Anantara Kalutara Resort & SPA and Avani Kalutara Resort & SPA Review

We enjoyed our stay. Staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing. Food was really nice. followed the quarantine rules without disturbing visitors.

It was a good experience with Avani Kalutara. Had a short visit there only for one night.
Gave four stars since the dinner was not as per the expectation. Specially, bakery items seemed not upto level. Tasty desserts...

Rooms were really good. Location is exceptional

It has very good view. It is better place for a photo shoot like wedding day. However service and food (Im a vegetarian ) not the best.

One of the best experience I've had in any of the properties I've dealt with and stayed at as i work in a tour company. Service given by Madushanka and Nuranga was really really good and the rooms too, specially by Definitely a highly recommended place to spend a relaxing time

Very nice 4 star hotel. Nice location. Clean, well-equipped rooms. With free soft drinks and water in the minibar. Dressing gowns and safety deposit box available. Nice balcony with a view of the river mouth. Pleasant swimming pool with super friendly poolboys who come to open your umbrella and lay your towel. Staff are very friendly everywhere, including Nimesh who was helpful to provide another shower after checkout. Breakfast is delicious and the best in Sri Lanka. The food in the a la carte restaurant is tasty, only the pasta was slightly less. Great end to our vacation as it is close to the airport and the best hotel we have had in Sri Lanka!

Great food. You get both the lagoon and the beach. Very active hotel, lots of stuff going on. Nice beach with good lagoon activities too. The pool is a bit small.

Went to Avani Kalutara few years ago. I feel standards have dropped. Buffet spread is very average

A real luxury place to spend vacation.
only found less option for food choices. more choice of fish, kabab etc should be added. specially famous asian cuisine (like- indian, Bangla food) can be immediate added options which will increase the variety of choices for foreign travellers.

We really enjoyed our holiday. Service was really top class and food was very excellent also everything was very perfect. We will come back again sri Lanka, we really highly recommend Avani Kalutara.

Good location & nice vive. But not recommended for weddings. Because the service is very poor & unprofessional. The menu is also not good.

4 Star hotel located in a unique location.. peninsula type point, surrounded by lagoon and sea.. Rooms are really clean. Large swimming pool and a huge acre of coconut garden can be seen.. Even though sea is nearby do not bathe there due to the slope.. within the hotel there is a bar, pool table. Chess and carrom boards are available. Marvelous place to spend your leisure time

We visited for a wedding. It was a good experience. Anantara looked fancier buy Avani may have better views. Friendly staff , good breakfast. The plug points are a challenge in the rooms. The breakfast spread was good . I do recommend a visit !

With a warm welcome we entered to this lovely place to enjoy our baby moon. They got a very friendly staff and they were so prepared to help us anytime. We booked a lagoon view room and the room was cozy and nice. Their soft drinks at the mini bar was complementary, it's surprising as nothing in minibars is complementary in other hotels.
They got a family umbrella, bathrobes, safe, iron with ironing table. Avani doesn't have soap in their bathrooms only shampoo,shower gel and conditioner.
They had varieties of tea and nescafe but they don't have cream. So if you need milk you probably should ask from room service.
Pool is considerably small compared to most hotels.
Their breakfast buffet is great and delicious. Food is nice.
Altogether nice atmosphere. Good food and enjoyed the stay very much.

Good hotel with a friendly staff. Its full with foreigners. Few locals i have seen. Room are good. Complimentary cofee,tea,suger and 2 water bottles available. Balcony with chairs and a table. Dinner buffet is good. Good place to relax and enjoy the day without any hassle..

Gorgeous beach views with their own nice building structure. Enough parking available for any event. Property is very well maintained. Staff is friendly and very supportive with quick service. They have nice variation of cuisines.

Stay at Avani Kalutara Resort is a great experience. Accomodation,other facilities like pool, gym, bar, gameroom, etc , foods and the staff is quite good. The buffet is excellent. Good for people who are here for relax.

From multiple lap pools to beautiful beach views. The service of the staff compliments the grandeur of the resort.

Where the hotel is located is nice and the staff is friendly. However the food was not so good. All the leftover from lunch they have made it for dinner as well. Cleanliness of the glassware and cutlery is not so good.

Excellent stay and wonderful time we had at Avani Kalutara. We love this hotel and my kids were pretty much enjoyed. The kids club was lovely. Restaurant staff and front desk staff also very friendly. Delicious food and courtesy to chef and all staff

My 14 day Quarantine period at Avani Kaluthara was very pleasant and the service's which was provided by the hotel was excellent. Welcoming,the introduction regarding my stay and facilities was clear and assured safety. The Menu included a variety of food which was delicious and served on time. Wi fi which was fast, television which had many channels and also the pre programmed Movie's coverd the entertaining part. I thank Avani and the team for making my stay a pleasant one.
