Ameristar Casino Vicksburg Reviews

I'm from Australia and the last time I was here I was to young to enter the casino by just a month :( now I'm back more than 15 years later I found it to be quite enjoyable with a few Wins and some extra cash in my pocket. The place has ample parking and the staff are very helpful, friendly and professional service. There's also free WiFi for guests which is a plus. I'm not sure of the Hotel here as I'm yet to stay there but I will return to see what the hotel is like.

It was horriable it took me over 30 minutes to find a cocktail waitress

This casino is a cruel joke! I went in, hit my game (craps) and yeah Im horrible at it but at least I have fun. The mood of the entire room sucks. I try to crack a few jokes with employees working the table and area for nothing. My comments and attempts to lighten the dread and gloom of the section were lost on these people who obviously hate their job.(except the guy at the front door, he was kind) It was a sat. Nov. 1st 2014. Daylight savings time night. I had never been to this casino before but if thats the best attitude you get on a saturday I can only imagine what its like during the week. I was lured in by the promotion loose $50 and we give you $25 back which is like half your loses back .. right? wrong. I gave my I.D. to the boss at the craps table to get a card to track this. She tells me that she cant print me a card (prob. because that would mean doing something like work huh) but she has me in the system. I loose almost $400 through the night. So before I go to leave the casino I go to the cage to get part of my lose back....NO in fact I've not been placed in the system at all. The lady most likely ( in my meager opinion) saw that I had an out of town I.D. and took advantage of a mark. Something she must have been trained to do. Save you some time, just go to biloxi like I should have last night.

Awesome casino to eat and play slots with friends or family members! Their food at the Heritage buffet restaurant is delicious now since the whole restaurant had been rebuilt about a few years ago.

Everything about this place was going great. The hotel and staff were awesome. Even the two ladies that drove us to the casino in the shuttle were so personable. The casino was a little thin, but it was a Monday. The dealer were nice, and didnt mind teaching my husband and I. The only that took the score down was the restaurant inside Casino. Bella's bakery, I think it was. The customer service was awful, and the food was just as bad. Well let me take that back. I ordered a frozen daiquiri that was great. My husband ordered a bbq plate, and he could barely eat the ribs. If we go again I'll make we go on a day the buffet is open.

What wonderful casino. Wonderful service. Carol in the valet was really top-notch and went over the top. Highly recommend.

This place is okay. No where near as nice as the Laberge in baton rouge

Another great visit to Ameristar Casino! It's just a short drive from Jackson and well worth visiting!

I cannot win at all. I just give them my money when I go. I just got tired of losing my money so I stopped going.

Buffet food was great. Dessert was lacking, but crab legs, grilled shrimp, and amazing fried chicken more than made up for it. Casino workers were very helpful and friendly.

The machines are too tight and you can't even get play for the money. It seems like the more money you play the less you get on comps and free play .I do better at the other casinos.

The Ameristar Hotel in Vicksburgh, Ms is a comfortable and clean place where you can rest and relax from a hard fight on the casino floor. It isn't a 5 star hotel but it's worth its weight in gold.

Big casino with plenty of table games and slots. Buffet is a little pricey but good.

Spent too much money. No all you can eat crab legs on friday. So ate at the deli. Food good at bella too

Excellent services. Rooms were very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Food was ok, ham and pork chops were over cooked. Pig feet was excellent and the fried okra. Service was good.

Definitely play at tables if you come here because you won t win at the slots. Slots are very tight. Bet $9 and on a win you get $1. Lost over $100 before I started paying attention. Buffet is 19.99 and $3 off with the players card.

Great place. Stayed as I was driving cross country. Rooms were affordable and staff super friendly. Had a service animal with me, no problem at all

Hey I know theses reviews are more of a venting site. But this casino is run so poorly that there are managers that do not respond to customer requests. Drinks were hard to come by and forget about getting some food before 945 pm when the buffet is closed. They wound serve you food.at Bella s if you are in line after 945 pm. They close at 10 pm. Customer service in not much of a big deal

During my move transition from Alabama to Texas I was fortunate enough to stay here.
There was plenty of room for my moving truck and the front desk upgraded my room to a "spa tub" room from my regular room.
It was heaven!
The staff was exceptional - the room was stunning - and I had an amazing nights sleep.

Buffet was was good lots of different foods to chose from. Casino was to smokey to stay longer.

Pretty nice hotel for a great value! My room was nice and there is a shuttle that takes you to the casino.

New worker onstaff, they need more training on the dice table.

They kept taking people through the line up until after 10pm, knowing that they closed at 11pm. The cooks kept telling us they weren't making any more of this or that... it's a buffet with no food options. 30 dollars a piece... they should have serviced the late comers the same way they did the people that came in the middle of the day

The hotel is nice. Rooms are good. Staff is wonderful. Thinks I didn't like. Rooms need a deep cleaning. Mirrors, glass on pictures, headboard, and corners in bathroom floor, and walls. The maid we had was in training, and she was very good worker. I wish they offered more then coffee in the morning. Muffins would be nice. I expected something. But overall I would stay again.

Dinner was really good. Then we went into the casino and it was awesome as well.

I go here often. But last night the dealers kept their tables filthy. Wrappings, empty bottles, dirty ash trays, table had to be wiped on the 3 I attended. Couldn't win for nothing. Of course that's regularly here at this casino for me.

Blues bar and Mr. Sipp hella cool... Buffet is off the chain if you like crab legs n oysters but the rest of the menu is kinda weak. Great to get out the house and the diet coke = no bueno. Dont expect clean floors in the buffet area on a busy weekend, that really bothered my walmart flip flops. I hit nice on penny machines but had to duck n dodge old men, casino employees, gamers, hell elderly women too with their " you IS a tall glass of water" and " blow the dice for me slim"... Like EVERYTIME i fell through the scene. But i really enjoyed the live blues thats whats up..still prefer an Indian reservation in Cali.

Buffet is clean and lovely setting with views of the river. Food is bland, tastless, just not 20.00 worth of fun and slection.
Slots were just as tight as Vegas.. We expect to loose all our money we always do..but in 30 min? Normally takes us an hour to lose 40.00
Hotel is VERY NICE. Clean, tidy sweet staff.
NOTE: They will charge you at the front desk a 9.00 per day fee for the Hotel services. Did not say that anywhere when I booked the room.. But you get 5.00 off for 1 person on the wretched Buffet. Ech. Wont do that again. For the two of us with discount and tip was 39.00. Should have gone to Mc Donalds.

First the hotel is separated from the casino but it has a shutter bus the runs frequently so it was no problem for me, the rooms are nice a cozy, they also have a great gym which I like. The sports book is awesome, the people there are friendly and knowledgeable. The overall casino is big and has alot of slot machines to play. The food in the buffet was ok, the food there was a little cold. The steak house food was awesome I will be back. Bellas was great too with many options and I love the pizza the most.
