We ve been supporting AMA for the past couple of years at all of their events and fundraisers!!! They really are genuine and the best with the animals and all of their efforts!!! Keep it up ladies

The best place to adopt a pet. The people at AMA are carrying, informative and will answer any questions you may have. I can t take them enough for their hard work!

We had an excellent experience with Mariya, Anna, Day, Hector and the entire organization. We found everyone to be professional and courteous throughout the entire process. We loved that everyone was so thorough because it is a true testament to how much they care about animals. The physical space they are in is warm, welcoming and showcases their true passion for the work they do. When we have the opportunity to rescue again, we will not hesitate to work with AMA again!

I cannot express how amazing this rescue is!!
I had found two kittens in my yard, one had its leg completely missing, the other kitten had his leg hanging by a thread. After searching online for every possible rescue who would assist I finally came across AMA, who not only was so quick to reply to my texts of the emergency but was also so very quick to assist and lead me to an animal hospital near by to get the kittens the medical attention they needed so very urgently. I cannot express how thankful I am for them, their help, & for all that they do for the precious animals who need them! Would give 10 stars if i could!

What a great group of people. The adoption process for my Rosie couldn t have gone smoother. Anna was so easy to work with, and the communication was fluid. I ve adopted from other places, but the process with AMA was far superior. Thank you for making us happy and for all you do.

AMA is a very dedicated, persistent, and amazing group of people. They rarely say no to any situation to save an animal and find the means to rescue as many as they can. Mariya is absolutely wonderful. AMA rescue is one I know you can count on for all of your needs. It can be challenging to find a rescue facility you know the animals are truly being cared for at the upmost value, I can assure you this is the place.

I always felt bad about animals who were left alone or abandoned, so in addition to different donations here and there, I was looking for a place where I can go and actually help in any way I can. I found AMA animal rescue online and thought to give it a try. I did not know much about this place before I joined. To my biggest surprise, my first thought was "This place is so warm and cozy!" When I rang the bell, two dogs were running towards me wagging their tails. So every time I come, it s like a THERAPY for me, and I think the reason I feel this way is because there are people who truly do love animals, and you can see it from how animals are being treated and taken care of to how clean and organized everything is. I did not expect loving this place so much, so if you want to feel positively charged and help animals, this is the place.

AMA does great work and is a fantastic organization where everyone involved in thoroughly dedicated to saving lives and changing the culture/attitudes regarding animal shelters.

From helping fellow rescuers in Puerto Rico to rescuing animals from meat markets. I am proud to be a long time volunteer with AMA contributing to the fight to saving animals. I've been following ama animal rescue for quite some time now and all I can say is what a wonderful group of people.

A+. The volunteers at AMA Animal Rescue are the kindest people working only to give unwanted dogs and cats a new life! I adopted 9 year old Maggie from them almost 2 years ago. Great rescue to take in an older dog! One volunteer drove 4 hours to my home to make sure it was a good fit for Maggie. They want what is best for the animals and do what is needed! I love fostering for AMA! They always take the best care of their pets.

I started with them as a foster with the intention to adopt. My best friend is a volunteer there. This organization has a heart of gold when it comes to these animals. They take on the cases no one else will. Which is the case with my boy. He was found on the street completely emaciated with gal bladder issues and a bad infection in his groin. The man who found him contacted AMA to help. They found an emergency vet with a specialist that was willing to help them with him. Thousands upon thousands of dollars later and my boy is doing so much better. He is living with us waiting for his adoption day. They are making sure he is 100% better before they let us take him on completely. They have been so amazing throughout the healing and fostering process I can't help but sing their praises to everyone who asks about my boy. If you're looking for a new family member and you want a rescue you can trust, Look no further. AMA Animal rescue is an A+ orginization when it comes to helping people and animals unite. They're aces in my book that's for sure!

This amazing group has saved so many animals from abuse and neglect and death. They nurse sick and abused animals to health and make sure they find a loving forever home. I've known them from the start and couldn't recommend them more highly

I m able to see AMA from the vet care point of view. They take in each and every animal they rescue into the vets office to have them fully checked. Even when the animal in their care isn t sick, they get them full check-ups. They make sure all of their animals have all the require medical care, vaccines, microchips, surgical procedures, and health-preventatives such as monthly heart worm and flea/tick medication. I have seen them fight for the sickest animals no matter the cost. I have seen their adoption process which is nothing but thorough. They will not give their animals to just anyone! They make sure every Single one of them go to the best homes. AMA is a team of amazing people who are fighting to save all of these amazing animals that need it the most!

I adopted the cutest Yorkie ever all thanks to AMA, it has been 6 years now!

I have been following AMA for over two years now and it melts my heart to know that there are true angels out there to help these very vulnerable beings at their worst times. Recently we decided to add another kitten to our household (we already had one) and of course we chose AMA rescue to help us through that journey. We could not be happier with our experience and the newest addition to our family!! Bea is a true Beauty (the name AMA gave her) and a healthy playful kitten. From the time we were interviewed to the time we got Bea the AMA team has been responsive, transparent and very thoughtful. Tanoopa - our adoption volunteer was just amazing, she truly understood our needs and wishes and delivered above and beyond! We are very thankful to AMA for this wonderful experience and our beautiful Bea !

AMA is a group of wonderful women and men who volunteer their time to rescue and fundraise for animals in the most dire situations. They give cats and dogs chances at a brand new, healthy life. It takes a team to make this all happen, but they always come through for the neediest animals locally and internationally (such as Asia's dog farming industry for human consumption).

Everyone that I talked to and helped me throughout the option process were extremely kind, responsive and it was clear that they truly care about all of the animals they shelter. Also, I live in Philadelphia and they were extremely accommodating throughout the entire fostering and adoption process, even though the organization is located in New York. Definitely would recommend their services to anyone looking to adopt and who knows, maybe in the future I will reach out to find a friend for my new cat.

AMA is an amazing organization that helped me find my favorite guy in the world Drogo. They truly are angels. They need any help we can provide. They are always there for any pet big or small. Everyone is super lovely and caring and they take the appropriate measures to make sure each pet ends up in a loving home!! Cheers to these angels for all they do. I adopted my 2 kittens from AMA and I couldn't be happier. One of the babies was really sick when they found her and she required a lot of medical attention. AMA made this possible. Even after I got them, she continued to have some issues. Rather than just going through with the official adoption paperwork and having me cover all the rest of the expenses, they waited to sign the paperwork until after she was in the clear. I appreciated this so much. I'm not sure how much I would have accrued in vet bills if they hadn't been so amazing. They were also very thorough and helpful throughout the entire time I was fostering to adopt, and then at time of adoption. People were always in contact with me, checking in on the kittens. They did a home visit to make sure it was a safe environment for the cats. And to top it off, when u follow all the work they do for some horribly abused animals, it makes u appreciate them even more. Thank you AMA for giving me my amazing babies !

I want to thank AMA and personally Mariya for help with a litter of kittens we found near the train line in a deadly dangerous environment. One of the kittens had a very bad injured eye. I tried to rich few rescues but AMA was the only one who was able to take them in. Volunteer came really fast to pick up the kittens and they brought the injured one straight to the veterinarian! Thank you very much again for your kindness and care you give to the kitties who are in need of rescue!

AMA Animal Rescue is an amazing team! I recently adopted my baby Brownie. Brownie was found severely injured and needing multiple intensive surgeries. AMA'S priority was to save Brownies life no matter the cost. They did not give up on her and if it wasn't for them Brownie would not have made it.

I love how much time and dedication they put into helping the abandoned, sick and neglected animals so they can have a chance at a happy and healthy life. Thank you team AMA for your love and care and for not giving up on any animal.

The staff are extremely dedicated to the animals and the work they do. I would 100% recommend visiting if you re looking for a pet to rescue. All of the cats and dogs are adorable and so friendly. Definitely one of the best rescue centers I ve ever been to.

I recently adopted a cat that I was first fostering from AMA and I couldn't be happier. AMA saved him from a horrendous situation that he went through on the streets, giving him the extensive medical care and love he deserved. After many months of medical boarding, they posted that he was ready for foster, and I jumped at the chance to bring him to a home with comfort and as much love as I had to give. While in my care, AMA regularly checked in for updates, making sure he was safe, happy and healing as he should be. After a few months of building trust and bonding with each other (and my other cat), it became clear that he was meant to be part of our family forever. I am so grateful for the work AMA has done for my sweet boy, as well as the work they continue to do for numerous other animals who just need to be given a chance. Love heals, and that combined with the committed work that AMA Animal Rescue does, so many animals have that chance at the life they deserve to live. I went to this rescue organization and will never use another one. The people who work for this organization truly care about the animals that are there and do extensive research on the candidates who want to adopt the animals. I have had my pup, a mixed breed 8 month old little girl, for 6 weeks now. The AMA has kept in close contact with me to make sure our pup and we are all adjusting well. I send pictures and videos often to them also. The members of the AMA have my full respect and trust for the work that they do. Go here first for any adoption.
I'd like to add to this original post. I have officially adopted my beautiful girl on the 26th! She has her forever home now! The whole process, from start to finish, was amazing! The hardest working and most compassionate team in the industry. AMA take on hard cases where most animal shelters turn a blind eye. They are helping to redefine animal shelters and shed the negative stigma. The team has a very thorough foster to adopt process in order to make sure each animal is perfectly situated with a forever home.

I ve foster several times for AMA and I just love What Mariya and Anna are doing to help and save all these animals. Our dog Jaxx was adopted in January. And we re going to Adopt our current foster Stanion who came from Thailand very soon. They make the process really easy and even got a trainer to help us.

AMA truly cares about the animals.They do everything to provide them with a clean living environment. As a volunteer, I saw how much the animals were cared for and the efforts to make them feel safe. I had a great time as a volunteer and loved the time i had to play and cuddle with the cute pets!

I ve have been following AMA on their Instagram for a while now (if you re not following go give it a view!) so I applied to become a foster mom with them and it was the best decision! The people at AMA are so caring and thoughtful and really go above and beyond to help save all these beautiful furry little angels. Michele reached out to me about a sweet little black kitty girl Stevie who was found with such a bad eye infection they had to remove one of her eyes :( but with the generous, wonderful help of AMA they were able to save her, once she healed up we brought her home to foster. We have a cat at home, Marley and immediately he went into big brother mode, grooming her, showing her how to use the litter box, and how to get around the house. She settled right in and is soooo cuddly and sweet if you re laying down she will come over to you and take a nap right on your chest purring and nuzzling your neck. Everyone in the house fell in love and decided there is no way she wouldn t be a member of our family forever. Thank you so much to AMA for bringing us together and doing so much hard, important work to continue to save and find these fur babies the perfect home.

Best rescue i have ever dealt with. Would recommend to anyone looking to save an animal's life by making a new best friend.

About 6 months ago, I had to take a dog away from a family member who was neglecting this amazing 12 year old dog significantly, with a ruptured tumor.

After looking high and low for a surgeon to remove this tumor for the last few months, I had absolutely no luck because most of them said she did not stand the fighting chance.

I was fortunate enough to stumble onto the angels for mistreated animals group on instagram, and noticed that many of the cases that they were handling were dogs that were seized from neglectful owners as well as dogs found on the street who in fact had ruptured tumors just like my family member's dog.

Fortunately, my family member was willing to turn the dog over to me without a hassle. But it's also good to know that this group will fight tooth and nail in case any form of mistreatment is occurring for an animal and the owner will not turn over the animal to them.

I called their number close to midnight, and decided to contact their emergency number via text, and to my surprise, Mariya, owner of the AMA, in fact contacted me back almost immediately and what a caring soul she is!

I asked her if she can perhaps refer me to a surgeon that they work with and she said absolutely. She helped me get an appointment in almost no time with one of the most over booked veterinarians and surgeons in New York City.

Over the last few days, I've been taking the dog to her suggested vets and I am now awaiting her results.

Mariya even reached out to me over the last few days on her own despite her amazingly busy schedule taking care of all of these poor pooches with her amazing staff to see how the baby was doing.

Words cannot thank her and her organization enough for helping me find a surgeon willing to take on this very difficult case because of it was not for them, this poor dog would need to have been put down over the next week.

If you have the financial means and truly love animals, I would urge you to donate any amount that you potentially can or if you can volunteer, reach out to them as well.

My gratitude to them will last forever and I will do my best to help promote there amazing organization!

We adopted Lulu from AMA in 2014. The founders are pure heart. They truly care about finding the best home for all of their pets. They started this on their own, simply out of their love of animals. Their dedication is evident and they even came out to Staten Island on New Years Day so that we could sign the adoption papers. I will adopt from them again when the time comes.

What an amazing organization! Full of sincere people who truly love the animals and want to make the world better by saving one animal at a time.

I wanted a puppy so bad I checked everywhere but it was way overpriced you can adopt your dog here for a good price and they are so kind. there service is incredible

Found a really sick kitten yesterday and they made sure he was seen by a vet the same day. Thank you for helping the kitten. He wouldn't of made it if it wasn't for AMA Rescue.

I am very happy i adopted my Brooklyn aka (Jules) with AMA they are all very attentive and protective of their animals which is great it shows that they all are doing this for the pure love of the animals. I had an amazing experience and i am Happy That they have brought Brooklyn into my life she is a very energetic, smart and especially funny cat. I also became a monthly donor for AMA.. and if you are an animal lover i would suggest to do the same as they literally use all resources towards helping,rescuing and healing the animals. Great group of caring people who go out of their way to take in and work with cases that most rescues will not work with. They are very passionate group.

The take in mistreated animals and rehabilitate them. The animals get all the medical attention they need and deserve. They do not just give their animals to just anyone. Their mission is to find their animals forever homes with people that will love and give the animals the care they deserve. My family rescued our dog with them. I will always recommend them !

Great experience as a foster transferring from ASPCA! Bowie found his new forever family within just a few weeks on their website, and they found the perfect family to spoil him! They provided vet care, medicine, and prescription food for our fostering and had leashes, treats, and toys available for him. Looking forward to our next foster together!

AMA changed my life. After fostering a few dogs, I found one that I can never part with. Everyone in the group, from the founders to the volunteers, are all dedicated and caring people who look to better the lives of their animals and people alike.

My experience with AMA has been nothing short of amazing and has brought me together with a perfect match, my foster to adopt kitten. Before fostering my now adopted kitten, I knew I wanted to rescue a cat and knew there were plenty in need around Brooklyn and the NYC area. It happened by chance that I found Flospy after researching non-profit organizations and came across AMA, then following them on social media and seeing an Instagram post of Flospy and his two other siblings that had been rescued and placed in a temporary foster home with an incredible young woman.

Having never foster-to-adopted previously, I inquired and was provided with a great deal of information from the girls that led me to decide it was the perfect route for me. What started in a thorough screening to make sure I was in a position to take on Flospy, the girls decided it would be a great fit and our story started from there. The thorough nature that AMA practices gave me all the more comfort, truly showing the incredible care and attention they devote to every single animal that crosses their path.

Throughout my foster-to-adopt process as Flopsy came to age and was ready to be adopted into my forever home several of the incredible women (Mariya, Anna, Day), just a few to name, were constantly in touch, checking in on Flopsy and I, and not letting a vet visit or appointment go by that they weren't involved and informed about. Having just formalized the adoption this past week with such a perfect match, I could not have felt more special and positive about the entire experience. You can see my adoption process with Flospy as shown on their social media, as each adoption is truly special for them and they left the adopters feel the same with a personal touch.

I urge anyone who is in a position to open their heart and home to one of AMA rescues to do so. Mariya, Anna, Day, and all the incredible members of AMA as well as their incredible network of individuals and community are one in a million. Whether you are in a position to take on a rescue or simply can aid animals in need through supplies and donations, you can follow their story as well as AMAs impact through their social media. I adopted Rascal from AMA 7 months ago. It was a lengthy process and took several months, but I cannot say enough about the thoroughness of this organization. This is a group of young people who could do anything with their lives, but chose to rescue and save neglected and mistreated animals instead. Their compassion is unparalleled and the reason the adoption process took so long, was because each and every one of them made sure that Rascal was in good hands. Thanks to all of you at AMA, many animals get a second chance.

I have followed AMA for the last few years now. I wish I could volunteer at the shelter but I live too far away. I just started donating on their wish list though which is my way of giving back. They do such amazing work for these animals and I fully support them!

Ive adopted from them before. It s obvious just how passionate every single person that is a part of that organization truly is. The cases they take on are very serious and the outcomes, rehabilitation s and transformations are sometimes hard to believe. Everything they do they post about, you can see each animal that was rescued and where they ended up. Couldn't say enough good things about them. Please adopt and dont be discouraged, they know what they are doing.

The staff is caring, compassionate about what they do and very easy to talk to. I have to say they really do care about the animals they rescue. They make sure the pets they rescue get excellent care when they're in their shelter and they are also very careful when placing these pets into a forever home. We are so happy that we found out about AMA Animal Rescue and we would highly recommend looking at their website if you are interested in adopting or fostering. We gladly give them 5 Stars.
