I went with Alluring Glass because I was tired of the run around from local contractors. They were a bit more costly, but I figured I would receive better service. At the beginning it was smooth. I made the call to inquire, set up an appointment for measurements, etc. The measurement appointment was spot-on. The guy even showed up a bit early (unheard of these days). The glass and hardware was ordered with the understanding that it would be approximately two weeks for install. As someone that has to work to pay for these types of luxuries, I took a half day off for the installation. The installers arrived about 30 minutes beyond the two-hour window they gave me (no biggie, I live pretty far out). They brought in all their tools and started to bring in the glass panes. To my surprise, the wrong glass was ordered. I had purchased the acid etched, and they showed up with clear. They said someone at the office would call me immediately to discuss the error and work on a resolution. So, I wasted five hours of time off (which I typically like to use for family time) for a job that couldn't be completed. No one called me. I had to call them. The person I spoke to wasn't familiar with my work order, so I had to wait until the original salesman was in the following week. He was supposed to call me. Again, I made the call as I hadn't heard anything. Was told they were working on getting the glass panes re-ordered and an expediated install. They were booked so they were going to figure out a way to squeeze me in. Was told they'd call me back in a couple of hours and give me a date/time as I needed some advance notice to be able to, again, take time off of work. That call didn't come. I ended up calling the following day. Thankfully, I was able to get the time off to be at the residence when install occurred. All said, the install looks pretty good and, at present, functions as it should. I expected a better start-to-finish experience. I guess I should have been more aggressive, because I wasn't credited any partial refunds (as previous reviewers mentioned) for the less than positive experience. They also charged my credit card without speaking to me prior. You'd think when you pay a bit more for a product/contractor you would get a better experience - these days I suppose that doesn't matter.
