I love this studio so much! Having visited yoga studios all over Australia and Asia, I can attest to the fact that Anchorage Yoga is a world class studio. We are lucky to have something like this in Anchorage. I have wrist issues, so I almost exclusively come to AYC for the Hot 26 classes. It s especially nice to warm up with their heated room during the dark and cold winter months. I m looking forward to seeing what happens with their newest expansion. Hats off to AYC! Bravo!

I loved the studio space and ample amenities - from the Emergen-C to free towels and mats for first time students - to the bath products. Class was a great mixture of challenging poses, contagious energy, and meditation. I only wish I was in Anchorage permanently to enjoy the studio again.

Amazing atmosphere (staff and actual yoga studio), talented and engaging staff (and kind!) and excellent variety of classes- I can always be trying new things or find comfort in my favorite classes at Anchorage yoga!

Great atmosphere, clean and cozy place, polite and knowledgeable people. I took a deep stretch class with Starr and was very pleased. The class is challenging but rewarding. I'm coming back for more.

If you are already a yogi, the schedule here is wide and varied and pretty easy to fit what you want/need into your schedule. Their app makes it even easier.
The instructors are super, and there seems to be a ton of them. That in itself is a plus since, though you will have your favorites, you'll often find something new to try with a new (to you) instructor, or have a pleasant surprise if the regular instructor is off and you get a sub.
Reading the instructors' bios, there is a frequent reference to how utterly much it improved their own life, either from a physical or "life balance" perspective. Me, at 68 with arthritis that stopped most of my obsessive biking and all my running, I need it just to stay limber. And it certainly works. I've tried a few classes that were just not for me, but I'd expect that. Personally, I don't expect a rebirth experience, but if it can put the brakes on gaining speed on the other side of the hill, I'm all for it.

First ever Yoga class was so different from what I'm used to. I'm a regular at Anchorage Cycle and the experience there is fast, loud and visual which is so different than the yoga class. Bronson was a great teacher as he was concerned about my proper position and came over a couple times to offer fixes. The class was full and there were certainly people in there at different ability levels but I felt comfortable as a beginner. Also, my two kiddos attended Kids Yoga at the same time and they loved it!!

this is one of my favorite studios ! i've been practicing yoga all over the country/world for 6+ years and this studio is remarkable.
there's a great variety of classes offered at the right times.
the vibe is a perfect blend of down-to-earth, body-focused, modern, and not over-the-top woo woo/spiritual, just the right amount of everything. the teachers are great, the staff is friendly, and the studio and bathrooms are always very clean.
i also love that they don't keep the room SO DANG HOT. it's a nice 102-103 degrees at most, which is perfect for me since my blood pressure is a little low - i'm able to practice without getting too lightheaded.
i got a membership and i've been going almost every day.
thanks AYC!

Overall, the staff and facility are excellent. However, the classes are outrageously overcrowded. Almost every class fills up days in advance (and you have to be waitlisted) and parking is terrible.

The studio is clean, inviting, and filled with amenities. The class schedule is accommodating for us working folks. The room IS SO HOT lol. Which is appreciated. Super friendly desk staff, and the postcard waiting for me in the mail when I returned home was a really nice touch. Love the cold towels. Love everything included with the drop in fee. Melanie was an awesome teacher, and Josh was really fun.

They've created a beautiful environment without demanding cold professionalism from their instructors. I've taken classes all over town but keep coming back because of how approachable and relaxed their obviously intelligent and knowledgeable staff continue to be. Christa and Melissa are favorites. I appreciate that they can both easily name the Sanskrit names of poses without stumbling and just as easily name the muscle groups and connective tissues engaged. Both have humor to keep beginners comfortable, I only hesitate to recommend AY when it comes to price, but when they have specials I share on social media and text interested friends immediately.

I loved this place for the first several years. Then they jacked the prices through the roof and got really hardcore about their punch card expiration policy. No forgiveness even for someone who s been going there since the beginning. I find this offensive and will not be recommending the studio or buying any more services until at least the punch card policy is relaxed. And I just can t get over the $20 drop in. $20!! Really? Yoga is only for the elites, here. I love the facility though and wish I could attend the really excellent classes.

I really like the variety of classes and class times offered, as well as the cleanliness of the space :). I also like that there are items to borrow or rent, like blocks, mats, and towels, and items available for purchase such as mats, bolsters, and apparel. The staff are also very kind and welcoming. I definitely want to come back for more classes as soon as I can :).

Anchorage Yoga is an excellent studio. It has ample space and a great locker room. The parking lot can be tough at times. They have mats and towels for the practice, so as a visitor to town - I recommend AYC

Top notch. Have you ever been to a studio where the instructor calls to see if you liked the class? How great is that?! Not only that but the classes are fantastic and make a big difference in my well being immediately. Big gratitude to Anchorage Yoga for doing it well.

This studio is fantastic, and always has been. Anchorage Yoga has an immediately calming atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable; the instructors well trained, and they manage to give individual attention- even when the class is full. The studio, changing rooms, etc, always clean.

I no longer live in Anchorage, so I make it a point to take a class every time I visit. Thank you Anchorage Yoga!

MOST AMAZING yoga studio that I have ever visited!...

MOST AMAZING yoga studio that I have ever visited! Thanks to instructor, Nicole, and Director, Katey, for managing such a tremendous and beautiful studio. This studio is hands down, the cleanest, most spacious and most welcoming of any studio that I have ever visited. I loved the complementary water refill stations, packets of Emergen-C, bath and hand towels. The 90-minute hot yoga session (26 x 2) absolutely helped rid my body of all of the soreness following the half-marathon the day before. Nicole was an incredible and supportive instructor. She has an exquisite demeanor and is very patient and personable.

All of the front desk staff is so nice and personable. Dhana is so nice and smiley. She really has a special way of making you feel great. Orion makes you wonder if you walked into a yoga class or a comedy club. Nafisa is always there to help you burn all the calories you consumed over the weekend in just one class. And I can t forget David, I saved the best for last. He has his way of making you feel on top of the world when you walk out of his class. Overall I really love the Anchorage Yoga community.

I am brand new to yoga and didn't know what to expect. First, let me say that I felt welcomed from the moment I walked in the door. I attended Hot 26 for my first class, which was quite challenging. I appreciated that the instructor, Nafisa, was understanding that I was novice; at the same time, she was insistent that I give it my all and try for perfection. I also appreciated the variation of ability levels in the room - I had several examples to model my postures after. I intend to stick with the hot yoga groove - I'm usually quite inflexible, but I was able to achieve a surprisingly broad range of motion. Also, the price is affordable and the facility is very well kept.

It is beginner friendly. I feel a lot of shame about being overweight and out of shape. The instructors, fellow students and staff are very encouraging - supporting progress and helping me give myself permission to be where I am

I love Anchorage Yoga Studio! I have been to studios all across the nation, and Anchorage Yoga is my #1 choice. Their classes are numerous and the instructors are professional, fun, and genuinely care about you as a yogi and NOT just as some client. They take the time to talk to you, get to know you, and help you in class with anything! I have never felt so welcome and like part of a family, a family that takes you on a physical and spiritual journey with a plethora of different classes for all yogi levels. My favorites are the hot flow classes, talk about a workout! Anchorage Yoga is a place for everyone!

I have to say, trying out Anchorage Yoga was one of the best decisions for my health! I've never participated in such a healing and strengthening practice. There's no competition; everyone I know that has gone to anchorage yoga has raved about it! Clean facility, and superb instructors.

This studio professes absolute health but after I started attending classes my hair started falling out and I was completely exhausted. The studio owner claimed I was 'detoxing' while my acupuncturist said it was a very bad idea for me to keep attending classes, and the heat was not good for my health. The owner refused to refund my money and told me to "get back on the mat", horrible health advice, and business ethics. I will never attend this studio again and do not recommend it.

First experience in Yoga was at Anchorage Yoga and Cycle and was fantastic. In fact I had such a great first experience I went 4 days in a row and signed up for a 3 month trial. Multiple instructors in those first 4 days and all did a great job with the "newby."

Very nice studio. Clean locker room with all the amenities. I was that guy who thought yoga was a joke. Been going for a short while now and I have learned so much. I m already feeling the benefits to my body and my mind. The instructors I ve seen so far really teach you how to relax and not only connect with with your mind and inner self, but also with life and everything around you. I was always a skeptic, but no longer. This studio is helping me to improve my quality of life.
