Spent 3 nights here while traveling for work. Staff was incredibly friendly and the room was spotless. 10/10 would stay again.

Excellent boutique hotel with great staff and one of the best continental breakfasts I've ever had.
Stay here for 1 night. Overall great service. They utilize text so you can text the front desk for anything. Their pet fee is $50 and includes these goodies during the stay. They also have happy hour and gave us 2 drinks each guest. One complaint I had was the TV not working. Other than that, superb hotel stay.
It's clean. Location is ok.It's less expensive than surrounding hotels. But the decor is really modern-5 years. Not my taste.
We just checked in, and have a room with two queen size beds. The room is way too small for almost 4 adults, we are 3 adults and a close to adult child. Too expensive for room size, however clean. Looking forward to the breakfast in the morning, and hope it is as expected.
Great downtown location, nice rooms with minimalist interiors, friendly service.
Great hotel in a great location! Very friendly staff, very nice rooms with fast internet access. Really enjoyed my stay!
Lovely hotel; Prime location, great staff and reasonably priced.
Fantastic hotel, located downtown, very friendly staff and always willing to help. A great detail: they have a free bar for customers from 17 to 19. For putting a but, breakfast is very basic (of course it is free ..). I would go back without hesitation on my next visit to Chicago
The service at the kinzie was excellent, always making sure we were taken care of and had something to do in the city. Rooms are clean and we'll kept. Would stay here again.
Clean, modern, plenty of power outlets, nice bathrooms
I stayed here with my wife and young child for two nights this past May and thought the place was great when we entered. We got in late because we had just made a 12-hour trip from Virginia and I dropped off my car with the valet. Check-in was smooth and we were glad that the room was clean and nice when we arrived. We enjoyed the central location of the hotel as we explored the city. It wasn't until check-out that the Kinzie wasn't as great as we had hoped.
On the morning of the day we checked out, we got our bill and it was about $120 more than I expected. We hadn't ordered room service or movies or anything like that, so I examined the bill to discover that parking was $60/day. That was the first I had heard of the prices for parking. I complained to the front desk who assured me that a manager would call me back. I never got the call. I did, however, notice that the parking stub did have prices indicated on it, which pricing was conveniently covered by the thumb of the valet upon arrival. I also noticed that the parking prices were indicated at the entrance in opaque lettering to the side of the entrance, such that you wouldn't notice them unless you were really looking for them. So, yes, they do indicate pricing, but nobody is going to notice it unless you are looking very closely. Someone should have told us of the pricing before we received our bill. I don't like being surprised when I receive a bill and I don't like it when staff fails to return a call. Either way, I wouldn't recommend that people stay here, especially considering the fact that they may even charge you if you don't park the car (as read from another review), which seems to indicate that Kinzie is playing some kind of hide-the-ball game with parking.
This is really one of the nicest hotel that we visited in Chicago. The bed was so COMFORTABLE. The services was unbelievably great. They have happy hour between 5-7pm but only with beer and wine, and no hard liquor. Which was kind of a bomber. But there is a restaurant right next door to the Kinzie Hotel that has a bar. The only thing that we did not like was the free breakfast. No meat was on the selection table. They only offer orange juice, water, coffee, tea, and milk too drink. No hot chocolate, cranberry juice, or apple juice. But you can't win them all.
This hotel's staff and quality of stay is superb. I would give it a grade A for it's quality and location. 2 minor things lacking in the room we have was another chair and a microwave.
Clean, friendly
Loved the breakfast buffet and free drink tokens for happy hour!
I used a groupon to snag this room and it was a fantastic deal.
Really great service. Was greeted politely everytime we walked through the lobby. Rooms are clean and updated. Hotel is only 6 floors so our "city view" upgrade was a bit of a let down. Otherwise great overnight experience.
I have stayed for 4 nights at the hotel and I can say that the stay at Kinzie Hotel was fabulous. Location of the hotel is perfect, close to the subway (state/lake) which can take you from/to the airport, also you have the Chicago river, Chicago loop and the navy pier just around the area, you can basically walk everything without the need of public transport. The services at the hotel was great, on my arrival I was well informed about everything in regards of the hotel, also I received four complementary tokens which I could use for free drinks at the bar in the 6th floor. The room was big and very cozy, I like the way was decorated with the old map of Chicago city as wallpaper, the room was super clean and well maintained during my stay. Breakfast was ok, it has done the job for me but they could put more variety of stuff to eat, the food was good and also on time. This way of going to collect the food and then go to your room to eat it I have never experienced it before but as for my first time I have not complains at all, I have enjoyed it.
As over all... friendly stuff, great location and amazing rooms I can say that I recommend this hotel to everyone.
The Kinzie Hotel was an amazing, small but comfortable hotel that has an amazing sense of the interests of their travelers. I absolutely loved their live chat system that is available for your assistance around the clock. The rooms are small but nothing that you wouldn't expect in a modern hotel built down town in a major city.
Staff is very friendly. Location is wonderful. Bed was very uncomfortable. We could hear every noise on the street from the 3rd floor.
Great hotel. Perfect location in Chicago. Free bread and random snacks for breakfast and free after hours drinks (beer and wine only)
Visited my parents while they stayed there, and the Kinzie has beautiful rooms and an excellent staff. The views of the city are very nice, and the daily happy hour is a wonderful little bonus. My parents love staying there when they visit Chicago, and I certainly enjoy getting a chance to see the hotel when they're in town.
Nice room, nice desk, nice staff but pass if your on a budget. $71/per day just for parking when the room is $80 before taxes and fees. That's an 88% increase just to park... No thanks, if they included parking with your stay I would happily give a 5 star rating
Not that good, this hotel was not anything like I expected . The hotel room seemed run down. It kind of reminded me of a hotel that you can rent a room for months It definitely does not fall in the class of the Hilton or Marriott . As for our stay when you would flush the toilet the handle would not raise so the water would keep from running and it would make a noise that you could hear through the wall . They tell you its pet friendly but they forget to leave out that there is no grassy area nearby to let your dog go to the bathroom . As for their continental breakfast that's exactly what it is they had hard boiled eggs some stale bagels and some muffins donuts juice things like that. The room just looked lived in the bed was squeaky and not very comfortable . I don't know why everyone is giving this hotel good ratings maybe it's because the price is so cheap don't know I paid 324 for a one night stay that wasn't all that great of a deal it is in a good location though Magnificent Mile close by House of Blues Harry. Caray's restaurant
Location is good, and rooms were clean. Would highly recommend for anyone on business north of the river in Chicago.
The stay was most excellent. The staff friendly and helpful and the room had everything I could have needed. My colleague booked another hotel and was jealous of the smart TVs
The check-In process is quick, the fact that there is no free parking when getting a room here is not ok. Valet Parking is available but at a charge. They offer texting as an option to ask questions about your stay which I think its AWSOME!! They gave me complimentary water bottles which is great! Overall: I would come back, and recommend to other people!
Staff is very friendly. Room is nice. Can't ask for much more.
Everything is very good! Have a pleasant experience here!
The rooms were clean and comfortable. Service was the best.
Nice people, nice hotel. The room was a little hot and for the price you'd expect better amenities.
Nice hotel, clean, modern, with a friendly staff and a great location. Love the old maps of Chicago on the walls in the rooms and the free continental breakfast.
Loved this small hotel. Great location, awesome staff, modern week appointed rooms, comfortable beds. Perfect location to sightseeing destinations. Happy hour was very good. Continental breakfast was just enough to get us started on our day. Would definitely stay here again.
The nicest hotel I had ever stayed at. The complimentary drinks were good and strong. We didnt quite wake up in time for the breakfast but they let grab some of the leftovers before they cleaned up. The room itself was big and we had plenty of room between 5 people.
This hotel is awesome! Breakfast is delish and smart, service is always excellent, and super convenient to walk everywhere from its location. Very clean and comfortable and will definitely be going back there!
Hotel well located and modern. We can pick up breakfast on the tray that they put in the room and have breakfast in bed! The dinner menu (catering) is pretty basic, but the restaurant that has downstairs solves the issue.
We had a great stay. Complementary drinks in the evening and breakfast in the morning. Hotel has nice views and is well maintained.
Great staff, friendly, breakfast was easy to get to an awesome...no complaints.key location
The rooms are comfortable, spacious and luxurious. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.
Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable and reasonably sized rooms, complimentary breakfasts and happy hours (including mixed drinks!), and even free (albeit rather slow) wireless. Oh, and very reasonable prices for a Chicago hotel! Definitely a fine hotel pick in the windy city!
Really nice hotel. Clean and convenient local in Chicago. Friendly staff.
Extremely friendly and affordable hotel in the heart of Chicago that is dog friendly. Walking distance to Millennium Park and plenty of other attractions.
Loved staying here during my visit to Chicago. Hotel is located within a few minutes of most major sightseeings/locations to visit. The rooms are big and spacious. All the staff is extremely helpful and welcoming. Recommend 10/10.
Lovely hotel! Courteous staff! Comfortable and well-decorated rooms!
The hotel is located at the center of downtown Chicago, that allows you to walk to every mayor location that you will need. All the trending restaurants are in the area at a walking distance.
Great location, good service, awesome room with a view.
Comfortable rooms and surprisingly quiet. Perfect location for exploring the city
The hotel staff was super nice and helpful. Everything was clean and the lounge is nice. Would stay here again.
It's ok. Nothing good but nothing interesting or exciting. Clean and well-organized but not warm or possessing any kind of atmosphere.
Cute hotel, although you wouldn't guess it! They give you a free drink on the 6th floor, which you would think was a rooftop, but was just a corner area of the hotel. Interesting staff - after we checked in and went to dinner, when we walked back in they acted like we were strangers walking in. The Continental breakfast is slim, but nice to have the option of fruit, pastries and cereal as an option.
Friendly staff, little variety at breakfast, they close the bar very early, comfortable rooms.
This is the second time we have stayed there and they really know how to treat their guests.
We really enjoyed our stay! The room was nice and the staff were very friendly and personable. We enjoyed happy hour on Saturday night. It was also a great downtown location within walking distance of a lot of attractions.
Big room. Refrigerator, iron, hairdryer in the room. Tv is nice, we can watch YouTube and Netflix too. Breakfast is meh. It's just cereal, bread, donut, fruits, coffee. It's just different from what i expected. WiFi is fast. We could check in early at 130pm which is super nice. No free bottle of water.
Hotel with good structure and extremely well located.
Came here for theater with friends. Hotel is wonderful, great location, great food at happy hour and super bartenders. Gerry Medina went above and beyond to assist us with all of our needs the entire stay. Ravi the doorman was always helpful, smiling, and of great assistance. Highly recommend this hotel. Quiet and classy with excellent service.
We loved our stay here, it s in a perfect location, close to lots of great restaurants, shopping and the Riverwalk. The service was great and the bed was super comfortable! We will come back :)
Great location! Near all the bars and restaurants and staff is very friendly. Breakfast also on every floor in am!
This is literally the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Our room had a curved window looking out onto the streets of Chicago, the bedding was soft and fluffy, and the shower was magnificent. We went downstairs to drink wine and had one of the best nights I can imagine here.
Great experience at the Kinzie. The front desk staff were awesome. Room was well-appointed. It was convenient to have the continental breakfast set up on each floor, and even more convenient to have a tray in the room on which to carry your breakfast. I also enjoyed the hot tea (mint!) available in the lobby in the evening. Location is walkable from MagMile as well as the city center sites.
Great option in a convenient location. Easy walk to most major Chicago landmarks. Fairly modern decor. Nice size rooms. Breakfast and happy hour included in stay. Solid. Recommended!
Great location. Super helpful staff - reception, door staff all really great. Buffet breakfast on each floor slightly idiosyncratic - but it works.
Fun and comfy place to stay for our 1 year anniversary. They sent up champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to our room! They have continental breakfast on each floor and a bar room to go hang out and drink with free snacks. Really cool place. Would def stay here again.
I love the Kinzie Hotel. The staff is great and the location is awesome. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The showers have double heads and lots of water flow.
In the evening, they have a complimentary bar and snacks, which is really nice.
I have stayed about a dozen times and always come back!
Very modern and the beds were comfortable. Bathroom was clean and updated. The front desk staff was very nice. Good experience
Nice clean rooms, great friendly guest services and staff. This is my favorite place to stay when travelling to Chicago.
Took my boy there on business so he could see Chicago. Unfortunately we got worst view room ever. In fact, the view of the mechanical and plumbing on the roof of bld next to us (which is pretty much all we could see) was an absolute hideous assault on my eyes and the window should be bricked in as I would have rather seen a painting of a dog or a tree or....something other than that. Will return to the old Hotel 71 (Now Wyndham) next time.
Great location. Great service. Great value. Liked the window seats and fitness room. Wine at happy hour was lovely.
Great modern atmosphere, really pleasant staff and very comfy rooms. Choices for room service food are pretty good also! I would've liked more hot options in the breakfast selections, but it's otherwise the nicest hotel I've experienced in a long time. Would not hesitate to return.
Overall very friendly and nice accommodations. Bathroom towels are old and need replaced is my only real complaint.
Is a Woman's Bathroom on 6th floor, but not a Men's... There was a private bathroom in his hotel room though.
Price good. Location good. Internet good. Free drinks - very good! Recommend.
The hotel is within close distance of the Mart. Very clean, close to restaurants and Starbucks (always a plus for me ). The staff was kind as well - they have a convenient texting system that was great as well.
Nice boutique style hotel. Breakfast bar on every floor. Good coffee.
Awesome location, and fantastic happy hour. Surprisingly poor continental breakfast.
I was really happy with my stay! The room was clean and inviting, the bed was comfy, and the amenities were great! It's also right in the area of some really cool stuff, and less than a block from the House of Blues (which is what I was visiting for).
Will definitely consider Kinzie first the next time I need to stay in Chicago.
I love the place. But it is only best for short stays cos they don't have kitchenette
