I had a blast!
I had a blast!
I went, in a single kayak, on the all day sea kayaking trip.
I had never kayaked before, let alone row 10 miles, in the sea (great workout!), in one day.
I was a bit sore after, but.....I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!!
The tour guide did a great job of watching out for each person, in each of the kayaks. He engaged in conversation with each of us. Trust me....that was a feat because all of us were going at different speeds (I was the slowest..so sad).
And the ultimate, best part of the trip.....the sea life!
I saw a sea cucumber, starfish, tinsy tiny fish that jumped out of the water pretty much the whole trip, a bald eagle that swooped within 60 feet above my head, 2 sea otters, a lot of sea lions (including a baby!!!). The sea lions (and baby) kept following, from a distance, for awhile until they gave up and went back home.
It was AWESOME!!!!
Then there's the views... WOW!
In the insanity of our government and craziness that has hit this world....I had forgotten about what was more important....calm, peace, and natural 'behavior'.
I won't say more about the sadness of the world, but I will say this......
If you want to remember what it's like to be human again, and you're traveling through Anacortes......take a sea kayaking tour with this company, because they're...... AWESOME!!!!!
Side note: Before I went on this trip I was warned that I would be lucky to see one sea lion. So, before the trip, I prayed really hard, and kept my mind opened. I told myself that I would be happy just to get away from the insanity of the city...just for a few hours. I told my Lord that I would be happy with whatever I saw.
This trip was a blessing for someone that started her life over again 4 months prior to the virus, only to lose it when the government started mishandling everything.
I don't know where, or what my life will end up like.....but I know this..... I'm not going to forget that there's still beauty, or even kindness, in this world anymore.
Thanks for being in business!!!
Cheers
