Very comfortable. Friendly staff. Great cheeseburgers. Lots of charm.
Very comfortable. Friendly staff. Great cheeseburgers. Lots of charm.
Good hotel. Great location, but the rooms are smaller. No refrigirator, no microwave, no coffe maker, no sofa, in a typical king bed room. The service and the check in experience were good.
Excellent hotel, with prime location. For our stay, excellent cost x benefit.
Decent hotel central to a lot of attractions. Approximately two blocks from subway. Elevators suck.
Old historic building. Rooms are small but comfortable. Noise not an issue on the 19th floor. Decor, room quality and service all on par for this price range.
This is a beautiful hotel located right on the Magnificent Mile, the high-end shopping district of Chicago. Very nice rooms and excellent service, which is notable considering when I stayed here the hotel staff were on strike. Would recommend!
THe view of our room was amazing! It was overlooking Michigan Ave. It was a beautiful room with a classic chicago feel. The receptionist was a little rude when my fiance and I told her we were there together for a king bed room. It was a little awkward. Everyone else was very friendly. Clean bathrooms, soft towels,.. all amazing.
Such a beautiful area that I don't remember what I was around there to buy a new Disney Store is just down the street
I think the prices are too much for what it is. The staff are quite mean and act superior. And the maids don't understand the word privacy. Either you put it on the door or not they just knock and open 6door if you don't answer. I got woke up many times by them every morning despite adding privacy.
Staff was super friendly. Room was clean. Restaurant breakfast buffet was excellent and high quality
Location is great, Staff were so friendly, we had an issue with the online reservation of a room with 2 beds. They said they received a reservation of 1 bed only. They quickly fixed it for us and we didn't have to call the online third party.
Rooms are pretty small. Hallways are very narrow.
Price was reasonable. However, the parking was soooooo expensive $60 per night!!!
Overall cleanliness was good, but the carpet looked very old and didn't feel clean.
No fridge or microwave...
Surprisingly nice elegant 1920 s hotel that s been refurbished. Great location on Michigan Avenue. Rooms are small but fine. Standard . Room very small. I got a king. And join their rewards program for free WiFi etc
If there were a negative star rating I d give it to this run down outdated hotel. I ve stayed many many places off Michigan ave and this is by far the worst place I ve ever stayed. No and I mean hardly speaks English. I had to repeat myself over and over again because they don t understand what you are saying. The icing on cake was Felipe, so unprofessional and discontinuous. He actually called a derogatory name and I went into shock. He s the food and beverage manager!!! Do yourself and your family a favor and stay somewhere else. This hotel is beautiful inside and out. The staff was excellent.
Small rooms. Comfortable beds and nice TV, very tastefully decorated. Extra costs on top of being expensive aren't great (WiFi, breakfast etc)
Room was exceptional! Staff was mostly nice. A few times they lacked compassion for the customer. They catered to the weddings going on, while the rest of us had to take a back seat to the service. Rooms were supplied with pencils that were unsharpened. Felt severely underclassed. Otherwise, beds were awesome. Could have stayed in bed all day.
I love the hotel, I stay there Everytime I m in Chicago .. but it takes sooo long for your $60 to be refunded to your account
Location is good ^^
It's good to see Chicago's famous places.
Please clean your room early.
Check-in is at 4, I think it's a little late.
Nice hotel at a good price. WiFi was extra cost though, which is becoming very rare these days. As a business traveler this is kind of annoying when I don t even get a decent free connection to check my emails when the Hampton Inn next door has it for everyone.
Breakfast buffet was expensive and over-priced.
The room was very small, but clean. The staff was friendly. The location was good, but the we had no view. For the price we had hoped for more.
Not worth the money. In didn't appreciate the hidden costs that we got billed after. When booking I got the price and it said I'd just have to pay the fee when I got there. That is what I expected, not an additional amount that I was billed. The amount I paid is rather have stayed at an well known Hotel with more amenities. The room we had was small, the bathroom shower disgusted me with hide stained it was and the toilet didn't flush properly. Definition would not go back.
I AM in Love with this place. Not only is it beautiful its affordable as well. We booked the specialty suite and its amazing with its separate bedroom and an entire living room and full sized bath. Its like a one bedroom apartment without the kitchen. Im so comfortable I don't want to leave. These pillows feel like a cloud. 2 things. I wish i could have hooked my Chromecast to the Tv. And I wish for the price there was a mini fridge and microwave. But Over All. I loved it. Coming from humble beginnings this was amazing to me. Regardless of the other reviews.
Here now pretty good so Far here untill Monday changing room Sunday upgrading?A little small for king to me .
This was our 1st visit. I picked this hotel because of its location to Northwestern Memorial hospital. Besides the $65.00 sticker shock for the valet service. The hotel was very nice. Stephen the Valet was an absolute gentleman. He gave us suggestions for dinner. Told us places near the hotel (short distances)we could walk to. I have a spinal cord injury, so walking is difficult. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the hotel, and places around it. We will return soon.
This review is based on the 4-star rating the Warwick Allentown boasts.
First, the positives: the toiletries are top notch and the location is magnificent- right next to the Neiman Marcos with Saks right around the corner. You also have a Walgreens nearby and a lot of decent looking restaurants and brasseries nearby.
Now, I booked through a 3rd party app so maybe that accounted for the room I was assigned.
The room was small. Really small- once you re in, it s full. There s nowhere to stretch out or put anything. Next, the corridors are so narrow that you can t move 2 strollers side by side. You d have to move them one by one.
There s no restaurant on site so no room service. They have breakfast (not very bad) for about $22plus tax. I ordered in every night I was there.
The lobby is narrow and cluttered (same space serves for breakfast and bar). This place isn t for lounging- you do you business and stay in your equally tiny room. This place felt more like a trucker s hostel than a 4-star hotel.
Staying here and looking at the Omni right across the street was torture. I wouldn t stay here ever again.
I recently stayed at the Warwick Allerton Chicago with my husband on a long weekend trip to Chicago. Rooms are small, but comfortable. The hotel is clean and staff are friendly and accommodating. Coffee is served in the lobby every morning for guests and there is a full service restaurant on site. The location is walking distance to many tourist attractions including the Cloud Gate, Water Tower and 360 Chicago. The view up and down Michigan Ave. is beautiful, especially in winter time when the trees are lit with Christmas lights.
Sound insulation isn't great, but the rooms were comfortable and the location is great
Hotel very well located. Comfortable room, but the double bed could be bigger. Staff bad, nothing attentive or friendly.
Most of the staff were very friendly. The woman at check-in was awful though. Honestly, you're a front facing work, don't be rude.
Elevators are extremely small and slow and you can tell the rooms are being rehabbed, but it's not awful.
Excellent customer service. Nice rooms and the best location. Would stay here again!
The location is great, right on the Magnificent Mile and within walking distance of many attractions and the trains for further out locations. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room had decent views. Room was modern. And I liked there green initiatives. Note though - while room and bathroom I chose were good sized to me, I imagine a couple, a larger person, or possibly elderly person might have a touch of difficulty.
Place in very good location, spacious rooms very good bed and TV
Staff very friendly, very friendly and also speak Spanish both the concierges of the lobby and the reception that is on the 2 floor
Very noisy with a workers strike outside. Rooms a bit tired and worn. Nice breakfast.
Very unimpressed with this hotel. I booked a room with a King size bed & when I arrived I was informed that there were none & instead I would have a queen bed. I was told that they would move me to another room the following day with a king bed; however the next day once again was told there were none. All they offered me was a voucher for a breakfast for one day during my four night stay. The rooms are small, with super low ceilings, and mine smelled like cigarette smoke. While I was at the reception, another guest came down to complain that their room was full of gnats/ flies. I will not stay here again. There are plenty of other great hotels in this area for a better value.
Excellent location. Near the Water tower place. Old but very functional hotel. It is very well updated, and the service is excellent. Most of the restaurant staff are Mexican, and they are excellent hosts.
The only detail that I do not like is the closet in the room, too small.
The hotel is nice, but there were several logistical issues. The doorman didn't seem to be doing anything and didn't offer to open the doors. we arrived at 3: 15 and our room was supposed to be ready at 4. Typically hotels have rooms ready early but ours was not ready until 3: 45. There was no stairway from ground floor to lobby level, so after descending from our room to the lobby to check out we had to wait for an elevator again to leave the hotel and this was sometimes a lengthy wait of several minutes. Also the mini bar was empty and there was no room service available for food. A little strange but the building is beautiful.
Rooms are very small. Headboard in room was peeling. Towel had hair on it. Bathroom shelf was covered in bits of hair. Cleanliness definitely not up to par. This is really more of a 3 star experience, not 4.
Nice hotel at a good price and walking distance to everywhere you might want to go.
Room was tiny, dark, oddly shaped, old. bathroom was the same. The lobby was a disaster. The furniture looked like it was straight out of Ikea and they stopped building it halfway. The location was great and the room was quite. Beds were fine too. Also the service was pretty awful. Expect to wait in long lines at check in or for questions. If you're traveling for business you might have to call multiple times to get your folio emailed to you (I called 4 and waited on hold for 30 min). I would highly recommend getting a hard copy before you check out, it's not a Marriott.
Small rooms with inappropriate decor. You can opt out of room service for 3 days to take into account the environment, which is a really good mindset, and they say that cleaning is done after the 3 days, but it is not complied with and there is no control over it, and compensation not for this either.
The bathroom is cold in the morning. They have a small elongated table that you can sit at, but just below it there is a fan heater that blows hot air upwards towards the face and you can not place e.g. a laptop on the table as it will get too hot.
Only advantage is that it is located inside the city ....
Very friendly staff! Great room. Excellent bed and super soft sheets. Great history to the hotel with the Tip Top Tap on 23rd floor. Would have been a '5' if elevators faster and bellhop present in entry sooner. I understand elevators are planned for upgrading in next few weeks.
Fyi.. lobby/ bar is on the 2nd floor. Stairs are just to the left when enter on ground level.
Great really nice hotel right in the middle of Downtown close to shops and rail.. only down side rooms are small
Location is prime. Price we found was great. However room was and isn't clean. Restroom is extremely small.
Room was clean but small . The service was good with the exception of the elevators which moved extremely slow.
Very nice. Stayed for one night. Flow to navy pier. Would stay again
It is charged for WiFi and also law drinks that are inside Dr refigiador
The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, and the hotel is in a great location. Valley parking was timely as well.
I just checkin to this hotel after having a long and awful day. Russell was at the front desk. He was awesome! I would absolutely recommend this hotel and stay here again. It was obvious to me that this hotel cares about their customers and goes the extra mile to make your stay pleasant.
Nice rooms in a good location but a little bit tight but the price was great
The check in line was very long. I thought it was a fluke the first time but this is my second visit and it seems like a regular thing. The room was nice but it could really use a microwave or mini fridge.
Location is great. Room is terrific. Comfortable bed anf plenty of room in a king suite. I was surprised by some of the push back we received at the front desk after checking in early. We went to the Bears game. After returning, one of the front desk empmoyees insisted we jad not checked in and gave us some attitude and was not polite. After some elongated discussion, we were checked in and received our keys. Later they called the room and it seemed that they had run our card twice and had 2 rooms. After clarifying the situation, we seem to be all set with the one room. No apology though. Did not hear from management. Also, many glasses and dishes were abandoned in the hallway from flight crews and a wedding who were staying there. Overall, the hotel was fine. The management should work on customer training with front desk staff and ensure the hallways are cleaned up.
Outrageously expensive parking, cramped rooms, few amenities that aren't similarly outrageously priced, constant noise due to sirens and construction. Not the friendliest desk staff either. Also...I had a mysterious $60 charge on my card that apparently is a deposit. Let's hope it doesn't take forever to get it refunded. I won't be staying here again... And perhaps not even Chicago. Home to the rudest people in America.
Great location. Rooms were clean but our room was very small. Smallest hotel double bed I've ever stayed in. There was a fan or something constantly running outside our window on 8th floor and we could hear the ice machine and the bathrooms from the rooms beside us. The staff were not very friendly when we checked in / out. But other passing staff were lovely.
Location was the only positive about this hotel. The staff made you feel like you were bothering them if you had a question. I asked for more coffee, never got it. My daughter & I tried to hang out in the lobby lounge and we're asked to leave because we had "outside' cupcakes. I asked the front desk how I get my parking ticket validated for Spothero, they didn't have a clue what I was talking about & didn't want to hear me either .
I highly DO NOT recommend! There are many other nicer, friendlier places to stay in downtown Chicago
Superb hotel in central Chicago. Great breakfast, lovely historical building. Great scheme to give you $10/day credit for bar, etc for forgoing room cleaning (3 days max). Really nice people. Great great value
Nice hotel if it weren't for the staff trying to rub you anyway
Clean, comfortable and quiet rooms in a convenient central location. Nice views from the upper floors.
Elevators are small, hallways are smaller, room had flies in it, tv remotes didnt work. Charged deposit after being told i wouldnt need to.
A colleague and I booked a room with two queens. They put us in a room with one. When I raised the issue, the manager on duty would not help. She wouldn t even swap us to another queen room capable of holding a roll away. She suggested I sleep on the floor. I showed her my reservation which is in writing from 3 months ago, she still refused to help. They charged me the price of a room with two beds for sleeping on the floor. Worst customer service ever. Initially I was patient, wasting an hour trying to come up with solutions but they offered nothing, that was the room they booked me in and they weren t changing it. Oh, and the WIFI sucks too. I m so disappointed.
Beautiful room, friendly staff, awesome location and views.
I love the rooms. The bed was super comfortable. I loved the view. It would be the best hotel i been in.
It was a good experience with a quaint petite room. A nice view of the historic water tower and the Magnificent Mile .
Very noisy hotel, inside and outside. Doors are banging as the closing mechanism is too powerful. Elevator bell is too loud whenever the elevator stops at your floor. Michigan Ave produces a constant high noise level, as the windows are not isolating enough. Besides the country's latgest hospital is only a block away so the sirens of the ambulance cars are being heard every few minutes...
The worst elevator adjustment I have ever seen. There are 3-4 elevator but it seems only one is working. It takes ages to get to your floor or back.
Putting rating 3. Honestly speaking I expected more. The only one positive thing is location. Everything else is not positive: room size, quolity, annoying laud went fan when turns on when you are turning on light in bathroom (especially when somebody is sleeping). Leaking windows: cold air blower out from them making cold in the room.
Our room was rather small, but very nice. I talked to Alice at the front and she completely took care of us. First time in Chicago and our stay was perfect. Highly recommend you stay here. Location was perfect. In walking distance of everything.
The location is great, right in the middle of the city. The room was very spacious and comfortable. They don't have a fridge you can really use or a microwave. The front desk was very nice and helpful.
Great location, great hotel. Last night was my first time here, and I know I will be coming back, as the pricing was reasonable compared to other options in the area and it's super-close to our office in 444 N Michigan.
Clean, quiet hotel and really well priced. I'll be back when I'm back in town again for business.
Staff is great. Rooms are tiny with low ceilings. The "fitness room" had two treadmills and two bikes. No water, weights or cables.
Double Charged & They are not willing to refund anything. We had a Groupon for our stay. I notified the clerk before checking in that we had a Groupon setup and they took my credit card to make a hold in case of damages.
A week later my bank finalized the charges and I was charged twice. After calling they say I checked in with Groupon and a third party site. After mentioning multiple times to the accountant at the hotel that I only checked into one. They say they can't refund me as I checked in two rooms. Not willing to check into things at all. Unbelievable, I am months from my stay and the bank, groupon, or Warwick has yet to give resolution. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HASSLE. Not to mention overnight parking cost as much as a dinner for 4.
Such a cute retro hotel with a unique vibe! The service was great, as is the location.
