All Restaurants Except the bar were closed. And you have to wait 20min in a line just to place the order.The rib was rotten. Disgusting! The chardonnay was heavily thinned with water.

Nothing like it used to be. Used to win..not anymore. Back to Shreveport.

It was awesome. Food was awesome and so was the service. My wife and I came for one last date before I leave for the Navy on the 19th. Had a lot of fun. Didnt win anything but still had a lot of fun.

I made my reservation at least two months in advance. The property was sold in the meantime. When I arrived they would not honor my reservation even though they could see it. They took it out the old reservation and made a new one but shorted me one day. The next morning they made my wife move out while I was in the poker tournament. They told her they had no rooms
Later they changed their minds. But we just left. There is more to this story

Ameristar Casino use to be the best as far as giving you free play money, not any more! Rate them a 10 on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the worst now. Like most Casinos they get you there just for the fun of playing but before you know it you have lost way too much money. Let us win occasionally!

It was fantastic and the staff were super polite and helpful

I recently went back to see their reopening on the 22nd and I will be frank. This casino is not ready and was not ready to reopen. 2/3 of the machines are turned off to create social distancing. There are no operating water fountains and the coffee/soda bar was shut down as well. The parking lots were limited to non-garaged parking only which puts your vehicle at higher risk for theft. They do not permit you to bring in outside drinks. This is plain and simply unfair and no other States practice this abusive nonsense. For 15 minutes the slots were paying and for 1 hour and 45 minutes they were not. I was there for 2 hours in total so if you do the math, you stand no chance to win . I should've assumed the experience would be horrible, before when it was in normal operation it wasn't good. During this covid 19 social distancing mandated by the State, you want to keep on driving right through Vicksburg and do not stop at any casinos. You will pay and you will get nothing(not even drinks) and you will wonder why you did it. I will not waste my time reaching out to the casino staff. If you want to make this right, send me a reimbursement , send me a large amount of free play, but the coupons I receive I have no interest in. I was not a low roller and I'll be back in 2025 if you're lucky. I'm not lucky, I tried to win there and that's just not possible.

Nice place, worth an overnight stop, played a little, had something to eat

It was nice. Not sure it's worth $179 but we booked through Expedia and got it for $85...made it worth it.

My enjoyment was crippled by the fact that it is not a smoke free environment. I had a blast otherwise...

Stayed there with 3 frienday for a couple of hours and we ate buffet 30 dollars a piece and no one offered us a beer or anything!!!! We probably spent 250 amongst us!!!

The food was extremely cold. However, it was also good. The staff was friendly. The managers was very attentive to all the guest. Hubby(who complains about everyone elses) loved the Mac and Cheese... The casino was dated but the small room made it pleasant.

White people aren't welcome here... my wife put over $400 in a machine that was vacant and a black lady came and claimed the machine as her own and refused to let my wife play or cash out her money... after things got worse, the "black" security guards pulled US into their office and asked us to leave while letting the others keep playing and enjoying their night...
"We" got threatened with bodily harm by getting our brains blown out and the black people involved had no repercussions. I've been going there for over 20 years and have never had so much racial tension and favoritism towards the other race. My wife and I was basically ganged up on by both the black customers and the black security employees. I did act in agression towards one of the black males but I was worried about the physical safety of my wife and I.
I'll never walk back in that place and will let everyone I can know how that place works.

The food is always good. We went to the buffet. The workers where very professional. Always there when we needed them. Very clean and quiet environment

Lost my money and I was not happy. They wouldn't even let me take my soft drink with me.

The slots are not very loose I can spend an average of two thousand dollars a week there and I'm lucky if I win two hundred of that back, I have never won any kind of jackpots even a small one, very disappointed

Security at the door was not very friendly or helpful, so didn't stay very long due to that.

The Casino was Great and I liked the shuttle bus to the casino. The Ameristar room I stayed in was good expect the sheets and top cover was nasty with stains on it upon check in and the desk chair was filthy look like it was never cleaned and it was juice or drink spilled in front of the tv very sticky. Manager changed my sheets and also cleaned the tv area and the dirty chair Paid to much money for anything to be dirty. 3rd time staying here and this was the only time I was disappointed in my stay

Not impressed. Service for food very slow my wings were good, husbands Philly Burger was just ok. Gumbo soup a little to spicey.

First Time Visiting AMERISTAR AND ITS WAS FANTASTIC!!...FOOD WAS VERY GOOD!!....I STARTED OUT LOSING ON THE SLOTS BUT I EVENTUALLY WON MY MONEY BACK PLUS MORE!!.....I WILL BE BACK TO VISIT...I LIVE IN SHREVEPORT AND AMERISTAR IS JUST AS GOOD AS ANY CASINO HERE!!..ILL BE BACK SOON!!

No black jack tables at all. very little other table games (1 craps. 1 roulette. 1 baccarat, 1 texas hold em etc) so they were all very crowded. Buffet was $3 more if u weren't a players card holder like $25 isnt high enough. Never saw a cocktail waitress at slot machines

I had good memories in Ameristar and will be back there soon. I also liked the buffet inside the casino.

We were under the impression that the hotel was connected to the casino, however the casino is across the road. Everything seemed nice about the hotel until we laid in the bed. It was extremely lumpy and uncomfortable, which is by and large the biggest part of a hotel stay.

Rich mans boat come here for fun and atmosphere your not going to win money but have alot of fun. Great place to go and not deal with large crowds

This casino has went downhill over the years as far as the hours of the buffet and other eateries. They are either closed during the week like the buffet or they close at 10pm. Slots are much tighter than the coast but the high limit slots usually be on fire during the weekends. It takes hours to get handpays when it's busy. NEVERwaited more than 10 minutes onthe coast. Need more cocktail girls also. Hotel is very nice. They wouldn't accept my prepaid card to pay the 9.99 fee
