Friendly staff and fair prices. Alpine does a fantastic job with snow making and doesn't open up when only a couple of runs are open. Even when just one was closed, the lift tickets were discounted. The runs are fairly long and the black diamonds are a good place for beginners to take their next step.

I went and skiid fir the nughta dn it was great. There was good food in the cafe and it was nice and warm inside.

This is probably the best place to go skiing with in 2hrs of Chicago. The lifts were fast and the trails pretty nice. My only issue was with the bathrooms and how none of the toilets flushed.

I went to ski. I love skiing there for hours on end. The employees are super nice, especially the one girl I talked with in the shop.

Tiny, but easy to get to, ok food, nice staff, and pleasant atmosphere.

We went there Tuesday afternoon. It wasn't packed. Parking was easy. We didn't stay overnight so can't comment on the hotel. So close to Chicago. Definitely reccomend.

Went to see Dead & Company here on Saturday. Beautiful venue, easy disabled parking. Great friendly staff. Bring your own cooler though, drinks are very expensive at the theater.

Trails are pretty short/boring. Trails are super crowded on weekend. Snow conditions during weekday are awful. Once I got there two days after it rained and hills were still full of ice so it was unsafe to ski. Looks like snow is mostly made on weekend. Conditions at Devil's Head during the weekday are great comparing to AVR. And they don t have employees who tell you to move when you fall instead of stopping the lift to give you extra time to stand up.

Best hill in the area. Most runs and fastest lifts.

Horrific front desk staffing! I have been there 3 times and 2/3 they overcharged me and gave me a hassle on getting my well-deserved money back. Other than that the slopes are great, but it is a tad pricey getting in.

When I went it was cold outside, bit their indoor lodge was nice! The hot chocolate was very reasonably priced and warmed me up!

I love snowboarding here I love the high speed quad chairlifts and the terrain park was wonderful I hope to come back again this season

Came to ski but even though ski report showed all runs open, the big hill was down because of lift issues. :-( don't advertise you're open when you're not!

Great Mountain Bike Trails tucked between the ski runs.

There for a mtn bike event. Overall place was clean and comfortable. Was treated nicely. Would stay here again

I thought the property and hotel was very well maintained and cared for great place.

Went golfing with group of 8. Customer service in club house was beyond poor. Guy was super rude and unwelcoming. Spent over $300 on golf and acted like he was doing us a favor. Ranger on course was just as rude, could tell he was following us for what reason we don t know as this was not our first rodeo. No beverage cart on a busy Saturday so we had to improvise... we all agreed we would not be coming back again and we usually go once or twice per month. Sad really as they use to have friendly staff. Wish they would fire whole staff and start over or at least get them some customer service training.

It was my first time skiing. This place was really good. I liked it.

It was a great experience. If you show up early enough you'll have the slopes for yourself!

Great personal great golf courses and great food will go again

If you are to take a lessons at this location I would ask for Ivan. He is a professional with 40 years of experience of skiing and snowboarding. After 2 hours lesson my son who is 12 was able to snowboard from blue and black hills making impressive turns.

It's a great little ski ranch but kind of expensive for the amount you get. Although you won't find much better in the mid west.

Hills are nice but it's like chuckie cheese with all the newbies cutting you off left and right or laying on the ground in the middle so you have to pay extra attention

Went to the Alpine resort to hear Willie Nelson and family for Farm Aid.
it was beautiful. the staff was impeccable And kind.

Replying to the resort owner-- We stayed a few miles away in a queen room with a private hot tub for $100/night with a special rate. maybe the resort could offer a room for something close in price, or with early check-in and late check-out to give legs a break and get more laps in. Or add meal or beer specials.

What a great place to ski! Nice and close coming from Milwaukee, we loved the discount since we came after 2, and the slopes were pretty nice! We'll definitely be coming back

Great value, great ski school, good runs for the Midwest.

Great skiing for Southeastern Wisconsin, holiday pricing is a little steep for a weekday at $51 but you can't beat it for the best skiing in the area.

Close. Well maintained. Fast lifts. Its still Wisconsin snow/ice but hey its good for a quick hop.

Nice family oriented ski area located within a reasonable driving distance of Chicago and Milwaukee.

Went snowboarding at the resort. Hill conditions were pretty good. Prices were reasonable and the staff was helpful.

Excellent ski resort, very professionally groomed slopes and good food. The architecture of the buildings was very good as well, an aesthetically pleasing Swiss style. It would do better for them to expand their number of slopes, and to reduce the amount of heavy snow at the bottom of slopes: they lead to a lot of falls for inexperienced skiiers like my girlfriend and my dad. Those are just small nitpicks though, and overall it's a good place to ski especially for families and intermediates.

Went skiing on a Sunday night. Lift lines were very short if any at all.

Alpine has a great terrain park with plenty of rails and jumps, and they do good even when the weather is bad

Pretty good for a midwest resort. Hotel is a little dated, but customer service has always been excellent.

Was there for a golf outing. Had a very good time. Fun course, good coverage by Bev cart gals. Very enjoyable day.

Played 18 holes of golf. Very busy and confusing at the turn. Long round but fun nonetheless.

Nice location and well maintained. The place and staff are family friendly. Most of the dining is cash only with at least one ATM on the premises. Food is decently priced compared to other resorts.

Decent ski hill for beginners. Looks boring if you are good at skiing

It's all right. Bigger than wilmot, but still small. Not very challenging runs. It does have fast lifts, so you don't wait to long in line.

I am In a ski club and it is really a good time for good skiers

I booked a weekend trip for my boyfriend's birthday, and we had the most amazing time! The hills were the perfect size for us not skiing for many years, the guest service was efficient and friendly, and when I accidentally left my skis behind, they found them and set them aside for me to pick up at another time. I will definitely book here again!

Race was great. Two much time between us first and second session. Spectators where leaving. Food was excellent and reasonable

Oh I loved it..Even if it was my first experience of skiing.. bt if you know how to ski it's awesome.. if it is your first experience like me a little note before you go , just go through the videos showing how to ski you know small tricks and tips are always good to know before you go...

I was there for a mountain bike race. It was great. The trails here are very well maintained.

Visiting Alpine Valley is always a 5 start experience!

It's a pretty fun midwest resort. Not really great for super experienced skiers but since it is so close to the city of Chicago it's easy. The slopes are probably the easiest I have ever skied. It is really one of the best places I have seen to learn to ski and basically get some time on ski's under your belt.

Snowboarded there with my kids during a school trip. Great hills, several fast chair lifts and decent food for a ski hill.

Great place to snowboard, short runs but super quick lifts, usually no lines. The best place to go from Chicago if you don't want to go far.

Visited for the mountain biking. The route was a awesome with 8.5 miles of fun climbs and drops that cross the ski runs. Will go again!

Great Place to get your kids to learn how to SKI. Teacher was great with my kid. Awesome experience so far!
