Ameristar Casino Resort Spa St. Charles Review

The buffet was amazing. The food organization was neat and the cooks were friendly. I love the dessert bar !

Great hotel experience and plenty to do without leaving the property.

The buffet is delicious. Great selection and I always love to see what specials they have going on. Their Asian stir fry station is awesome. They just got a new ice cream machine too. Makes the creamiest soft serve.

Beautiful rooms, amazing in-door connected out-door pool. Great shops & very clean. Not to mention, the employees are nice, helpful, & care. Very opposite of the Wisconsin casinos. Our casinos, like Mole Lake, don't hold even a match, more less a candle to this casino.

Went here for a pool party. Knew the DJ. Nice place for a pool party. Cover charge a little bit much!

Stunningly beautiful lobby, well appointed rooms with a sunken living Room. Great variety of machines and good pay outs. This is a winner!

Didn't get to go in because my friends ID was scratched.

I was there for a business event and the hotel and service was professional and accommodating. I was not an overnight guest but have seen the rooms previously and are quite nice depending on the area.

Best casino in the state of Missouri. The slots pay out far more often than other casinos. The environment is great. Staff is awesome. It's a good place to have a night or weekend of fun. We'll be back.

Best place around to turn my money into someone elses. That aside, it's always a good time and a great place to meet up with friends. The hotel is nice and the food is always great.

Awesome place to spend the weekend. Food is great everywhere. Wait is a tad long sometimes but always worth it. Pool and hot tub are great. Everything is very clean and well kept

Rude staff yuk hotel rooms and they do not make you feel welcomed

Conference area layout was nice. Would be better to have an entrance to that area without having to walk the interior shopping and pass the casino.

Very nice people, generally, half price of all-you-can-eat great buffet every Wednesday. Their company is somehow changed; you have until end of June to cash-in the old style chips; if you got 'em, cash them in before they're useless. Otherwise, no issues, other that they have a few live tables. Free inside parking too!

Great looking Casino but wow is it Smokey. I forgot what a really smokey place was like. Blah.

Clean facilities with well run restaurants with awesome food choices. Staff is great and really care about what they do.

Conference center is not well kept. 2 sinks were out of service in the ladies bathroom for over a day. Even worse, one sink was filled with brown water/sludge and was disgusting. At a hotel/resort as large as this, there's really no excuse for that. Something I expect to see at a motel 6, not a space hats trying to cater to a professional class.

I mostly went when I was in college-which was a little over 10 years ago now- but the place still remains wonderful! I love the feeling of Vegas and the staff is nice while the place is kept very clean I highly recommend Ameristar Casino.

Ameristar ,. the indoor cigarette smoke..... ....just way too much..,...you need an extremely large pull out exhaust fan ...other than that your atmosphere is clean the gaming is great..the food is wonderful.... and the entertainment is excellent...... I would definitely visit again... 2017

I was very disappointed to find out that our wedding suite reservation was canceled. This was after we had called and came to the hotel to make sure everything was set weeks ahead. Their response to the mistake was inadequate but we were stuck. Customer service really needs to be focus for management.

The casino has lots of workers pushing in chairs at slot machines, but never wiping the machines off. Very dirty machines, sticky, ashes just plain nasty.

We love Ameristar!! We went date night!! Learned a new game tonight we will be going back! Down side the smoke in there and we both have headaches and smell like a ash tray. But really fun!!

Usually it great but our room was FILTHY and cost 340.00 per night. The room was just disgusting. Ive been staying here for years. I love the Buffet, Blues bar, Pool parties and all the amenities but unfortunately I'll have to switch to Rivercity or Hollywood.

Always fun. Well kept. Good games. Unfortunately all table games are $10 or $15 min in weekends.

Went to the bar before going in. Was a bit of a wait to get any service. Wasn't terrible though. Long enough of a wait however to lose a star. Sko blues

It was awesome! They were very hospitable and catered to every need we could of asked for. 10/10 would gamble again.

Forgot the Saint Charles is not practicing social distancing so I felt a little bit uncomfortable in the casino

Clean but the smell of smoke is very prominent. There is a non smoking section. Did very good the first time we went. Second time not so much. That's why it's called gambling

It sucks. I was supposed to have a couple of free slot bonuses, but due to a computer problem or something, it wasn't available. I was told that it would be available tomorrow. Well, this place isn't just around the corner. You would think that with the water fall of money that they have coming in, they could have a decent computer system.

I have wone all 3 times going here. I play table games.

It was a real bad weather night there that they were expecting so all of the restaurants were closed, but the the big circle bartenders stepped up and gave me fruit and olives to eat which sure hit the spot. The ladies were outstanding to tell you the truth.

Dealers are friendly, helped me to learn a new game. I WON!

The casino was fine. Went to the buffet stood there forever apparently they didn't open until 4pm. It was 315 9 ppl who worked there looked at us never said a word just ignored us. Asked some one on casino floor to find out they were closed until 4pm. Got back in line at 4 only for some folks to jump the rope barriers to be first in line after we were directed to walk around . They were waited on first! Not worth the 26.95!

First time in this Casino had been told to make it on my list when in St.Louis and I was glad I did
THE entrance driving up automatically puts you in another world with all the glitter and the indoor restaurant's and bar's with different venues allow you opportunity to do other things to take a respite from gambling
BUT THE GAMES THEY HAVE ARE PLENTY AND THEY DO LET YOU WIN

Buffett is good, people not friendly at all. They just sold property and no I mlm provements yet.

So, where to begin came across this casino as we where traveling through the town since it was a casino we thought it be easy to just stop and play and have some drinks, we arrived to where the semi parking is located and. Realized they don t even have a vehicle service for truckers, my partner is handicap and have never been disrespected so horribly not just by the staff after spending more than $400 at this location we realized that after they promised they would send a car to help take us back, to our truck but they had refused to do what was promised so. Not only where they rude, lack customer service. But it took them more than expected to have them send a car, we ended up paying a taxi guy after the long Wait. I have called several times to let them know what I was told. We where Rudely told to oh well!! Your just going to have to walk! After they new their was a handicap individual with us!! Never again will I stop to this location after all that!! I mean horrible !!

Hotel lobby/check-in sparse and employees not welcoming. Room had a light out, TV unplugged, and an unknown substance splattered on bathroom doors. Won't stay at hotel again. Spa employees were great, and area clean. Would visit that area again.

I am casino people, so I won't give a bad rating based on winning or losing. Like any casino there are winning and losing days. The buffet is pretty good and the atmosphere is like any casino. Loud and bright. It is not my casino of choice because there is one closer to me but we are in St. Charles we go here for a change. There is a nice trendy bar on the casino floor. It also features all the newest slots as well as your older favorites, located upstairs. Check it out, you will have fun.

I like its atmosphere i just never win. One of these days i guess.

The atmosphere was ok. Didn't like the slots or their new tier system. I hadn't been there in about five years and I don't think I'll go back. The service was very good all the employees were very helpful and friendly.

We ate at the Falcon Diner. The food was good... could be a bit better but still good. We also went out on the gambling floor and had a great time there.

The hotel is the best in town compared to the other casinos. Trust me on that because I have stayed in them all. Don't believe me, you will once you stay in them all for a night.

My husband treated me to a hot rock massage in the Ara spa, and it was heavenly! I also got to use Ara Splash, and I felt rejuvenated after that. The staff was amazing, and we will be back!

I had a wonderful time. Really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. It was outstanding. Everyone was so friendly !!!

I was there for a fundraising dinner for a local charity, United Services. We were in the conference center ballroom. What a great venue and the food was spectacular.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Landmark Buffet during All You Can Eat Crab Legs! I go every year. Never dissatisfied with the food. The servers are never friendly, though. They definitely make you feel like more of a bother than a valued guest (I have been a server for 13 years).

Beautiful environment and enjoyable casino games, nice restaurants and shows.

I goto several casinos throughout the year in different states and our Ameristar ranks right up there with your more elegant and lavish establishments. Once again trust yo boy I'm telling you what I know.

I felt the hotel rooms were quick well kept and clean. I appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the service was exceptional. I felt at home

I enjoy going to this casino. I visit on an infrequent basis, but on the locations that I do visit, I always have a good time. Sometimes I just go to meet with friends at the sports bar for food and drinks and to watch the games displayed on their many TV screens. The wait staff is always ready to provide great service to meet our needs individually and as a group. On the times that I choose to visit the casino, the service people are friendly and helpful and I usually never have a problem to report.

I love to go an have a good time they have good restaurants and I love the pool area all though I stay in the jacuzzi most of the time

Can't stay in the $241 room that I paid for due to a cancelation error on their end. No refund given either.

If I could give it 0 I would. I had booked a room for one night here. Through their website you book a room through other outsource booking agencies. Paid $241 for a room for one night. Called to confirm my room for the night. Somehow it got canceled through one of the booking agencies they use. The Ameristar spa employee told me it was canceled and that I had no room booked and that I was not able to be given a refund because it was non refundable. I asked her if they can give me another room and she said I need to call the booking agency they use and go through them. I asked her if there was anyway they could do something considering it is THEIR hotel. She said no and continued to tell me I need to call an out source booking agency in order to talk about a room I booked and had paid for. Funny how you can't call Ameristar Spa and Resort and get information on your hotel room at Ameristar Spa and Resort....

The staff at the American Ameristar Casino is always nice courteous and respectful the rooms are always clean and smell good and the all-around experience is always enjoyed

Beautiful place and wonderful service. They were there for everything. Our room was perfect in size and amenities.

Very nice, however the beautiful tub had NO plug to stop the water?
Refrigerator did not get cold? The ice machine had NO ice the entire stay

Casino was top of the line. The hotel was even nicer than pictured. Hotel and casino staff were great. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

The facilities were good for the conference. The service was good. The lunch served tasted good, but was cold.

We had lunch at the buffet. All the food was very good, from the soup and salad to the onion rings, sweet and sour chicken and Roasted turkey. My only regret was that I was too full to try the fantastic looking desserts.

A good variety of food, good atmosphere, hot gourmet dishes. A good place to have a celebration! I could tell my son liked it too

I have had better brisket, but the cauliflower, dessert and crab rangoon were great.

I won't be back. No smoking upstairs. I get the no smoking section. But the WHOLE 2nd floor. The smoking floor was horrible crowded and too Smokey. Horrible night won't bee back. And this was my FAVORITE casino.

This place is awsome, if you wanna have a weekend get away or just go to one of the great restaurants they have inside. Complimentary valet parking for anyone, arcade, hundreds of slots in the casino tables from $10 on up to high roller, great service by the girls.

Our room had an awesome pool side view. The staff was incredibly nice and goes above and beyond to make sure your needs have been met. The room was spacious, clean, and high end. I loved it so much I plan to visit again in the future.

I've never seen so many poor dealers in a game of holdem in my life. I seen a dealer put a flop out when no one had any Cards yet. Then I seen a dealer give a man all in button and then another man call and the dealer folded the man's hand that he gave the allin button to. Dealers can't even get the blinds right . Another dealer made a player expose cards that he didnt have to. It just keep getting worse and worse. I understand people make mistakes but if you can even gather the blinds without messing up then you have no reason being a dealer.

Not only are the slots winners, so is the food in the sports room restaurant. Especially the football shaped dessert.

The people who gave wristbands for the pool and hot tub could point out the best way to get there. Just a suggestion. Plus I heard the outdoor hot tub has been down for a while. I love outdoor tubs especially at night. Other than that very friendly quick service everywhere.
