Ameristar Casino Vicksburg Review

Use to be my home away from home, the staff is still amazing, play back 10%, it was my first time back after a bad experience back in August on my Birthday. So I'm sitting there playing slots, an elderly lady across from me playing, she pull down her mask to get a puff off of her inhaler, this very loud and disrespectful lady security guard told her "put you mask back on or get out, she example that she had just use her inhaler and was putting in up it up from using it, she said she didn't care pull the mask up or leave, so attempted to pick her mask up from where she dropped it when trying to us her inhaler, security told me I couldn't come and help, after losing over $600 and witnessing that,cash much as I love Ameristar after all these years as a member I was ready to call it quits

Stopped by to see the area, do a little gambling, and grab a bite. The casino is small and appropriately themed as an old style riverboat. Staff is professional and helpful. The casino is also extremely smokey and the air smelled stale. During my visit, the area was under a boil water notice so didn't get to try the restaurants.

Several stays in past 6 months. Always a good experience and professional, personable service.

Got to my room and the door was locked open and there was a bag of cleaning products (large industrial use size) left on the door as to suggest that I'm supposed to clean my own room. The smoke detector was constantly beeping and the bed didn't have a sheet on it only the topper.

The staff were very understanding and friendly when I promptly checked out.

Well maintained for an older building. I just wish that the steak restaurant was open during the week. Their food is great. Top floor of the riverboat casino.

All I can say is that the room was free, other than that it needs an overhall

Slot machines, card tables, ,sport games and lots of fun

It's intertaining don't go planning on winning and you won't be disappointed

Recieved great service throughout the casino as well as the restaurant. I will definitely be visiting this place again if I'm ever in Vicksburg!

Nice Campground, friendly staff, nice place to stay and relax for the night.

If you like sleeping and feeling like you're falling (on an endless slide spiral to hell) then this is the place for you!

I liked everything except my empty pockets when I left!

It's has a very good lobby and the people are very friendly and I would go there again.

Had high expectations - too high. Our room was very dirty upon arriving - it looked like no one had stayed in it in since pre-covid. There was dust on every surface, handprints all over the wall....?, and dirt/grime on the floors. We were also placed in a room right across from the cleaning services room and were woken up very early in the morning by the cleaning staff laughing and carrying on very loudly (lasted for hours.) The room was also very stuffy - we believe the temp is set to not go below 70 degrees no matter what you may put it on. Bed was uncomfortable and chair looked soiled.

Only positive note is that the staff at the front was very nice upon arrival!

I would recommend spending a little extra $$ and staying at Margaritaville down the road.

Some staff are friendly while others are not. Just doesn't seem like a lot of excitement.

The hotel was very nice. Our room was clean. I would recommend a stay here if you're needing a day or two to decompress on a road trip or something.

Poor service. Shuttle bus is out of order. Stay elsewhere.

Fun night at the Bottleneck Blues bar. Friendly environment and friendly staff.

Extremely fun! They have the old and new machines along with wait staff always around when needed! Not to mention, winnings!!!!

The perfect place to be on a week end. Good food and great entertainment.

Casino was depressing. I guess that is what a local casino looks like but it was super depressing.
Staff at the restaurant were nice but food was not.

My first trip to Ameristar, it is a must see. The casino is nice, lots of live card tables and plenty of slot machines. There is a non-smoking area on the first floor and a really great bar on the 2nd. The buffett on the top floor overlooks the Mighty Mississippi, great views. Escalators to go from floor to floor and friendly staff.

I lost like hell here but I enjoyed it.. I will be going back to get my money lol

Dealers at the craps table were bullying me. Fully aware of the etiquette of craps, they were still being jerks about every little thing.

The buffet was delicious and has been renovated to a very nice updated decor. The service was excellent and very friendly.

They were stingy with our supplies but a nice place to stay

Stopped in for lunch, buffet closed. Dropped a couple dimes, won 700 bucks!

The slots are so tight and don't plan going back.They are a joke !!!

I enjoyed myself at the Casino,,,but either all of the waiter's was off or on break I was there 3 hours and didn't get NOT 1 Drink!!!!

Had fun, lost some dough, but all in all pretty good!!!

This is a smaller casino but decent. There are a small amount of tables and a lot of slots. Slow to pay. Smokey as heck and after 3 hours of gambling not ONE waitress asked us if we wanted drinks. :/

They charge 20 dollars for truckers to park.. The shuttle rides right by you.. It's hard to get a drink.
And they ain't paying out no money..

Always have a great time! The employees are attentive and friendly. The establishment is clean.

Great casino! I lost 28 buck but I had fun for awhile.

Stayed at RV park. Came over to casino for dinner. We were not told we had to have reservations. Walked on and walked out. Won't be back.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Tried to rent a room and was told the system was down until 5 am. Asked if I could nurse my 7 month old in the deserted semi secluded lobby while we waited for the system to come back up and I was told they didn't allow that there but I could use the bathroom if I wanted to. Would you eat your dinner in the bathroom? Apparently their desk clerk doesn't know that my right to feed my child is federally protected. I will be contacting an attorney.

The hotel is beyond amazing. I got a two room suite with the jacuzzi. My 2 year old thought the jacuzzi was a swimming pool. Good view. The room was very luxurious. I will stay there again for sure and it will be soon! Was definitely worth 200 a night

Pretty decent amount of fun in a city with not a whole lot to do. The casino is fun and the view is nice.

RV Park is pretty nice but it's a long walk to the bathroom, the casino is ok and now has sports betting but they have a bar downstairs where you can't get anything to eat and a bar upstairs where you can eat but don't have anything to drink.

Not a bad place if you want to gamble have fun and drink on the house. The only issue is all the smoke. It hard to breathe if your not a smoker. I wish there was a smoke free section but what can you do.

The food was hot a d delicious. The service was great.

New updated buffet is great with some good food. Will be back.
