American Palace Hotel Review

It should be a 2 star hotel. I guess they gave him the category many years ago. The reception staff affirms that all the bathrooms are the same, that is; old, with fabric curtains that do not stop the water, very unsanitary.
The hotel in general is old in its entirety.
Pretty good dinner if you go early. One hour before closing, the trays were empty and not replenished. After 10pm they DO NOT have an open bar.
The reception staff as well as the politicians.
Contradictory information from each other and they try to treat you like an idiot if you are claiming something.
There were friendly but few staff.
I would not go back. it's more; I would not have come if I had read the comments ... ALL NEGATIVE COMMENTS KE I READ ARE TRUE.

Nice price, kind service, with everything very clean and organized and tasty breakfast. I recommend.

Very nice hotel, near the Laurentina station. Friendly staff. I highly recommend it.

This hotel is far away from the city center but it is attractive since rates are quite affortable..Overall it is a decent selection, with good breakfast..In the negatives I will mention the old fashioned decoration and the fact that our room was quite small..

I had booked a double, they gave me a mini-room with a double sofa bed.

On the website they state that the metro station (laurentina) is only 50 meters from the hotel, while in reality it is 450 meters away.
On the site they advertise the internal car park, which is actually present but only has about twenty parking spaces, compared to a declared allocation of 164 rooms.
I think it's enough to give you an idea.

Business stay: hotel renovated internally, rooms renovated and maintained, very clean. Average breakfast, nothing is missing but nothing exceptional. I also had dinner last night in the restaurant: I had a really good grilled fillet cooked very well with baked potatoes and finally strudel, overall a good dinner, without pretense. The area is essentially populated by day, while in the evening I do not recommend going out if alone as in my case. Very convenient to the metro B laurentina stop.

Modern rooms, efficient climate control. Breakfast not up to par: in a 4-star hotel you can't have the automatic coffee machine.

Rooms too small and dirty, grumpy staff and bad food, the only good thing is the proximity to the subway.

Pretty good. Quite a way from the city but an easy train ride. Staff are OK. Rooms are small and noisy but that's the par in Italy, you won't be spending any time in the hotel. Recommended for the price.

Unfortunately, this hotel was pure envy for our family. Except well-furnished rooms was unfortunately nothing more. The sound insulation between rooms is totally missing. You hear everything that happens in the room, as if no wall exists. Rooms are very bad cleared, very superficial, floor was not washed with us. Service in the "restaurant" did not impress us. Waiter just ignored us. I do not know why this hotel with the booking good review. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Overpriced. Breakfast was not fresh, room not liked. If planed to visit the main attractions is 20 min away from centre Rome

It is part of a well-known chain. Excellent new quality price ratio. But of the chain I prefer the Shangri la which is very close.

All in all a nice and clean room. Unfortunately too loud. Go away in the corridor with cackles. Doors that were closed loudly creating a sort of earthquake. Sleepless night.

In August we were in this hotel, friendly staff, good breakfast, but beware of PLO TICE, which we brought home.

Nice hotel especially the rooms on the 5th floor. Big and with a TV at least 40 inches. The comfortable restaurant but with a limited choice on the other hand the price is good.

Tired old hotel that's overdue a refit. Small noisy rooms with poor sound isolation. I hear the traffic outside, the noise from the meeting rooms below and the chatter of the staff in the corridor every morning. The bathrooms are out of date and decaying, and there's distempered paint peeling from the walls next to my bed (pictured). The cafeteria catering is poor and the whole place seems designed for tour groups who have no choice and will never come back.

UPDATE: I left early because my room was flooded when I woke up, but that was after getting back to the hotel to find the cleaners had left the room unlocked and open for the second time. My experience was clearly not unusual ( a colleague staying at the same time was covered in bed bugs bites when he woke up) as the staff are weary and unsympathetic when told about each issue.

Very nice place, but the 'only thing I did not like much is the service. Apart from that, everything is fantastic

Excellent hotel in all respects. Easy to reach by car. What is not to be underestimated is that it is just a few meters from the Laurentina metro, so you can safely leave your car.

One can no longer criticize the life of others in the room ahead, and as if that were not enough I banged my head every day when I woke up in my room because the ceiling was very close to my face. I do not recommend fugitive critics, passive smokers and Albanians.

We had an excellent welcome in this hotel, in an enviable location, now completely renovated, with style.

Nice rooms, nice bathrooms, comfortable mattresses.

The restaurant has an excellent buffet for breakfast, very rich, including gluten-free products.

The esteemed Chef, was able to organize an excellent dinner (gluten-free) on the occasion of a loved one's birthday, with great style, excellent teamwork of all the front desk staff with the Le Vele restaurant in the hotel, all away mail.

I also found professionalism and courtesy.

I confess, I'm sorry to only give two stars.
I would like to start with the positive aspects: the guys at the reception always kind, the waiters available (more or less).
I would conclude with the things that I think are perfectible: high expectations for dinner service despite booking, breakfast of dubious quality (especially the sweets), very small standard double room, no fan in the bathroom, I received a call at 11 pm from the management for to know what I had eaten for dinner about an hour before (luckily I was not already sleeping), very expensive parking if I think of similar hotels.
In short, I hope not to have exaggerated and I wish the managers of the facility a big good luck in achieving higher standards.

Far from the center, although the metro is close. Old and dirty, small rooms, in the bathroom two people could not enter, the shower curtain had fungus. Bad breakfasts, if something is finished they take a long time to replace, that's when they do.
It is not a four-star hotel at all, it has nothing to do with the photos. To make matters worse, what at first I thought were mosquito bites, turned out to be bed bugs, they devastated me, I'm still under medical treatment.
Hotel to forget. I give it a star because I can't give it a zero.

Hi, I was staying at this hotel for 4 days, saying that the service of the restaurant is the worst I've ever known, the waiters at dinner (it did not have a badge but what they told me at reception was called Mohamed ) I had 1 hour waiting for me to attend and finally I left without dinner, I made a claim at the reception but I think it was left on wet paper for not being there (that is, being a foreigner).
I do not recommend this place at all.

A really great hotel. Location is good as it is near the metro station and it is a terminus, so space is guaranteed. The bedrooms are very spacious and have a king size bed. The hotel was refurbished not long ago. It's clean and the breakfast is very good. I recommend this establishment without hesitation.

More of a three star than four star. Rooms decent, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was decent value. Location was well connected to the Metro. friendly staff. Good value.

Worst hotel ever!! I was sharing the room with my two friends and we got a small room with one bed...... after couple of hours trying to figure out where to sleep we found out that the two seats in the little living room were like detachable beds. Of course they didnt even bother to get the beds ready for us. The first morning we were there we went to have breakfast and our purses were stolen from inside of the hotel right next to us( we had our passport,money,cameras, phones, because the safe from the room wasnt working) because the hotel restaurant has an entrance from the ,back that leads to the street and anyone can come in and out without passing through the front desk. The reaction from the staff was completely indifferent, they couldnt care less. We had to go to the police and file the report by ourselves, they didnt call the police or anything. Security sucks ....there's no security for tourist!

I would say that the hotel's rooms are very nice. But on the initial move in day, we had to relocate to another room because their air conditioner couldn't work hence being further from other family members which was inconvenient. The food during our breakfast was excellent but there are certainly some areas of improvements available in the catering department.

The only problem was the card to enter the room which was constantly demagnetizing so you had to go through the reception and change it but it wasn't a big problem.

Tiny and dirty rooms. The plaster comes off the doors. We had the balcony without the French window to go out and the only external window was open and broken, and anyone on the first floor could have entered. The only good things were the breakfast and the proximity to the metro. Very beautiful image that gives, but does not respect.

Very nice and spacious rooms and bathroom and impeccable cleanliness. Staff typically polite. The food at dinner is immobile for the Greek tastes and the small portions. The breakfast had a great variety but only the cakes were delicious. Coffee very good but the cups small. Accommodation location away from the sights and the historic center.

We stayed for one evening during a concert at the Palazzetto dello Sport nearby. The hotel is in a great location because it is very close to the metro terminal (Tiburtina), making it easy to reach the most tourist areas of the city. The hotel is very welcoming, the receptionists were very helpful and the breakfast was plentiful and diverse. Highly recommended!

Without restaurant. Around not even. Quarter ugly. No mini bar in the room. Clean. Expensive for non-services.

I stayed for 4 nights in the "double suite". I must say that the room, although not very large, partially met my needs. Not very kind that, arrived at midnight, and the bar closed, not even the mini-bar in the room has been replenished ...... the price is decidedly exaggerated for a suite that in the end is very similar to a classic double.

Even if it is more a 3 star than a 4, it still has an excellent quality / price ratio.
My bathroom lost a little water and unfortunately I also found a cockroach in the room otherwise I would have given it a higher score.
