Omg the beer is so good! @ the brewery they have a number of beers that aren't available across Canada as they are small brews only available at the brewery or select locations in halifax & Nova Scotia. The tour price is so worth it with the beer they offer on it. And the tour itself is really good. It offers a lot of insight to the heritage of Halifax and the role Alexander Keith played in it.

So much fun and great tour ! This is one of the greatest beer tours and staple thing to do in the city of hrm! The tour guides are great and there's plenty of opportunities to drink a variety of beer. It's worth the ticket price they also offer military discounts. I'm local and I've done this tour a handful of time and it never gets old !
What a great time! The staff made us feel like we were invited to their party! I visited Nova Scotia to look for a Maritimes feel... and that is exactly what I got! Recommend it to anyone travelling to Halifax.
Excellent people, excellent beer. Took the tour and the tour guides ( I am sure they have other jobs they do there too) were pretty awesome. Very knowledgeable about the history but also beer in general Definitely worth visiting if you are in Halifax!
Pretty solid experience and tour. The building itself is quite beautiful, and they did a great job modernizing it while keeping some of its great history. Less theatrics, and more beers! ;)
Fun for all ages whether you're a beer fanatic or just a kid joining the tour with an adult... Step back in time to see where it all began. Have a pint (or non alcoholic beverage) along your trip back into time
The tour was amazing.. guide was knowledgeable.. Not just a tour but this place certainly of histotical importance as well. We certainly need more people visiting it and witnessing it.. Overall plaza is decent with sufficient seating and space around.. little shops around have nice souvenirs..
Not a big beer drinker but my partner is. Really great tour regardless; the staff/tour guides were excitable and there were lots of interactive stuff on the tour.
You receive a coupon after for a free 4 oz. sample @ the pub (can be used at any point in the day, since lightweights will leave the tour drunk haha)
We had a tour booked for 2:00pm. We got there literally at 2:03pm because of construction in the area and they wouldn't let us join because we were late. I said to the lady that were were only a few minutes late and that I was surprised they wouldn't let us join, her response was "Well you're late so that's not our fault" - I was absolutely shocked by her response. Very unprofessional. Anyways they didn't let us on. So don't be late!
On this day, we did not have time for the tour, but stopped in at the rooftop patio to order flight samples to share. We sat for about 7 minutes in the almost deserted patio before a waitress acknowledged us and brought over a menu. She told us another waitress would be our server. We sat about another 5 minutes before the other waitress approached us. All the while, the first waitress and bar tender chatted at the bar. When trying to give our order for the six small taster flights, our waitress kept interrupting. We got the order in and then after a few minutes we watched the bar tender pour the one flight with 3 beers, which remained on the bar while the staff chatted. Five minutes passed and then our waitress disappeared. We wondered if we were supposed to go and get the order ourselves, but decided to wait. I should point out that at the time, there were only 6 customers, including us, in the establishment and the 3 staff. Out of curiosity, I had set a timer to see how long it would take to receive our order after putting it in. After 12 minutes, 7 of which was watching the first flight sitting at the bar while the staff talked, we decided enough was enough and decided to leave. As we descended the stairs, we ran into our waitress, who asked us what was going on and told us she had to get two of the samples from downstairs. We told her that she could have told us this instead of making us wait, especially since the one flight with the three tasters had been sitting on the bar for many minutes, getting warm. In total, we were in the patio for over 30 minutes and no product delivered in that time and with a ratio of two customers for each one staff. I would not go there again. I had heard the tour was good and may have considered returning for it on another day if this experience was better. This was the worst service we have ever had in our lives. One star is too much.
My boyfriend and I went in for the last tour on a Wednesday and it was just the two of us, which in thr beginning, seemed like it might be weird. Buuut... It was a lot of fun. Don't expect the typical brew tour, its an experience with some good beer and history. Only complaint was not getting a taster cup at the beginning to enjoy throughout. They sit you at a table in the beginning of the tour where I feel we shoulda got a taster. Still... It was a lot of fun! Finally felt like I got that historical celtic/nova scotian experience!!!
