The snowboarding and ski runs were well groomed and very smooth going. The terrain park had very nice jumps and rails set up, especially for being so early in the season. Was definitelya good experience and I will be coming back soon.

My family has not stayed here overnight but at just an hour s drive from the Chicago suburbs, this ski resort is a wonderful choice for families. Not only is rental and entry affordable ($60 per person per day total), but the teachers are very patient and good.
There s a good variety of slopes (blacks to greens) something for the whole family, from the inexperienced to the more weathered skiers.
For the moms and grandparents not out on the snow, the indoor seating is plenty and comfortable with fireplaces scattered throughout and concession-style food, coffee, and hot chocolate accessible all day. On the upper floors, there are beautiful holiday decorations and when you come in to warm up, you can really enjoy the ambiance. At night, the separate buildings of Alpine Valley and tree lighting work together to create a magical-looking mini ski village (out of Europe or a Thomas Kinkade painting) right here in Wisconsin.
Alpine Valley is def the best ski resort we ve tried in the area, and we come (multiple times) every year. It s also a popular choice for college students on winter break or looking for a fun weekend excursion. I honestly can t wait to come here again next winter !!

Nice but simple lodging . Folks at front desk were very friendly. We brought our dog, and paid a reasonable fee. Hot tub and sauna, and free coffee in clubhouse. full kitchen in our room. Stairs to get to our floor. Grocery store near by, also restaurants , liquor store and ski rental. Free shuttle to lifts. would stay again.

Easy slopes, but lots of fun for beginners and intermediate ski/snowboarding. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday they have ski school that comes with a full day admission for about the same price as the normal daily admission which is really great. Everyone is really nice and helpful.

Alpine valley was a wonderful first skiing experience. The service in the lodge was friendly and accommodating, and all of the lifts and runs were in working order. I can't speak to the nature of the more advanced slopes, but the beginner ones were fun and as long as one could expect from a ski resort in the Midwest.

I have been to Alpine valley many times and when I go there I go there because it's the best place for the distance, if I want some bigger mountains I go out to granite peak but recently when I went to Alpine valley the terrian park was awesome they had it setup perfectly and it was so fun, other than all the kids getting hurt on the terrian corse laying in the way out of your sight. But it was a great experience and a good place for beginners, will be going more in the future.

The service was wonderful. I was there to ski but the staff really helped me feel safe and taken care of. The food is expensive but expectedly so and the skiing is pretty great for the Midwest. No complaints.

I went skiing at Alpine on Friday and Sunday this past weekend. I have been skiing in the Midwest for 45 years, and this is the first time I have been able to ski before Thanksgiving. The snow was great. Alpine does the best job at making snow. Unfortunately, I twisted my knee late on Sunday bad enough to need the assistance of the Ski Patrol. The Alpine Ski Patrol team was great. I highly recommend Alpine for Midwest skiing.

We went to Alpine Valley to get in some skiing. Some of us for lessons, some more experienced. The lessons were good, and the instructors were helpful. We all had a good time for a midwest ski hill.

It's really nice here the ambiance and the European look and all, but it's really expensive. Yea there is stuff for everyone, and the lifts are quad-super fast, yes. The weekends are crazy busy here I mean 15-20 min wait for a 4 person chair lift that is super fast. It's not kept up with grooming all the time.

Used to ride here alot growing up. But things have gotten worse. It's over priced. All day lift tickets are $55, that's more costly than other resorts that have a better selection and terrain. The terrain park is poorly kept every year. The black diamonds ride like intermediate slopes. Some of the lift operators are rude for no reason. The food is more expensive than other resorts. If possible, find another place and it'll be a+ better option.

First time skiing. Went for a 1 he ski lesson which was great. Only problem was figuring out where we were supposed to go to check in and get all of our rental equipment. Pretty confusing for a first time visit

Payed for a pass from 2-10 and was given the wrong kind of ticket by there poorly skilled front desk workers. After me and my friends were going back on the lift at around 8:00 we were stopped and told that we have the wrong pass and told the man that we payed the full amount and must ve been given the wrong tags. We were then followed by the worker to guest services where we were told that if we don t pay $15 more each that they will call the police on us and have us arrested. This is absolutely the most ridiculous experience I have ever had at a ski resort and can promise me and my friends will never be coming back nor do we recommend anyone going here also. Alpine Valley is horrible and don t give even discounts out to students as they say they do

Great place for your intro to skiing. We really liked the weekend, 2 hour intro class for our grade school son. Reasonably priced, caring and effective instructors, nice and gentle slopes to begin with. You need to have cash on hand for the Cafe, NO credit cards.

This is our first visit to this ski resort. First the good - excellent front desk people, clean environment, helpful ski staff, clean pool and hot tub. Not so good - room was very noisy with opposite room people having drunk were shouting, yelling, screaming in the night!!. Very poor choose of food for vegetarians/vegans, extremely high price of food in cafeteria upstairs. Free wifi was hardly accessible with very poor signal. For first timers/ biginners not at all recommended- when skiing down hill, no safety barriers from falling into the frozen creek/stream/lake!!!. This certainly needs to be addressed!!. Sorry to say - we will it be coming back.

This hotel has the thinnest walls on earth. How thin you ask? So thin that you can literally hear people in the next room having a conversation in a normal speaking voice. So imagine how fun it is when a bunch of middle aged dudes decide to throw a techno dance party and hire a hooker at 3 am. According to the negotiations it was $50 an hour, "no butt stuff." I'm not really sure if that's a good price, but they seemed pleased. The staff didn't seem too concerned. They did ask them to keep it down once. We left to drive back to Chicago around 3:30 am once the moaning began. The staff was cool enough to refund our room price. This place is a disgusting dump; unless you are looking for a value priced hooker orgy or have always dreamed of hearing one unfold six inches from your head.
