American Palace Hotel Review

RUN THE OTHER WAY!!!! Stayed there on May 26th... found 3 bed bugs in one room, crawling out from behind the headboard of the bed. We were moved to a new, smaller, room where we found a dead bed bug on the night stand. The hotel's "solution" was to call other local hotels & let us stay there for the night.- too bad they were all booked, or so they said. We were left no option but to sleep in the lobby of the hotel... yes the LOBBY, 2 people on a couch!!! Location is 30 min cab ride from the trevvi fountain, not awful, however good luck getting back. On our way back, we were turned down by 4 cab drivers as they claimed the hotel was "too far away". I REPEAT DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT STAYING AT THIS HOTEL!!!

Newly renovated hotel with parking and restaurant, in the room available mimi fridge and coffee maker with 3 pods available. Highly qualified staff and nice breakfast for a little time to review quite continental but something is missing

Perhaps the 4 stars does not deserve them all, but the price / quality ratio seems to me to be excellent. Then it's right in front of the Metro Laurentina

Very nice hotel. Quirky but nice night porter. Not very modern but clean and well-kept.

It's a very old facility. The water from the shower at night didn't go away, so the floor in the room was hot and the bags were all wet. Still, the price wasn't bad (although it's a little far from downtown) I liked the atmosphere The lobby is also pretty

Finally a decent hotel in Rome, the rooms clean, the staff very kind and helpful, I don't give them my best because they have to solve the parking problem, which is unclear, and the breakfast, which would need more staff, especially in this postcovid period .

Dated hotel, not adequate to the stars it claims to have. The entire room, including the bathroom, it was tiny.

A 4-star hotel with a bidet with pubic hair or vagina on it cannot be seen ... Overall decent even if the structure is old but the cleaning comes first of all and here there is no cleaning of the rooms, for the not mine!

Opposite the metro (16 minutes from the Colosseum), in a very good area, a good and relatively rich buffet breakfast, courteous staff though some seemingly pretentious, aged and this looks intense, apart from towel changing every day and linen every 2-3 days, wiping dusting dusting is something unfamiliar in the rooms. In my opinion it is not worth it to be called 4 stars, maybe once.

I liked everything very much and immediately five strong stars from me . I only saw advantages . Staff very friendly, competent, patient and helpful . Rooms are large and very clean , interesting, elegant furnishings , parking lot unfortunately too small but ok, great location = 10 minutes walk to the subway (first station, always free spaces). Breakfast not particularly impressive, but delicious , coffee tastes good ... absolutely recommendable ....

Tired old hotel that deserves a refit. Tiny rooms in poor condition, noisy from the road and from the public areas, low food standards in the restaurant all make this an unpleasant stay.

Completely renovated today it is modern and attractive. However, the previous architecture has left some inadequate spaces in the corridors and with small elevators. Acoustic insulation in the medium, that is, low, the rooms on the last floor can be affected by too much proximity to the noise-generating A / C group. I find it very inconvenient that today the restaurant is no longer accessible to individual guests for dinner, a problem because the area at night is uninhabited and far from other rooms. Grumpy staff, small and outdated rooms charge higher prices than the web, in the morning at 8 they start the vacuum cleaner and wake up the rooms. The only advantage is the price.

Nice hotel, we booked with booking and spent about 90 / head for 4 days (double room) plus 24 tourist tax. Rooms a little old, especially as far as the bathrooms are concerned, but very kind staff and a big breakfast!

The location is very good, 10 minutes walk from the metro and many bus lines.
on the other hand the district is quite empty, it is not necessary to think to eat the evening spent 22h.
The rooms are really small, the service of the staff is according to the person you find.
Breakfast is hearty but in 3 days you will taste everything and in the end for a French, Italian pastries is not great.

Although the structure is very comfortable, I would never return to this hotel which instead of welcoming and relaxing its customers imposes, in the common areas and in a continuous cycle, the vision of the Newscast. The rooms are equipped with TV where the customer has the freedom to watch the channels of his liking. This choice definitely smacks of imposition and lacks respect for the freedom of choice of its guests.

I spent two nights at the hotel and I can say that it has good communication with the center of Rome, the area is nice, but the staff (receptionists) seems totally disinterested in helping the guests.

Excellent quality-price relation. A few steps away there is the metro so you can leave your car in the reserved parking area

It is a great international hotel. The room was perfect, the key is a card, the huge flat-screen TV, the large bathroom with modern and comfortable shower. Breakfast can be sweet or savory with plenty of choice. The only drawback is the air conditioning too strong in summer, but in the room it can be turned off.

We had a stay here last night in room 106 and left the hotel in the morning for our flight. Oh my god! My husband and I have bed bug bites on our bodies!!! I had read about this issue at the hotel but did not think much of it until this!! I can't believe it and now I'm hoping none of the bed bugs got into our luggage and also that we can treat so many of these bed bug bites...what a terrible end to our trip..

I'm not sure how the hotel management is handling this and I was still ok with the hotel overall, it's decent If you're looking for a place to stay but it is NOT a 4 star that's for sure! Do not stay here!

It is a hotel only to sleep, the rooms are tiny, old, the bathroom has a lack of repair, it is moldy and rude and you cannot move, the windows with those blinds that do not close and you still have a bad smell and the cleaning of dust. Let's not even a sad water heater for the nights that now it is cold and we feel like the truth is that we are disappointed and another thing we took it close to the center hahaha 25m by subway to get there that is another good thing if it helps them It reminds me a lot on the outside of a hotel from the 60s ... that if the STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND VERY ATTENTIVE, to see the breakfast as it will be, but it could improve a lot since it does not seem anywhere near a 4 I leave it at 3 and for the staff

Non-soundproof rooms, customers smoking in non-smoking rooms and smoke that is heard in neighboring rooms. Very nice staff. So-so restaurant and breakfast.

Does not live up to a 4 star. Correct room, no bar at night for an aperitif.
