Lovely afternoon at Alnwick Gardens, fantastic place to visit. Staff were courteous and helpful. Special mention goes to the young man in the poison plant garden, so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. A grand day out.

The gardens are extensive and mostly accessible for mobility scooters (can be hired from place if rung up before to book) bought in conjunction with Castle tickets, spent 5 hours there, it's amazing

Very beautiful and lovely place to visit. I particularly enjoyed the tour around poison garden, where Jo was our tour guide and was informative but also added some humour to the tour. It would have been nice to visit the tree house but More

Alnwick Gardens are a great place to come and visit with the family. While there isn't a lot to see you can just as easily keep entertained by yourself. Kids have a lot of places they can run around and there's a lot of places where you can just lay down a picnic blanket and enjoy home made food. Definitely will be visit again.

It was closed, too renovations will be delighted to go back again would have been more stars but the staff at the restaurant spoke very degrading towards us, especially about availability exact words, "sorry but we can't let you in as we are fully booked, next weekend we are aswell and the following don't even think about it."

Fairly busy though there s timed entry. Good garden to take children, plenty of space to run about and fun water features. Cascades striking. Trees and hedging excellently kept. Perennial herbaceous plantings are a bit dull. Ample picnic More

This is just the loveliest, most individual garden, from inspiringly beautiful formal areas to completely wacky ones. So beautiful, in so many different ways. And the Poison Garden, only to be seen in small guided groups, is fascinating, great fun and very educational

Surprisingly gorgeous and relaxing. We went during the week in the afternoon so missed most of the crowds. The fountains, layout and everything is well thought out, and it looks like there's plenty of activities during the summer holidays for kids too! Definitely go for a tour of the poison garden, and look at the water sculptures in the serpent garden.

beautiful well kept Gardens you can easily spend a few hours in. If you've got kids in the summer make sure they've got their bathers with them as they can play in the water attractions. And enjoy a guided tour through the poison garden. The water cascade operates at timed intervals

I really liked Alnwick Gardens which I visited this month with my sister and friends. The gardens are beautifully designed and remarkably mature for such a young garden. The gated poison garden was surprisingly interesting and we all learnt something.

Afterwards we lounged in the sun on the grass at the site where Neville Longbottom's lost his remembrall and Harry Potter & Malfoy Lestrange took to the air: Alnwick Castle

Visited the gardens today as an annual pass holder, today was my first covid experience. A pre-booked ticket is required as they're limiting entry numbers to encourage social distancing.

On pulling up in the car park, I'm afraid it was a fail. We pulled into the car park and drove past a sign advising that you still needed to pay for parking. The Gent controlling the car park was friendly enough, told us how much to pay and only then advised that it was contractless payment only, great, well thought out, payment made... then the fail, the gloved, masked Gent then reached out and passed me a paper map.. all that work undone if he was contaminated passing it to every car visiting.

Walking into the park was easy, well sign posted, the only fault being that for some of the visitors "PLEASE WALK TO THE RIGHT" is too hard to understand, numerous times the one way system was destroyed by people not being able to read and follow simple instructions. The first hand sanitiser station was sadly stood loud and proud, but empty....pointless, staff were told and premised to report it.

There are sanitiser stations throughout the gardens, all well placed and foam sanitiser that doesn't leave you sticky, it was noticeable that there are no bins at all apart from the entry and exit areas, this was noticeable because people had disposed of paper masks on the floor, again, disappointing.

The toilets are clean and tidy and well maintained and although food was available we didn't eat there, but the food did look lovely and the staff were wearing visors, gloves and aprons.

Going into the shop does require masks to be worn, so don't forget them as you'll need to talk through the shop to actually exit the gardens.

An ice cream was bought and was nice to see the guy washing his hands between each customer, though sadly the ice cream cone is placed in a plastic stand, so again, if anyone else is infected and touches the stand... everyone else gets infected.

A nice, well distanced experience that seemed fairly well managed throughout.

We didn't visit the castle but the gardens were beautiful helped by the excellent weather. The roots and shoots garden we enjoyed as we too have an allotment and they have several small ones there for the community and education.
