Amangiri was fantastic! I've never been to another Aman before, but I've been to a few other luxury resorts around the world and I can say Amangiri was the most unique and was among the most enjoyable.

The architecture and the environment were fantastic; the rooms and buildings were designed to blend into the environment.

The food was great as well. The menus always had some items that used local ingredients and had local Navajo food, which I think is a nice touch since Amangiri really went out of their way to help visitors appreciate the local area.

The highlight of my stay was the activities; there were so many to choose from, even ruling out hot air balloons and water stuff due to winter.
Via Ferreta, hikes, helicopter rides; there was just so much to enjoy. Via Ferreta was my favorite, which is like a mix between rock climbing and just normal hiking.

Views were amazing, service was good (effort was there but the organization was a bit so-so, but that's just me being picky).

I do not know much about spas but I fell asleep during my massage which is a good thing?

Only other thing I'll say is that during winter, unless you really enjoy skinny dipping the pools suites just aren't worth it; it's too cold to go outside to relax and enjoy the views.

Great views, good excursions with rock climbing. But one of the days , we booked a canyon tour then a half day boat ride on Lake Powell. One our canyon tour the guide took some great pictures of us and was going to send us the pics. After a day, we inquired why we havent gotten them. Hotel staff stated he "updated his phone and lost all pictures " . Never has that happened on any updates in my life. Second, he drops us off for the boat excursion we booked thru aman. We were stranded there for half hour not knowing where to go, companies on dock telling us we are not booked with them. Im sorry but if the hotel arranges your excursions with their vendors, they should not leave us STRANDED in a place we are unfamiliar with. We called the hotel and told then to figure it out quick, after then a captain of the boat comes and meets us. He was great. Finally the spa. The spa has a great ambience. I had a facial and they stated they dont do extractions. After requesting, aesthetician did some but not the full face. How do you give an "oxygen facial" without opening and clearing pores to get all the nutrients into the skin. I think this is a overhyped resort in terms of service. I trust the review below about service. The local guid reviews seem fake and paid for. They may have all this publicity with celebs showing up, but guess what Aman, most of your other guests are worth more than them and worth taking care of them too.

Once you get past the front gate the awe of the location begins to reveal itself, ever building, until the resort itself appears. The service, food, accommodations and setting are second to none. It is crazy expensive and it is worth every penny. A special shout out to the GM that more than exceeded our expectations when an unusual issue came up. The freely available fleet of BMWs let you explore the Canyons and the Bend by yourself or go with one of their amazing guides. Find the time/money and find out how much you actually get for your $$$, it s worth it.

After a rather disastrous stay at Amanwella, we were slightly apprehensive before we arrived. Well, the whole place was beautiful. Our room was airy and well maintained. Service was top-notched, but occasionally fell short by the pool if there were more guests lounging around. Food was excellent as well. The spa was ok and the massage was not particularly fantastic. Overall, greet experience and redeemed the Aman brand.

We were passing by this place on the way from Utah to Arizona and stopped because we wanted to see if we could eat dinner at this hotel. The reception was incredibly rude to us and didn't even let us in passed the gate. They hung up on us two times for no reason and made us feel like we weren't good enough for the place. We are two architects from Montreal and we would of loved to see the architecture of this place, what a disapointment.

Wow! That about sums up our 4 days in heaven, at one of the worlds most exclusive resorts. The standouts were the amazing views, chef farm to table food, and 5 star spa! This place does not disappoint.

Great place to stay! Very good service. Amazing swimming pool and activities. At $2,000 per night, if the rooms are outside your budget, you might like to try Liberty Vacation Rentals just a mile or so down the highway. I know the owner and it's also a great place, not as new tho.

It is an Aman resort located in the desert of the United States. It feels like you're in a Bond movie hideout.
In particular, the starry sky at night was a breathtaking beauty.
There are plenty of tours that you can apply from your desk. In horse riding, cowboys take the lead in strolling through the Amangiri grounds.
A private tour guided by a Native American guide will take you through three tours: Antelope Canyon, Snake Canyon and Owl Canyon.

Hotel in a surprising and wonderful city which one finds the true calm. Every room has a dream view, the staff are nice and very polite, but sometimes a bit professional.
We will stay there again

Excellent service, food, housekeeping, and overall quality. Amangiri offers beautiful scenery and an escape from the loud everyday life. This was our second time visiting, and I highly recommend this resort, or any other Aman properties. Kyle was an excellent rock climbing and off road guide.

Magical

Great hotel with courteous staff!
The pool area is awesome and I really enjoyed lying there and reading!
The view from the rooms is unbeatable and it is worth taking a boat tour over Lake Powell, which is offered by the hotel!

June 2016, 2 year trip to America. Last time we ran over Route 66, this time a trip around the Grand Circle. I am staying at Amangiri on the way. The room rate of the All-Comps will be included. Going from PAGE but wandering on the way to the entrance.
Check in I joined because I was invited to the trail soon. You will be guided by the description of the plants that are naturally growing, things that were on the ocean floor a long time ago, and terrain like WAVE. Was funny.
Mojito using SAGE is also good. I can usually order iced coffee.
At night the air conditioning is intense and dinner is served poolside with a view of a rock similar to Horseshoe Bend. It is good no matter what you ask.
I got an extra bed for men because they don't like each other's double beds, but they were surprisingly comfortable!
I rent a dawn car. There is no charge. It is BMW's hybrid i8. I reciprocated to PAGE, but I feel good! With this car you will be able to go around the ground circle in no time without getting tired!
Take lunch before check out. There is a buffet board, I do this enough. A friend orders a hamburger from the menu. The buns are sweet and moist, and the patties are thick and medium rare. Awesome!
I had PET water to commemorate, but it was Sedona's water when I looked closely!
Two days like a dream, come again someday!

The setting is incredible and very excluded from anywhere else. We drove from Vegas and it was very far from the main highway so it's amazingly private. The hotel rooms and neat and the hotel is great. It's very peaceful and quiet, the staff were amazing and always ready to help. The food was very good and unique too . It's a great place to just relax, take it easy and do some sight seeing. The fitness centre is pretty big and it's great. It's really an amazing experience. I went with family and some family friends so we had lots of fun, but it's also a really romantic setting so it's good for couples too.

We've stayed here several times and love it. If you like high profile places this isn't for you. This is a high end resort for those who have the cash to really get away. Everything is perfect. The staff is the best and the food is.... Wow!

In these Covid times, we decided to come to Amangiri and we were so glad that we did. Safe distancing and all other norms were strictly followed. The resort exalts peace, tranquility and solitude in the most majestic way. Service is More

This resort is a real gem and the perfect place to spend a special occasion. The staff is super friendly. This resort is expensive, but you get 100% relaxation. You have lots of hiking options, you can drive 20 minutes and spend a day in Lake Powell. They also organize some tours. Note, they have very few rooms, so plan ahead.

Came away a little disappointed. Here was our families experience from a 2 night stay (1-5 with 5 being best):

Value: 2.5 - 3
Accommodations: 4 - 4.5
Staff & service: 4.5 - 5
Culinary: 2.5
Breakfast: 4+
Lunch: 3.5
Dinner: 3 (Presentation: 5)
Variety: none (daily menus unchanged)

After paying $3,000/night we didn't appreciate being nickel & dimed for virtually everything else (wine starts at $18/glass (short pour...75%), cocktails at $20-$50+, spa treatments $350-$1,800, virtually all tours/excursions are extra, cheaper to buy your clothes than have them laundered, etc.

Keep in mind that you'll be charged 18% forced gratuity over and above your room rate. We wondered how much of this $500/night went to the staff vs. an undisclosed additional room charge?

Overall we had a good experience, would give them a 3.5, and after this experience would not return to Amangiri and would be skeptical about staying at another Aman resort.

The Amangiri was in my bucket list of the hotel I wanted to go since the opening. Located in a private estate of 600 acres the location is exceptional! The room and service are exceptional. Beautiful decoration in the room and if you can it s lovely to have room with a pol and an observation deck.

Don t miss the excursions in the Antelop canyon with the hotel they give you access to two private canyons . Rent yourself a boat on lake Powell in one third of the price.

The only dark spots their no real large nice and cosy lounge space you enter the reception and you are already in the restaurant.

Talking of the restaurant the food is super disappointing and it s a full board ! All produced should be locally grown and with more vegan choice. The food it s too complicated and blend ! My friend had to send back he s eggs every morning and one morning I step out of my vegan diet for the pancakes and it took me the whole day to digest because it was so heavy !

The spa is too dark and not cosy you don t feel like staying at all and the massage was average ....

But the location, the pool and the view are exceptional!

This hotel is beautifully embedded into the desert and fits perfectly into the landscape. I really enjoyed the architecture and the feeling of beeing comfortably shielded from the public. Meals were very delicious.

Amazing place! No expense spared. Quiet, Remote and right across the street from the lake. Doesn't get much better than here. Nothing but the best!! Take your time n chill; You every seen a triple rainbow? Don't miss out

The view from the room was very good, and the hares and squirrels came in front of me and I was healed. I was thin because it was a desert, but the rabbits were good!
When I talked about things I left behind, the staff kindly raised me and I was surprised!

My now wife and I came here together to get married/elope on 11/17/13 and the experience was surreal. The natural and built views were absolutely stunning, the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating, especially for our big day. The food was delicious, especially the stone dinner, and they will accommodate whatever requests and desires you may have. After our wedding dinner in a beautiful private room we were greeted to surprise candles, chocolate strawberries, flowers and flower petals throughout our room. In addition, complimentary BMW's are available for use for 4 hours anytime available. In the colder months all dining is included in your resort stay fees. Although pricey for the average person, our stay here was worth every penny and so much more. We will definitely be returning for future anniversaries.

From our room, the desert view was breathtaking. We stayed there with our 11 months old baby. They even brought us the crib, baby bath rope and baby sandals. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were very good. Service was good.

It's as good as you would expect. Beautiful, insane with the details, the service is so great but not pretentious. Maybe the best spa service I've ever had? It's a hike to get here but worth the effort. It makes other luxury hotels pale in comparison. If picking between this and Amangani for a splurge pick this one.

What can I say! If you are looking for secluded luxury then this place is it. This place lived up to the hype and then some. Everything about Amangiri was healing. The spirit of the land let you know it was okay to release. Nature will humble you then heal you. I can't thank this place enough for helping me recalibrating my spirit, replenish my mental energy and allowing me to clear my mind. The rooms were like a private oasis. As a solo traveler, the staff was always warm and inviting in their greeting and honestly never made me feel as though I was there alone, however they were never overbearing. Although the hotel itself is a hike and a half to get too, Amangiri offers quite a lot of activites in the surrounding areas. Not to mention a complimentary vehicle if you want to take on the local sights yourself (book it fast). Even as families with small kids enjoyed the common areas (pools) you never felt as though you were on a Disney cruise. There was always enough room everywhere for everyone. The food was amazing. The spa treatments were great. Every corner or the hotel is picturesque. This truly is a hidden gem and I look forward to coming back.

Easy access to Horse Shoe Bend and Antelope Canyon. A nice hotel that can not be expressed in words. Words can't describe. Amazing location equipped with hi-tech gadget inside. Close to Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. It is better to have a rental car. The meal served was better than last time when I went for the second time.

The rooms and living quarters are simply immaculate but this much would be expected due to the ridiculous price tag. Complete with a luxury pool and spa if you want, this an amazing place to stay. Of course it is for a certain type of person. It is about as minimalist as it gets and the waiters sometimes feel like a swarm of wasp constantly asking whether you would like for water or something. 5000000% recommend to anyone willing to throw some cash away.

After seeing many people visit Amangiri, we decided we had to come visit the resort ourselves. It was absolutely amazing! The view, aesthetic, food and service, all were the best. The staff were very professional & friendly and guided us with all our needs. It was very relaxing and a great getaway from everything going on!

Amangiri has completely redefined my definition of a luxury hotel. From whichever approach you take, you drive through vast expanses of nothingness, turn down a derelict dirt track, arrive at an imposing metal gate, and are invited to drive through, at 20mph (and with trepidation) until a rather austere-looking concrete oasis appears from nowhere. The staff are already waiting to wave you in with a lemonade and cold towel while others discreetly whisk your bags away into your room and park your car. The architecture and design is minimal and beautiful but functional with immense attention to detail at every turn, from the uniquely contoured pool to the flush panels in the rooms that obscure the banal instruments of modern life (tv, fridge etc). The food is simple but healthy; typically we would select our protein for the grill and a selection of vegetables on the side - a welcome respite from the try-hard haute cuisine failures you would expect from 5* hotels. Bring someone special to experience this special place with.

It doesn't get better than Aman attention to detail luxury, amazing food, 3:1 staff to guests. Just 34 suites, breathtaking canyons and hiking trails and lots of exciting activities. It's worth every penny

Luxury and American perfection. Fantastic surprise in the middle of the Grand Canyon. To repeat and enjoy its rooms, views, landscapes, restaurants, gastronomy and of course its spectacular Spa.

Stayed there for 4 days - the service at Amangiri was everything we expected and more. The staff is very professional and at the same time friendly. Arriving to Page airport we were greeted and escorted to the hotel , the ride was very smooth and our driver gave us some info about the area. The staff greeted us upon arrival, the check-in experience was flawless.
The common areas are very well maintained, every time we saw a staff member they said hello and smiled. The staff we interacted most with knew our preferences by heart, exchanged useful small talk about their experience in the area and the experiences we were interested in.
Living in New York City, getting over the top food elsewhere is always a challenge. This place had superb food.
The spa facility and services we used were great. The adventures we booked were fun and informative.
As an interior designer myself with a degree in design and a second degree in hospitality management, I can say this place offers the best of both. The architecture and attention to interior details is amazing.

I planned this trip to celebrate my birthday and it is definitely a memorable one. Amangiri is definitely on my list to visit again. It was worth every penny spent... time to work hard again and plan the next trip
