I went to Ameristar for a conference. It was a great location. The hotel was beautiful an everyone on the staff was professional. There are several in house restaurants and it minutes from downtown St. Charles and very easy to get to from the airport. The rooms are OK. They were clean but nothing special.

We visited to have dinner at the buffet. It was a busy night so the line took about 30 minutes before we were seated, but being a Friday night that wasn't unexpected. The food was good and our waitress was very nice.

Overpriced casino hotel. Needs more family entertainment. Rooms are good but you would do better going to las vegas. Interesting but lacking dining options that close early. The sportsbar closed at 11pm near the end of NBA playoff games on Friday night.

My boyfriend brought me here for a weekday date night. Our first stop was the buffet. For as long of a line as it was, it went fairly quick and the food was delicious. We then went the pool. I love how the indoor and outdoor pools are connected and you can swim through the building. The hot tubs were nice and extremely relaxing.

But the most memorable part was our room. We got a spa suite on the 25th floor. This room was absolutely breath taking. If I could live here, I would. The pictures do not even do this room justice.

I cannot wait for our next date night!!

This review for the hotel only. 1 night stay, Saturday to Sunday. Check-in starts at 4p, I arrived around 4:15p. Check-in process was quick and easy. Mask measures and social distancing being adhered to. Room was immaculate! Very clean and above par. This brought me great pleasure to see this as I did a thorough examination upon opening my room door. Non-smoking floor, however I did observe a guest not following that rule. Guest were adhering to the 4 person per elevator rule. Check-out at 11a, very simple, just leave your keys in the room and adios.

The room was alright. Housekeeping never came to the room the 3 nights I stayed. The dinner buffet was good and most staff was great. The pool hours have changed and now closes way too early, especially during the weekend. 10pm doesn't leave much time to enjoy the pool/hot tub after finishing dinner at 8:30, then making the long walk back to the room to change before heading to the pool for some drinks. Then you find out the pool bar has closed by the time you get there. Most likely will not be staying here any more, which is upsetting because the group of friends that come here usually end up getting 6+ rooms for the weekend.

It was great. Loved every moment of my stay at the Ameristar Casino. Had the buffet for dinner and it was delicious. The food was perfect and the dessert bar was one of the finest I've ever seen. Can't wait to go back.

Casino: A little outdated, but that might be part of the charm. There is a non smoking room and plenty of tables and machines to choose from. There are bars throughout both levels, as well as soda fountains and a small cafe.

Hotel: Gorgeous suites with great views. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are huge.

Ameristar is amazing. It has everything all in one place. You can gamble, eat at one of the many restaurants or even go to the nightclub for drinks. Everyone there is very friendly and always willing to help. Great place and great people.

I always enjoy coming here for drinks and gaming. Atmosphere is nice and upbeat. Dealers are relatively fun and try to entertain you while you play. Wish they would open up some $5 dollar blackjack tables though. I'd even be willing to pay a 50 cent ante per hand if they did.

I'm sure its due to Covid but its so nice to visit a casino that isn't ridiculously busy. The reduced staff does limit table game availability but the staff is always friendly and accommodating. Slot play offers many options with many of your favorite games scattered throughout the gaming floor. If your looking for a fun and exciting night out I highly recommend it.

It a cool little experiance. Plenty of themed restaurants to keep you coming back. The casino isn't too flashy though. Roulette table is $10 minimum bet so it can end your fun fairly quickly. Don't be fooled by the arcade. Just a large walk in closet with a few rink-a-dink games. I was expecting something impressive after walking in the main entrance.

Buffet place wasn't cheap $25 but well stock and impressive. Worth the money.

They are spitting in the face of Truck Drivers, no longer allowed to park overnight. They only allow you to park if you are staying in the Hotel, eating or gambling... Can't eat, go gamble and stay the night then eat in the morning before leaving because you can't stay the night. They will no longer get any service from me or my family. I will be sure to let friends and family know so we all stay away, time to fire up YouTube and let my 300,000 followers know and ask that they do the same.

We love dining at the Pearl here. Literally the BEST clam chowder EVER! The oysters are typically very fresh (only one exception - on my last visit the oysters didn't "sing" but they were still good). Feeling like a little bit of everything? Get the seafood boil! Yum!

Enjoyed a lovely view of the Missouri River from the 22nd floor in a comfortable king bed. The staff is awesome , helpful and friendly. Love the huge bathroom, sunken living room and sample size bath accessories. Food choices are excellent, highly recommend Falcon Diners french toast;indoor pool and hot tub are a treat for winter warm ups.

Weekday. Was like having my own private Hotel and Casino. Pretty empty. Food was good at the steakhouse (Bugattis). Menu was light on offerings. Signature cocktails with cute names. We enjoyed variety of those. Staff was friendly (not professional waitstaff but you'll forgive them). Hotel was nice. Loved my suite. Nice Size Gym. Spa Services not open late - poo. They host conventions so ask about that.

Go all the time because it's close, try to have fun but at Ameristar I NEVER EVER WIN...8 years I've never won a hand pay jackpot nor have I EEEEEEEVER seen ANYONE getting a handpay. Went today, $300 in 30 min on upstairs 25 cent machines and hit 10 credits 3 times??? I would say Ameristar has the worst payouts but that would imply that there are payouts. This place is awful and it gets tiring just losing EVERY time. If you value your money STAY AWAY!

Here working the registration for a state association's conference. Room is very nice but far away from conference center part of the building. Staff at hotel and conference center are great! Facility very nice for a conference of our association's size except for long walks everywhere. The distance between meeting rooms and hotel rooms was difficult for some of our older members. Really enjoyed the service at the three different restaurants I've eaten at but the serving sizes were very skimpy at the steakhouse for the price.

We have eaten this buffet many times. On this trip it was horrible. We had just gotten there for the dinner buffet but it tasted like the food was leftovers from yesterday. The fresh Asian grill was good.
