Professional doctors ,especially in the hepatology department.

The best place for treat tumours or any sickness with the profesionality of the dutch people... absolutelly recomended.

They saved my life. Unfortunately we still have to go there often, but we are not complaining about that. After all, it still works !!!!!!!

I would like to give my compliments to the staff who helped me on Sunday 8 July. When, after an action on my part, I tried to dislocate a steel door with my head, my head was of the opinion that this was not such a sloppy action. Result a cut of about 5 cm on my already not so hairy head. Within 5 minutes my colleague and I were in urgent need and after about 15 minutes and two baking coffee my head was a few hairs (sutures) richer. My compliments for the action of the emergency personnel. Maybe I was lucky that it was quiet, but still.

It is a shame that employees there are laughing and having such a good time while I have to wait 2.5 hours in total to then sit in a booth again and again have to wait 40 minutes because a doctor said .......... .. a moment please ..... and there is more and more laughter ....
So our health insurance premium goes there .....
Bunch of good-for-nothing ......
And you still have to buy a ticket at the theater ...

Several times been in the hospital. What always stands out and that also in different departments, is the staff. They are always lovely people, caring and also very skilled. I can only say be very careful as the management.

Oncologie arts Velden is met pensioen nu een andere gekregen moest echt wennen.
Tot ik paar maanden echt niet meer had zo erg die pijnen. Toen kwam de klik voor mij.
Heb hier ook zuurstoftherapie gedaan.

We experience the amc as a very nice hospital. Despite the size of the hospital, you are not treated as a number but as an individual. The (pediatric) doctors are empathetic and very involved with their patient. They are accessible, easily accessible and knowledgeable.
The nurses, the people in the OR, recovery, etc. have also been very nice to our daughter.
The Emmakinder hospital is very modern. It's great to see how everyone is committed to providing the children with distraction during their stay in the hospital!
The only downside is that the outpatient clinic feels like a time travel to the 1980s.

The medical staff is excellent. Good treatments. Everyone is nice and very involved. Only the bali staff is exceptionally unsympathetic. As far as I am concerned, they may use a training in manners and etiquettes ....

For years been a patient with Doctor M. Schreuder. She is a fantastic doctor. Both very human and precise and accurate. I will miss her very much

Building radiates in everything that it is outdated. The cracks are in the walls and the floor from the outside, but also from the inside.

I experience this as a nice hospital, great, sense of space when you are there. You've got to love it. Parking well arranged and easily accessible

Visitor and patient for years and very satisfied with all aspects of the AMC. The waiting times are sometimes a bit long, but you will get to hear this in advance. (..and where is that not the case ?!)

Has many amenities and is first rate Hospital. It's also a training Hospital.

This is a city beautiful like unique, they have the bike rides everywhere in the city , amazing architecture in the entire city then you have Rembrandt and Van gogh Museum , Heiniken first fattory and alot of things to do and place to visit in day and night.. The people from Amsterdam overall the Dutch people are tall and hadnsome persons that are really nice sense of civility they are sweet to visitors and make you feel nice. Can find food almost for every specially you want easy and can visit the coffe shops where you can choose and smoke any weed you want , but no drinks . To enjoy a nice drink in Amsterdam you can go to one of the numbers Bar in the city where you can Enjoy a fine Dutch beer or a tipical Safary drink or any you want.

The entrance if you're parking is terrible. Fortunately, this was made good by the hospitable and professional reception at the Day Center. Fine and involved nurses who do their work with passion. For me no Bergman Clinic or other similar centers.

Thursday y.l. we (my wife and I were at the A.M.C poli for some examinations, when they were done we went to the brand new coffee shop and took a 2 sausage rolls and 2 cappuccinos
instead of being crispy, the sausage rolls were soft and chewy at the first bite there was a sour smell and a terrible onion taste, in short, spoiled junk, the cappuccinos were made from a little automatic coffee with a dirty greasy sludge layer on top, which is nothing to do with steamed milk in a CARDBOARD CUP!
and for that the price of 11.50 Euro was asked, never again and we will not fail to inform family friends and acquaintances about this scam shop because that is it.
Also the stupid putting together of the benches, so that someone in a wheelchair can only sit on the outside is shocking, the staff too.

Terribly deteriorated! This is really no longer an AMC! And now in collaboration with the VU because most patients prefer to go to VU. And how can a large hospital use steel wheelchairs ??? Patients with paralysis or bedsores are simply unlucky and have to go into such a wheelchair with so much pain without any protection or soft support! And the well-known neurologists are unfortunately no longer employed at the AMC. Now only youngsters who have a completely different image. Very unfortunate, but now I understand that between 2014 and 2017, 46% of patients prefer to go to another hospital. And the complaints department doesn't work for a meter! So dear department, please don't comment about my assessment

Ik ben chirurg daar ik doe voornamelijk hart operatie's. Ze hebben een groot labaratorium en de dokters nemen de tijd voor je, het eten is niet zoo lekker maar wel gezond over eten gesproken ik vind sommige soepen ook niet lekker maar het is hardstikker gezond. verder is het een goed ziekenhuis met veel jonge en oude doktoren.

Vriendelijk personeel op alle afdelingen, overzichtelijk mooi de nieuwe ingang en de eet gelegenheden zijn prima . Mijn ervaringen mer het zorg personeel zijn alleen op de afdeling oogheelkunde en die zijn prima.

I have nothing but good experiences here! Although it is a hospital for doctors in training, you are treated well and kindly as a patient. Competent and professional staff.

Not a good experience.staff with uncoordinated information and almost impossible to make appointments.Information from reception desk in the fertility department is terrible.Half baked information you always have to call them to know what step and if you are lucky, the person at the desk will give you proper information.NOT HAPPY!!!

Good hospital, sweet and kind staff. Patient, sometimes the communication between patient and department or between departments is messy. The food is not tasty, I only take the soup and bread, good for the line

After a severe Covid-19 infection (which has been treated well for 4 weeks in the ICU), I spent two weeks in the lung diseases department. What struck me is that you are left to your own initiatives to more or less 'enforce' rehabilitation treatment. If you do not do this, you will remain there for fourteen days because the insurer apparently does not pay money to the hospital when you leave earlier.
My question to start a rehabilitation process at Reade as soon as possible was answered that there was a waiting list. After 14 days of AMC I was able to go to Reade and it turned out: there was no waiting list at all and there never was one.
There is therefore no question of good, open and honest communication. I was subsequently contacted about two follow-up appointments to monitor the course of the disease. A call appointment and a visit to the AMC. The first call appointment was never answered. Shortly before the visit, this was also converted into a telephone appointment to which you guessed it never responded. This hospital is seriously lacking in care ......

Beautiful building inside people are very helpful and has a very large interior with all kinds of stores including AH TO GO

Easily accessible and plenty of parking. Indoors there are shops and restaurants. Free WiFi is reasonably fast.

Gigantic, it is a city in itself with restaurants and shops and of course a hospital.
You therefore have to walk quite a bit. Parking is not free and not really cheap. Parking garage is big enough, you can always park your car.

Bad communication. What would take two hours, from 12 to 2, turned out to be a whole day when registering, from 12 to 7. The hospital knew that in advance, but apparently they don't feel it necessary to inform the patient about this.

Furthermore, it was considered necessary for the person who picks up the patient to be present at the registration. During the registration process, the person's telephone number must be noted. Really something that should happen in person ...

Soon I will go to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription, that will take an hour, according to the nurse. Nice too. If it is shorter than that one star (you cannot give 0 stars) may still be earned.

I am always helped so well, kindly and personally. I also find the aftercare really excellent.

It looks like a city that hospital. I like that they have different entertainments also inside that resting part of hall. It is very important hospital for all around Holland.

Great university hospital. Well organized and with professionals who are always recycling.
Many doctors are also researchers, which for me is very important.

Hospitals are awful on the whole because they deal with ill people which is sad per definition. AMC was a good experience with in that picture; one deals with humans at reception on all departments, a personal touch in a huge eco system of misery, efficient ( in my case) and all in all, a good experience!

Recorded and treated by students my own age, later I heard from other hospitals that I have done a bicycle test when that is not the case.

Definitely not the best; inexperienced staff specially the nurses and ICU staff.

Amazing and thoughtful. Had a very scary thing happen to me, and every single person helped me here. No only did they make me feel at ease, but treated me and didn't overcharge.

Outside there is a lot of green attack on the stones, almost fallen, life threateningly hopefully that will be resolved quickly

It's a very big hospital. It has the best doctors and facilities. Nice and friendly nurses. They do have some problems with their new ict system and patient care suffers in the process.

Good hospital where you are not a number but a person. The doctors take the time for you instead of a ten minute conversation.

Here after an emergency admission on 12 February operated on a Brainsteste. Without major residual symptoms came out (against expectations). Top treated by the Staff and the Neurosurgeon doctor Buis.

Many lies between doctor and patient and especially family of patient. Agreements are made and promised, but one day later it turns out to be a made-up story again. About medication and patient become much lied. I have finally recorded the interview and can present it to my lawyers as proof. I understand that it is not proof in the court case. But a good clarification is expected between me and the lawyer. A very nasty game by the doctors who constantly lie and lie. And I notice this much more at the AMC than other hospitals. Expect the mid-December 2012 in the newspapers.

Very pleasant experiences in this hospital. At the least pleasant moments - when you are sick and worried, unsure of what is going to happen - all employees you meet are friendly and helpful.
The outpatient hematology will receive an extra compliment. There they always go a step further in terms of compassion, empathy and friendliness.

Staff very helpful and work hard provide good care. But the automation of appointments can really be much better, we have been there for 7 years now at least once a month, the appointment is never 40 minutes 90 minutes waiting here is normal.

Amateurish Medical Center. They cannot separate facts and fiction.

Good hospital with the usual organizational problems you expect from a hospital. The specialist care is very good.

Good equipment and attention if you are lucky enough to get an appointment in a timely manner.
I've been receiving a treatment for a scar in the Dermatology area, it was going pretty well until it became imposible to get a new appointment. I called on January and I'm going to be received (hopefully) on August! 8 MONTHS waiting on pain, all the improvement I was having after a full year of painful sessions of cortisone and laser went backwards.

AMC Teaching Hospital, this hospital is located in Holendrecht, Amsterdam Souteast.it is close to the station.

AMC Academic Medical Center is an Academic Hospital and medical faculty in Amsterdam,affiliated with the university of Amsterdam. Went to visit few patient there and walked few other places with friends. It is a great place and is a well equipped hospital.
