Happy to have stayed here & experience its original Chicago character.
Elevators are the original 1924 size & location.
Room was nice, breakfast buffet onsite, and location was excellent.
Staff was very accomodating.

They also offer $10 each day you don't request room service to apply to an in house meal.

If it was a real add on the customer would be able to opt out & not use it, which would be better received as their option to save money, instead of a sneaky way to charge more.
.

Gym review
- better than most, top floor, 2 rooms, multiple pieces of equipment & wide open space.
- natural light & city view
- running the stairwell to the 25 floor also get your heartrate going.

Would easily stay again.

Staff was rude, hotel smelled like garbage, rooms were tiny there was a used toothpick on our bed when when we checked in, the room was so dusty, there was mold in the bathroom, everything was under construction and we were still expected to pay full price for much less. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. When we checked in we found out about the hidden fees that they make sound free...the one and only good thing I can say about this hotel is the location is great... we will most definitely will be coming back to this amazing city but absolutely will NOT be staying there. I just can t over how rude the front seat staff was...

Very nice hotel, that is almost 100 years old. One of the three elevators was not working at all during our stay, and another was down for a couple hours, which was frustrating. Staff was very friendly though.

Location is in a great area. Close to a bunch of shopping and restaurants. I'm not too impressed with the hotel itself. When I got in the room, I didn't see any info you typically find such as info about the hotel, the eatery located in the hotel. No pool. I went to the eatery for lunch at 11 and was told its closed for lunch by the check in staff. What restaurant closes at 11 for lunch? Basically you are paying a lot for location and nothing more.

Beautiful building in a great location. But the rooms are small for what you pay for. Parking is $60 overnight, even with a reservation. The lights flickered constantly in the ballroom - it felt like we were in a horror movie. The elevators felt unsafe at times.

Bad customer service! Request cancellation by email; Nobody can be reached by phone and messages on the AM are not answered. It's a shame, now we have to hire a lawyer to get our money back. The current situation is difficult, but that's not how you treat your customers.

The location is unbeatable for taking in the dining, shopping and sightseeing of the Mag Mile. Navy Pier is also a short walk away. Rooms are a touch dated and smaller than what you might get at the national brands but service was excellent, the staff were friendly and the room was comfortable. I liked the small touches like lots of elevators for short waits, a retractable clothesline in the shower and pre-written dry cleaning tickets. Beds were comfortable and warm. You'll be really tempted to sleep in. We had a nice view of Michigan Avenue from the room and the TV had a lot of channels. I would say I got a good night's rest but I stayed up too late watching movies so that's on me. ;)

Terrible customer service. Some businesses have thrived and shown how much they care during covid19. This one has not. My reservation was cancelled by mistake by a Warwick representative, and I was supposed to receive a refund. Now they say oh we have no record of this and quit responding to my emails.

The location of this hotel is great right on Mich ave in the center of shopping metropolis. The room was cute. The bathroom was tiny!! Our view was right over Michigan Ave. it was very bright and noisy at night. There are room darkening shades which you will need to block out the city lights. We got used to he sounds. The mini fridge and snack area has sensors so don t move anything or you ll have a charge. Check your bill. We had 34$ in charges which we never ate anything from the mini bar. They reversed the charges. I m sure they hope you don t notice. The coffee area in the lobby is nice. We did not eat here but there was a nice looking restaurant right in the lobby area. It s a great price for the location and historical building. Could use some updates. I would stay here again.

The location of the hotel is hard to beat. Since it is right on the famous Michigan Avenue, which is an absolute plus.
Unfortunately, the location is also the biggest negative point. Because of the simple glazing, the rooms are very noisy and you have the feeling that the cars are driving almost through the room. This applies especially to the lower embroidery. The further up you get the quieter it gets.
The rooms are relatively small for American standards.
I saw four rooms and they were all the same size. There are also rooms that are directly adjacent to the neighboring building. In these rooms there is more or less darkness day and night, as there is no light. You can also see a wall from the window.
Nevertheless everything is there what you can expect as a guest.
Flat screen TV, coffee maker, iron, ironing board and safe.
The rooms are clean. The curtains close the windows only moderately and for someone who likes to sleep in the dark, it is definitely too light. Air conditioning is also available, which can be easily adjusted.
The hotel has a small restaurant and offers breakfast.
Internet can also be booked.
The hotel is a non-smoking hotel.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
We had to wait a relatively long time for the elevators at peak times.

Very excellent hotel. The King suite was awesome and room was just what I was hoping for. The Warwick is located on Michigan Avenue which makes the area near the hotel easy to navigate and full of stores. Valet parking overnight only cost $60 for our whole stay and came with unlimited times you can pull you car out. Overall a nice trip and I would stay here again in the future.

Wifi is crazy over priced, rooms are tiny, beds uncomfortable, and they block the HDMI ports on the TV's, but the good news it the location is great so you won't be staying in the room very long.

The services for this hotel were nice. The room I was in was pretty tiny, single queen sized bed. About the size of a small bedroom. It is an older building so i can understand them being small. I can't say much for the suites because I didn't stay in one. But considering it's Magnificent Mile location, the overall value isn't too bad. It would be great for the business traveler needing a place to stay while in the area, not so much for a family. Unless you get an upgraded room.

Great Groupon deal. Easy to find, easy check in! $60 a night hold, nothing crazy. Beds are comfortable with NO bugs. Bathroom is super nice and clean. The rooms are small but very comfortable for two people. Only thing id change is being able to open the window! 10th floor and window screwed shut.

AWFUL service. My husband had reserved this room 3 months in advance. After a long day of flight delays and travel, we arrive to the Warwick at 10:00pm, we were told our room was NOT ready and was still waiting to be cleaned. After waiting over an hour, we were told our room was still not ready. While waiting in the lobby, there were 6 other reservations that were also waiting for their rooms to be cleaned. Management needs to be aware of this HORRID situation, it s absolutely rude and poor business. Do NOT book a room here.

Do not stay here if you need the internet, even when it is part of what you've booked they won't give it to you unless you join a club and even then the internet is sketchy at best (you can pay upwards of $10 a day for internet that supposedly works).

The front desk staff were the rudest I've come across, when I tried to get the internet fixed I was told hotels in the US never provide internet, as this was the fifth US city I'd visited in the past month and the only one I'd experienced this in I begged to differ. The receptionist rolled his eyes and made me lost where I'd stayed as if I was the liar?!?

Rooms were very small and very dark, TV in our room was mounted lopsided and the sheets didn't fit the bed (a small flat sheet and old fashioned mattress protector was wrapped around the mattress leaving much off it exposed).

If you do stay here try for a lower floor as the elevators take forever; seven minutes was our longest wait but we heard people say over ten and the hotel didn't seem that busy.

Location of this hotel is good and the housekeeping staff are friendly and work with what they're given but I cannot say anything else positive about this hotel.

I dont know where other reviewers have stayed at, but I found the place sub par for expectations. I've stayed ay Hiltons, Holidays, Candlewoods, Best Westerns, and even Super 8's with better quality.

Its like the place is trying to compete to be a 4 star when its a 2 star without investing in the place. Its a beuitiful and historic building. Wish they would sale it to someone who would care.

Staff at check-in seemed annoyed that I was there. Which sucks when your paying 250+ a night.

Elevators are a puzzle. To get to the fitness center you can only take a specific one, but ringing the elevator button brings all 4 to your floor.

Leaned against a hallway wall while waiting for an elevator. Wall was paper thin and almost broke through.

WiFi was overpriced and a joke that it wasn't free without enrolling in a membership.

Fitness center had poor lighting and seems like grandmas attack.

No microwave in room. No mini fridge. Small, poor layout for room. Broken outlets, stained carpet, and boot scuff marks on the walls.

The 20.00+ breakfast buffet offered less than free continental breakfasts Ive had at Best Westerns and other motels.

Check out guy was a big improvment in demeanor.

Havent stayed at any other locations in downtown Chicago, but I certainly wont be back here next time. There are other motels for the same price in the down town area that would be worth checking into.

I stayed for a week on vacation. Had a nice time, the rooms while not being huge were clean and well kept.

It is a fantastic location for seeing Chicago on the Magnificent Mile about a 20 minute walk to Navy Pier and right in amongst the shops.

There is free Wi-Fi if you sign up, you can only connect two devices and it is slow for a modern hotel (there is a pay option too). The tv choice was limited and expensive I thought to get a modern movie ($20), not an internet tv so no Netflix etc.

Nice, but expensive bar and breakfast $22 for a buffet breakfast. Which was nice I thought was a little steep. Would I stay again? Yes, but might look for somewhere else first.

Nice old hotel in very good condition - clean and well maintained. The building has old fashioned proportions for a 25 story building. It's historic and has character without any funkiness. The staff is very professional and courteous. The elevators are small and not numerous enough to serve 25 floors during busy periods without significant delays. The octagonal banquet rooms on the 23rd floor are not opulent but very nice and truly unique.

The rooms are small, but adorable! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only note is there is no mini-fridge, only a refreshments center that you get charged for anything you take out! Wifi also costs $10 a day, supposedly there is a way to get it free but we could not figure it out and it wasn't clearly written anywhere.

Staff was friendly and efficient at booking desk, rooms was nice and comfortable , however the rooms was not ready at check in time , 4 pm, that was a bit uncomfortable since we wanted to freshen up before our event, had to leave the event after 7 pm to go back to the hotel to check in , unnecessary Uber cost for both trips , just to check in , overall we were happy with the rooms .

Good afternoon,

Good afternoon,
I stayed at this hotel from the 26th to the 30th of May this year.
The hotel is beautiful, clean, great location, but the staff are terrible attendants. They don't pay attention. They have no patience with guests (like me) who do not know fluent English. We are tourists. This hotel from what I saw, welcomes guests from all over the world. Employees should receive training to be more attentive and patient with their guests.
If I return to Chicago, I will not stay at this hotel again. And I won't recommend it to my friends, even though I loved Chicago.

My stay at this hotel was very disappointing. My room was the size of a walk-in closet and a half. Our bed comforter had makeup smeared on it and had holes, so we requested 2 NEW blankets and it took over 30 minutes to get them. One of our window blinds didn't work(shut) so we couldn't make the room dark to take a nap during the day. I honestly felt I was shoved in a old college dorm and paying $200 a night for it. Our room was 3 feet away from the elevator so we heard every person and thing happening outside our room.(including elevator maintenance in the a.m) The room we got should be turned into storage space. No one should be booked in room 625. Pros: location. Book somewhere else.

I reserved a suite two months in advance for 2 nights. I was told that check in was 4pm, so I was surprised when we arrived at 8pm and our room was not ready. They said it would be about another 30 minutes, and suggested we go out for dinner assuring us the room would be ready when we got back. We were gone about an hour and returned to find that the room still wasn t ready. Finally after standing in the lobby for another hour, we were able to get into our room. For the inconvenience they gave us vouchers for free drinks (house beer/wine only) and free breakfast. The breakfast was a joke - nothing more than a continental breakfast similar to what you d find at a Budget Inn. For the price we paid, I expected a much better experience. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

We have loved the Allerton. We were upgraded to a suite for free and it was such a blessing to us because we have a tiny baby who needs the space for a crib etc. We only wish there would be a fridge and maybe microwave in the room.

While the hotel overall was nice, the staff was truly difficult to deal with. They came across as rude and unwilling to help. We requested early check in 3 days before, 24 hours before and called early check in morning as we were coming from an overnight flight. Long story short, they were unable to accommodate this. It would have been fine, had the staff been understanding of our request and kind. However, the girl I dealt with was rude.

Our room was nice, bigger than we expected (king standard) but it was dirty. We were so tired we didn't call down to complain. There were also dried blood stains on the carpet which really bothered us.

The beds were comfy and the bathroom nice. However the room had an overall dirty feeling( brown smears on the bathroom door) things like that. I ended up cleaning myself since we were so exhausted.

Over all, ok hotel.

Well priced! Clean rooms!!! Ran into a employee (Catalin) explained history of the hotel and the famous people who performed and stayed here! Now I truly appreciate this place even more! I feel as if the owners need to push the history and display more pics of this magnificent place on all the floors by the elevators. The bottom line is it would create more sales and revenue for this historical hotel!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!..Do not waste your money at this hotel!! Staff is so unprofessional and our hotel suite for my
Sisters bachelorette party was very dirty from the moment we walked in. The room was 90 degrees and smelled like spoiled food. Plus the walls in the bedroom had some type of liquid sprayed all over. We called serveral times for towels/wash clothes blankets etc.. it took forever and was delevered with attitude....We also asked for napkins for the pizza we ordered and the front desk said " we can bring you a box of tissues".... Warwick hotel is a joke. Management & staff you should be ashamed.
