Anantara Kalutara Resort & SPA and Avani Kalutara Resort & SPA Review

A nice relaxing retreat after our adventure around the island. The pool are was well maintained and well enjoyed. The third party tour guides standing just on the other side of the fence at the pool (on the public beach) was a bit of putting. They were harmless but it did take away from the vibe. The beach is nice for a walk but it is not very appropriate for swimming with strong currents.

The breakfast buffet was okay, nothing special. The fact that there was no proper coffee really was a negative for me. How long could it possibly take to order supplies and make proper coffee? I don't go on holiday to drink instant coffee.

This is actually one of the best place i have ever visited... Hospitality was really good and we loved it... Rooms were clean and included everything we needed( Tv, wifi, soft drinks, kettle, iron...etc.). Food was top class and had good variation including sri lankan and western... Although beach here isnt suitable for bathing... If you walk along you'll find riffles which is really interesting place to have a bath.... Really liked the visit we had... One of the best hotels i have ever stayed... Hoping for another visit

Food is good but deserts have to improve alround,very good we enjoyed the band .all the staff are very friendly

I came with the lanka hospital day outing group... evrything was excellent...great service and location... special thanks should goes to mr.nimesh at the front office for making our day memorable.

Avoid rooms with 100 numbers. Massages are extremely inflated in price

We went to celebrate our anniversary. They have nicely arranged the room with cake and free mini bar with soft drinks. The Resort Staff was very helpful and Friendly. Food also tasty. You can enjoy the sunset at beach

Nice and calm place for vacation. Surround by the sea and lagoon. Rooms also comfortable and nice.

We stayed for one night at avani for our honeymoon.. ecxellent service from staf..Specially from front office Nimesh and Roshantha.

Rooms are not spacious enough and you could hear everything happening outside in the corridor.. You could hear whenever the next room guest closes the door, I even woke up for that in the morning.
Weekend dinner buffet wasn't up to standard, so don't expect much but morning breakfast buffet was amazing and had so many different varieties starting from traditional Sri Lankan to English breakfast.

Can have enjoyable evening by the sea side, with a nice pool.

Honestly one of the best hotels in the hospitality industry around Kalutara! The service and the food was exclusive and excellent. The one day trip was totally worth it Loved every part of my spend the day! And Mr Jayantha was one supportive and great member of stuff who gave us a great hospitality experience overall... Good luck and keep up the great quality
