This is such a beautiful resort right on Sentosa Island in Singapore. The room was absolutely gorgeous, big and the big reveal was the bathroom and lounge area which is outdoors, right in front of the pool, just WOW. The service was impeccable and everything went really smoothly.
We spent 3D2N in the poolside villa. Great experience. Service is good, though we didn't really require much of it.
Getting in and out via the free shuttle bus is convenient, and the resort has a direct path to Palawan beach.
The villa itself looks a little old, and could use a fresh coat of paint. The pool isn't very well lit at night, which is a bummer too.
It's a beautiful hotel on Sentosa Island. It has such a relaxing tranquil vibe to the whole place that is just incredible. Loved the complimentary ethnic drinks and snacks at the lobby and the breakfast buffet was fabulous. The room is clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. Really enjoyed the visit

My 2 nights staycation was not as restful as I would have liked. The couple suite seems to have a leak somewhere, as there was always the sound of water constantly dripping. It does not originate rom the bathroom or toilet, and could be heard from the bedroom area. Complaining to housekeeping did not resolve the issue. Either they did not look into it, or they were unable to resolve it. Either way, there was no follow-up done.
Also, the peacocks that range around the resort were pretty noisy. They were honking?/bellowing? loudly as early as 6am all the way till 9am+.
In addition, the outdoor bathtub that looked so wonderful in the photos felt dusty and had some black stuff in it. I ended up not using it since I had no wish to spend my staycation doing cleaning.
All in all, definitely not value for money. Have had a much better experience at the other hotels on Sentosa.

The room (villa 1) was a bit dirty and the tv at the living room was unable to connect to wifi.
We stayed in villa 1 all we heard for 4 out of the 7 nights was the cats fighting.

Nice environment with a cool garden. One can see animals such as peacocks sometimes. The location itself can be not as accessible where a shuttle bus is the best way to get there.

Some issues were some furniture are super worn out, mini bar is totally not chilling stuff, the birds starts "chatting" early in the morning.
Good service, limited food option but good quality. Pool was to small rooms great size and nice view, but a bit worn. One great advantage, it is quiet and peaceful.

An awesome place to stay at. We stayed at thre verandah. The balcony is a nice place to chill, living room space is big. Toilet with amazing bathtub. The hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. Buggy services to and fro room. Excellent place to stay at. Only setback, its a far distance to siloso.
Very nice hotel, even for a weekend staycation. The pool right behind the room is also relatively private.

Hotel ballroom foyer and ballroom itself very pretty but service not there. Personally, the weekend wedding lunch aren't that delicious for this upscale hotel quality. Was disappointed through my two times experiences.
Location quite far. No shelter thru out the pathway.

- Took 1.5 hours to check in but at least we have a waiting area for us to sit.
- Called room service for a bucket of ice at least 5 times but eventually the ice didn't come at all.
- Nobody is answering the calls which is very bad for a 4 stars hotel like this.
- Called for buggy ride to head out which we waited for 20mins aimlessly until the house-keeping person helped us to call again.
- Don't think I will ever stay this hotel again! Terrible experience..

we had to wait an hour an half before our room was ready at 4.30, No compensation offered. Bathroom was not clean, there was a fridge in the room with a note on it saying it wasn't used to keep things cold, even though there was an expectation you were to pay for the cans of drinks kept in there. Desk staff were unable to answer our question regarding the fridge, they would look into it, still waiting.
The Thanying restaurant waiter ignored my order, didn't want to take my drink order then forgot to bring our drinks all together. Waiter was unable to answer a question about one of the dishes on the menu, food was ordinary and over priced.
The Amara is well located within Sentosa, being a first time visitor and asking staff for some direction on what is where they were unable to answer, the only information they were able to give is a bus comes by the door every 30 minutes and just had to wait. What we found out by our selves was everything was within walking distance and only 20 minute to walk to anywhere.

Went to visit Shutters for Christmas Eve Dinner. Quite empty for an Eve of Public Holiday. Service was good. Food was okay. I guess with the number of guests eating there they can't do too much otherwise it will be too wasteful.
A nice enough property but the standard rooms are certainly not 5 star rooms nor are the surrounding areas. The Verandah suites are tired and set in a old style colonial building. The service is very good and the staff go out of their way to help you. It is also in a very good location to walk to the beach and to access Universal Studios. It is good for families wanting to get out of the city of Singapore.
I was here to celebration my anniversary with my boyfriend. We had a private jacuzzi at our room and we enjoyed it ! The only hiccup was the decorations that the hotel promised us but forgot to do. There is a shuttle bus from vivocity to the hotel and also about 15mins walk to RWS. Definitely will be back when I need a break!
Peacocks run wild in the courtyards and the staff is so attentive and patient. Wonderful work folks. Beautiful suites set in old colonial buildings surrounded by jungle.
Went there for wedding and the management did not set up the tables as agreed and the location does not have any shelter in case when it rains. Disappointed.
tropical boutique style sanctuary close to downtown Singapore with a shuttle service to Harbour Centre and MRT station. Perfect for an extended stay when in buzzling Singapore. TV reception imterrupted and pixelated at times.

The security is very strict regarding number of guests. So even if you book a villa that can house 20 guests, you would only be able to bring in 4 at a time.
Good service, great ambience and location. Room is well furnished and has great views of the sea. Only gripe is that room check-in took way longer than 3pm,but were compensated with later checkout
Opulent looking place but infrastructure seems to be aging badly. Our air conditioning rattled loudly, the TV looked to be 10 years old with terrible interface. Beds and bathrooms were fine. Shuttle service is limited.

Good location; close to everything in sentosa island, a shuttle bus every 30 minutes that goes to vivocity mall where you can grab a metro or a bus to anywhere.
Only comment is they gave me a twin beds while i asked for a king size bed, secondly the airport limo was extremely expensive comparing to grab, almost 8 times more.
First day was already disappointed 2nd day was very upsad. Trying to fill up the bathtub and sadly not even 1/4 full . Water running became cold. Fine..... Proceed to the bathroom to bathe, water was cold too. I will nv visit amara again. Service standards are poor , housekeepin isnt good. Even the heater gives way. Argh....

The area is well maintained and staff are professional. Ballroom is grand and the other side of the building contains the restaurants, villas and hotel rooms. Outdoor area can have quite a number of mosquito.
Old hotel that is constantly being updated to it's got modern facilities and services in a quaint environment. It feels very close-to-nature, and is on Singapore's 'Island Playground' of Sentosa.
Well worth a nice, relaxing stay to be pampered and still be close to the waters that surround the Country of Singapore
Stayed there 3 times for staycations ! The 1 bedroom villa very comfy and relaxing. Although the bedroom hut air conditioning is not that great, tends to be a lot warmer than the other tv hut.
Fantastic experience. Smooth check in and check out. Staff is polite and courteous and the restaurant is good too. Peacocks and peahens roaming around on this old colonial estate give it a nice charm for a relaxing getaway.
Wonderful hotel with great service. Lunch reception was delightful and tasty.
