quite and calm. Nice and Peaceful place to stay. Good service and well maintained rooms.

Great place to stay. Just in the night street of the Kuta. I really enjoyed my 5 days of stay here and highly recommend to everyone. They provide the best continental breakfast with best choices and the staff were so helpful and friendly. The service is so quick. The pool is big and clean. Best place to hangout in the streets for nightlife. You have awesome offers nearby and great shopping place too. Very safe and awesome stay!

Nice breakfast
One of the most plus point is very near to market and night life.
All good pubs are at walking distance.
You don't need a taxi to enjoy night clubs.

Spacious rooms and beautiful surrounding. It has lot of greenery and a big swimming pool also. The only reason why I gave it one star less is that breakfast is repetitive and you do not get many options for lunch and dinner.

We had two deluxe standard rooms down the far end of the hotel, and have had a great time. Rooms are clean, comfortable and we have no complaints. The pool and pool area are beautiful. And so centrally located in Kuta, easy to get to shops and restaurants. Its right near ground zero. We will definitely be staying here again. Lovely staff. Fantastic holiday.

Hotel very well located, 100 meters from the Legian Street, with a large park well maintained, a beautiful swimming pool, and room (bedding Lux) very comfortable. if you are phobic lizards go your way, these clever little sneaks into the room ;-) to hide. Breakfast and decent, and the staff very smiling and friendly (like all Balinese). We had 6 very enjoyable nights.

Very Balinese feel, a Haven 30 metres from legion Rd. I guess a few guests came in at 2am and made a racket but it's par for the course re it's location and not fault of hotel.
Couldnt hear any noise from the street at hotel and It had the cleanest bathrooms of any Indonesian hotel I've stayed in
