Excellent place to visit for your holidays and functions. The Hotel is located in a scenic and picturesque area where you find Sea and Lagoon. Enjoy with your family and kids with a long lasting memory. There are lot a activities you can attain and water sports, Gym, Souvonior shop and more. Meals are delicious and the staff is friendly. Recommend to visit. And meet mr nuranga over there. In their staff he is one of service base guy. Got a great service from him.

Hi! We had an awesome time at Avani Kalutara.
We were looking for a good place since my mother's birthday also was close by. When we saw the google reviews we felt this will be a good place.

You have to call hotel Ananthara to put a reservation and those people are very well trained and very friendly. Even before I say it is my mother's birthday they asked me whether there is any special occassion we are celebrating. All the way they kept contacting us.

On the day we arrived they were so welcoming and very friendly. Rooms were very clean and you can choose whether you want sea view or lagoon view. If you are staying in the ground floor I think lagoon view is the best. Somehow since we needed two rooms we had the chance to experience the both views. You have the facility to make coffee or tea and they offer softdrinks as complimentary gifts.

Food is the other factor you are considering about when you select a place. You can have a good selection, variety of foods such as sri lankan ,italian indian and etc. Breakfast was my favourite. Believe me no one will be unsatisfied because they have alot in their list.

You can have a good walk around the hotel ,in the lagoon side the kaluthara bodiya can be easily seen. Thats a very nice view. People play beach volleyball also. There was a pony to take you on rides.

When talking about the beach if you can walk a little towards the riffles , You can experience a wonderful views as well as the waves were mind blowing . You can have a sea bath safely. The beach area is full of sea shells.

Since we went for a special reason they have decorated my mother's room and when we came back to the hotel after going to the beach there was a surprise birthday cake on the table inside the room. My mother was very happy and surprised.

We had one of the best holidays at Avani, I should thank every staff member for making our stay this much memorable. Keep up the good work

I would suggest everyone to visit Avani Kaluthara atleast one time, it is a well maintained hotel which offers you a splendid time.

If you ask me whether I want to visit once again.. I would say YES OFCOURSE!!!!

Place,foods,people,pool ....etc everything was more than perfect.

Unique location,locates in the river mouth river from one side sea from the other side.if you looking for big game fishing,this is the best place to stay and fishing too.

Have a great view through lagoon and sea. Sceneric. Car park is spacious. But heavily dissatisfied about the service. Went for an event there. Snacks supplied less than the crowd. also tea table didnt have sugar for long time. Service guys saw both incidents and they got hidden from area. Worst ever.

We had a excellent weekend at Avani Kalutara. In spite of the restrictions the staff took care of their guests well. The food was really good. Will always recommend this hotel for anyone who wish to come on a holiday.

A lovely resort in perfect location. I had a great time with my friends. I loved the location since its separated from the noisy roads. Rooms were clean and tide, but i wish room service be better. I stayed around 2 days and very satisfied with the food and location.

The hospitality was so welcoming. Clean rooms , clean bathrooms , food was excellent staffs were very cooperative and we had a great day with a huge family.

Rooms very spacious and neat. Very friendly staff. Unfortunately, very few guests here at the moment, making it a bit too quiet. A lovely place to recover from a beautiful tour. No guests who already put down their towels at 8 o'clock. Swimming pool very clean and no pushy beach vendors. Unfortunately, the sea is turbulent, but the beach is clean. The breakfast and dinner buffet extensive and very well cared for. Well worth 4 stars.

Highly recommended resort for a relaxed vacation. Very friendly staff and attentive. Service is very fast considering the large space. However I wish the pool would have colder water. The location is absolutely beautiful though

Excellent hotel to relax not far from Colombo. Service was excellent and the rooms and amenities were good. The beach was pretty lackluster as its not very clean. Food was served in buffet and was decent without much of a wide spread. Recommended.
