On Saturday, an MRI had, that is now also possible at weekends. There is a new MRI, slightly wider than the 'old' was before. The nicest thing was, however, that I was not in the familiar tunnel without thinking about it (something that I always suffered from in an MRI while I do not have claustrophobia) but that I watched a movie with zen moments that caused the whole tunnel vision disappeared. The panda that almost fell out of a tree I found great although I then wondered what would happen if I had moved if I had laughed (yet still suffer from a runaway thought). It is still not my favorite research but it's pretty good. As well as the ample opportunity for scheduling the appointment (also in the weekend when no contrast is required) and of course the technician was also very nice, but I liked the panda.
University Hospital is huge, comprehensive and comfortable.
Very well arranged modern hospital good staff in every area the soup kitchen may be a bit cheaper for me or the range may be more extensive ps the soup kitchen is an external company. I was in the children's department h7
Here you will find
Walking on different clinics is always well helped. Doctors are easily accessible. Also located twice in the emergency room with the addison crisis was immediately treated correctly. Hospital in Alkmaar can still learn from this. In such a life-threatening situation, a hydrocortisone drip is immediately popped into you. The radiation also had here as well as brain surgery and adrenal removal. All went well. I am also very happy with the online medical file. Only not with the parking rate. Sometimes I only have to hand in for blood or blood samples. And immediately lost 3 euros. Pay a lot in gasoline money so understand that the first three hours is 3 euros cheap in Amsterdam. But to take a blood sample and go home. Hhw it will be an expensive joke
Good hospital! Was kindly helped at the desk. Unfortunately expensive parking spaces? But yes, every hospital has expensive parking spaces
Very professional staff at the VU medical center. I have been helped very well and I always have a lot of admiration and respect for the nursing staff. I always find driving there difficult given the crowds at that point, but otherwise nothing more than praise.
From the surgeon to the coffee lady, all equally caring and friendly. Can people learn something from outside the hospital?
I was assisted by a dbs operation with knowledge by prof munckhof I am impressed with his knowledge and skills. also for the aftercare and thanks to the angels of the h5 and h6 department.
A well-functioning hospital with enough parking options. Only the hospital would do well to have a Google maps map made of the infrastructure inside the building. Because really it is a big maze and you get lost there if you are not familiar there
One of the best Hospitals in The Netherlands. There is no where I would rather go when needed.
Have been here several times for a long time and have always been treated extremely professionally and friendly by the doctors and nursing staff and the ladies and gentlemen of the food and cleaning. the only downside is that if you are in a larger room, I think they should better match the diversity of people.
Currently my nephew is being treated for a rare condition. I have full confidence that the cause will be found by the doctors and staff. I want to thank you all for your great and efficient care of my little guy and his parents.
The Absolute Best - the-Late Prof. Dr. Jeop M.A. Lange literally saved my life - I am working on a book MH17 and Romanian Project in memory of he, Jacqueline and my former Colleagues - Thank You Dr. Wit and Hans-Erik for your care and Understanding especially with Mr. Niculescu!
My mother was 2 years back operated on her stomach was not even brought under narcosis but it was only said you get a local anesthetic.
The worst thing was the doctor who was contacted as the professor of the hospital and who always indicated not paying attention to the amount of anesthesia that my mother HAS EVERYTHING FACED and even when she always responded during cutting and the nurse said to the doctor "Next thing I feel something" and the PROFESSOR just said "go ahead" !! Well sorry, but this is heavily unprofessional unfortunately she told me too late otherwise I would have asked where he got his diploma
My mother was never afraid of an operation blood tests or other tests she turned her hand not to but now she has since this time a kind of fear formed thereby what I really annoying for her and heavily unnecessary if there is a little attention and attention to the patients is being watched here!
For a very nice place to work, that may also be said!
In December 2018 I was referred to the AMC in Amsterdam. Initially orthopedic but this referred me to rheumatology. Rheumatologist Dr. Klarenbeek and his team have helped me tremendously. I turned out to have infections of the mucous membrane of the knee. eventually I was operated on February 24, 2019 on my left knee, where much tissue was removed. Am now rehabilitating. Everyone in the AMC that I had to deal with was equally nice and helpful. I also explained very clearly what was going on. An additional plus is the ability to view your own file at home. Of course you would rather not go to the hospital, but if you still have to, the AMC is not that bad!
Not a good experience. Poor communication. Insufficient insight and not listening well.
I have had blood punctured here. The big advantage is that it can be done all day every day. The disadvantage is that they just can't puncture me. One colleague after another comes to try. I thought it was up to me, but the Atal ladies at my health center often manage it all at once.
my father had a brain infarction after which he was transported to the AMC by ambulance. he was well caught and they were quick to remove the gag so that father did not suffer injury. then he was in ICU for 3 days and they monitored him carefully and kept a close eye on everything. what I liked was that we were informed and kept up-to-date with every little thing.
Pleasant people at the goods reception from the pharmacy.
Old and big, but well organized hospital. It's possible to make an appointment for vaccinations before traveling at a reasonable price if not included in your health insurance. They also provide a vaccination passport. All other specialist care I've had to deal with was also good; emergency, urology. I also value that they read their reviews and react to them, means they care.
This review is about the Rheumatology department. Dr. Kuiper. Very compassionate and proactive. Fantastic and expertly assisted when needed. In short, top doctor! The reception rheumatology is also very friendly. I'm very satisfied.
Particularly good treatment and guidance Dept. Urology and Radiology. Powerful team around patients
Patience, empathy, professional .
Excellent hospital, very caring for the patient.
Got a new hip, was very nervous for the back prick but both the anesesist who stayed at the operation and the anesesist who put the ruge prick were very nice and told exactly what would happen.
Doctor Blom and staff have provided me with excellent information and certainly not unimportant they listen to what your complaints are.
Personnel in the department of orthopedics were knowledgeable and had all the time for you and that while they were very busy.
Physio tells you exactly what you are allowed to do and especially what you are not allowed to do and that is how you feel good with units.
All in all a very satisfied patient.
We are from Germany and my daughter and I were 1 week in the Children's Hospital of the AMC.I must say that the German hospitals on the other hand are garbage.Very dear great staff. All super clean and very child-friendly ... Hygiene is written there gross. .. A big thank you to the super nice social worker, Prof. Benninga and Dr. De Jong .... and Sister Tinka and her colleagues.
We felt very welcome and would always go the long way there again.
The German hospitals should set an example on how to make the stay of children more pleasant.
Thank you, thank you, danke.
The AMC neglects its duty of care by rejecting a referral with the excuse: "In your case, we think that you can get equally good care closer to your place of residence", which is EASILY not the case.
So now I have had to move to another hospital and I am forced to travel 3 hours between my time and my necessary care.
Friendly people in general. Although the waiting times at the ER/SEH can be long.
Just back from the AMC, before I went to see my friend, I called to know if he was in the same room when I went, but he was told he was in the surgery room, they do not want me any information give him I think this is so bad I did not get the advice to first call the contact person before I traveled all the way. The staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful.
weed every day i smoke weed every day i love it there thank you very much
Friendly people, handy internet site where you can view all your data. AMC is just a city in itself with all the shops in it
Very poor communication, insider trading without listening to me and other experts. Have judgment already ready! Hardly research and little time.
Everything is pretty well organized in the children's department, I think. But now that I'm with the adults; terrible! Food is not tasty and expensive in the restaurants downstairs. Doctors make you wait a long time for stopping by or operating in this hospital I really feel like a number !!!
Our son was treated at this hospital after he had an unfortunate accident with his hand. The operation went smooth, and we were delighted by the highest level of professionalism and attentiveness of the staff. Everyone we spoke to made us feel very welcome, and although we had to constantly switch between languages it was never a problem, and all the formalities were taken care of efficiently. Although a trip to a hospital is almost never something to look forward to, we could not be happier about the experience we had at AMC. Thank you!
It is very good there. they do their very best there. they should just get a reward for their hard work. this was (Jillian Samadja Limmen Ama)
3 years ago I had a brain haemorrhage. I ended up at the AMC neurosurgery. Until today I am eternally grateful to doctors and nurses. Only 1x bad experience with a (gay) nurse who constantly ridiculed patients. It was in the morning, I was not feeling well and indicated that I was going to skip breakfast. I heard him say in the distance "Well she can be happy that we offer her a normal breakfast, in Africa she probably only had rice porridge". He told another (Asian) patient, "I don't understand anything he says, no. 52 with a white list." I didn't say anything but that should not be tolerated.
