Fun experience! Every one was exceptionally kind and friendly. I was quite taken with the pleasantly eased and friendly environment. I have no complaints. The student who helped me was gentle, sweet, and key to making my experience so enjoyable as she patiently answered every question I had and adapted to my modified decisions as we went on. She did so with fluent efficiency and a cheerful smile, seemingly unfazed by my indecision. I'm generally on edge in such places but the process couldn't have been easier.

Staff was friendly and they did a great job on nails and hair for my daughters birthday party! Thank you

What happened to this place? It use to be good but there are either lack of instructors or just bad instructors. Horribly blotchy dye job, ended up looking like a neon zebra.

Have been going to this salon for a while now. Like 5+ years because everyone I get as a stylist is so wonderful. I leave super happy with my hair. There was only once when I happened to dislike the way on of the girls cut my hair and they allowed me to come back in free of charge for it to be fixed. Plus this place has the lowest costs ever! Making an appointment soon.

All the students here are very talented. The Instructors over see every step of each service. It is a very fun & professional environment.

The administration at this school absolutely sucks. There are some teachers that are really good but it might as well be ran by kindergarteners. They dont know what they are doing and seem to just be there for a check to take home. Would not recommend going to school here.

Everyone is so sweet and gentle. Absolutely darling! Constantly telling me what they're doing, and asking me what I would prefer. They got me in within a few hours notice, and got it perfectly. I loved this salon, and I don't know if I'm ever leaving it!

Seriously best school, instructors, and students there are to offer. I would recommend this school to anyone! If you want the best service there is to offer, definitely go here!

I've gotten my hair cut here for awhile now and I really like this place. I've tried some different men's styles, sometimes short and sometimes a longer cut, and they've done great every time. It is students cutting your hair, but they all do a good job and the instructors always check up on us. Like any service oriented business, don't be afraid to speak up and say what you'd like. They seem eager to make sure you're happy with your look before you leave. I know I'm definitely not going anywhere else for hair cuts. It's a great price, great service, and I've never been disappointed.

Went to get a cut and color and could not have had a better experience! Angela was thorough and patient with me and my questions. We went from dark brown to light ash blonde and she never got discouraged! Would definitely come back!

This is my favorite place to get a haircut and today I came in to get 4 inches off. Sam did my haircut and she was so nice, gentle, and did such an amazing job. All these workers are amazing at their job.

Was not impressed !Had a facial they said it would take 1 1/2 hours, done in 35 minutes. And paid more than I would at other colleges. I will go back to MATC.

I went to a different beauty school before I came to American Beauty Academy in Payson Utah. I honestly can say that the school I attended at before ABA was a total disappointment. If your going to go to beauty school, I highly recommend American Beauty Academy. It's the best school to go to. They treat everyone the same, and its not only just a school. Its home. I couldn't be more impressed by how well the teachers at ABA taught me. I feel so educated! When a new client comes in, I feel confident, because my teachers taught me everything I know. I love American Beauty Academy, and I know everyone else who wants to do hair will to!! One more thing that I LOVE about ABA, is how organized and clean it is. It makes working on clients alot easier when you know where everything is. School at ABA is so amazing when you have the best teachers and staff out there! Don't start beauty school without checking out ABA!

It's a good place and good price considering its students they do a pretty good job. I go in quite often and the experience is always different.

I brought my mother here to get her hair done. I had never been here, but it's close to her home. The girls here are amazing. We were 15 minutes late, but they still got us right in. Her stylist payed very close attention to what she wanted and is making magic happen. Will definitely come again if I'm in town.

I love American Beauty Academy. Everyone is friendly and the students are fantastic. I get my hair colored there and they do such a great job that people think its my natural color. The cuts are awesome. The students are supervised so I have never walked out of there with a bad cut. I highly recommend them!

The school has great students and you should ask Karsyn to do anything you need. She is a very professional and will do her best every time you come in.

This salon was a awesome. The staff was so friendly and very accommodating. The stylist did an amazing job and was so patient with my 2 year old.

I go to serenity and I absolutely love her! The other girls are also very friendly and fun to be around. I also love when you aren t satisified they will fix for you. Such a great, fun, loving place!!

I love this School!! As an almost graduate, I have to say I've found myself, thanks to the environment and education! I've found many friends that I will take with me throughout my life! The education is top notch by far! Small school gives excellent one on one time with instructors and clients! I love the environment of being able to be open about questions and concerns! they have your best interest in mind 24/7! Chey did my nails. I wanted Disney themed, and she did a great job. She was super friendly and really nice about all my requests.

I attended American Beauty Academy for a year and graduated. There was a lot of communication problems, instructor issues, and we were misguided. I started working at a salon and my technique I learned from school is not what it s supposed to be. Every cosmetologist that I have talked to has seen my technique and said it is wrong or not efficient. I definitely would look into different schools. Not mad at all just very very disappointed.

So, 2 weeks ago, I decided to get my daughter and my nails done for her homecoming dance (NOT here), and for the first time for her and my first time in 20 years (before she was born), as I served in the Army and I just recently retired, so this was SUPPOSED to be a momentous experience for us...Long story short, the place I had my nails done did an okay job at first, but my first nail lifted on the side after only 3 days, fell off after 5 days, and my daughters had already all fallen off at this point. SO, I decided I needed to do some research and find a nail tech worth their weight in salt. I called around to literally dozens of salons and asked for referrals. I also looked up Google reviews on all of the local salons near me (Payson). After LOTS of phone calls at the beginning of this week, the soonest appointment I was able to make at a decently reviewed salon was today (Saturday) at 9 am, here, so I booked it. I waited all week (and all of my nails popped off by yesterday) to just get a nail fixed, only to end up needing a full set by this morning. I woke up early to make sure I was ready for my appointment and was literally getting ready to head out the door the poor girl at the front desk (who got to hear me whine - I m sorry!) called and CANCELED MY APPOINTMENT! The girl that was supposed to do my nails (Shy) didn t even give me a 30 minute notice when they CALLED AND CONFIRMED YESTERDAY!!
Needless to say, my family s day started really early for absolutely nothing, I waited all week for just a nail to be fixed and ended up needing a full set by yesterday, and then hours more of phone calls and frustrations after to try to find SOMEONE to help keep my natural nails from being ripped off- yeah, sorry not sorry, but when you cancel on customers in the future, just please keep in mind that we have lives, too. Time is precious for us, too. If you think we should give you a days notice to cancel, you should have the professional courtesy to do the same should you need to cancel, not wait until moments before someone is walking out the door.

I'm very picky about my haircuts and there are only a few places I get it done. I decided to give them a shot and it turned out great. Thanks!

I don't have anything but good things to say about ABA. Love, love this place. The students do an excellent job, and the instructors are wonderful. I haven't gone anywhere else to have my hair done for over six years now.

The service was great. All of the people were nice and friendly. My stylist Amanda took the time to make sure I got exactly what I wanted, even though the appointment went into her lunch hour.
