one of the best museums in Vienna. came to the exhibition of Impressionists, Monet, a private collection (including the work of Picasso, Munch, Malevich) and modern art. The museum is just huge, a lot of halls. Plus there's always a line, so it's worth planning for a visit more time

The Albertina Art Museum of World Heritage is located in the building of the palace of the son of King of Poland August III - Archduke Albert of Saxe-Teschensky, from which he inherited his name on July 4, 1776.

Collections of the graphics of the museum, beginning with the period of late Gothic, are rightly considered to be one of the largest in the world.

At the same time, Albertina never ceases to please connoisseurs of art with frequent collections of outstanding imperishable masters of painting and sculpture.

Great museum of modern art. The new Durer exhibition is amazing! It definitely must see. About 9 large rooms with painting, drawings and sketches. The museum stuff is very kind and pleasant. But book your tickets online, otherwise you will wait in a long queue.

Gallery itself was outstanding, a must if you're in Vienna. However, we queued in the snow for about an hour. Surely this could be better managed? The cafe was also thoroughly disappointing; long queues, poor service, high prices. By the time we left the gallery exhausted, hungry and thirsty because of the lack of choice of catering. Shame because the gallery itself was glorious.

I think the next time I will get there, as this time (03.01.19r.) Standing in line for almost an hour, freezing like a dog and moving just 3 meters, I realized that it is not necessary to spend time in Vienna on the queue!

Wonderful Museum with many interesting galeries, classic to modern, Briegel to Warhol. Not a massive Museum, nor very small either, it's sort of like the Goldilocks of museums; it's just right! Wonderful evening concerts as well, if visiting Vienna something I encourage looking into. Additionally, very nice 5 Euro ($5.50 usd) posters as superb keepsakes or gifts. That is if you don't mind boarding a flight with many rolled up tubes of posters. Ehhh, there are worse things...

Because you can't take any pictures in the Hofburg and Schonbrunn Palaces, it was a relief to see we wouldn't leave our midweek getaway without any pictures. The Stately rooms on the top floor rival those in the Palaces, but you get some awesome art to inspire you as well. When you enter the building you are first greeted by a paid cloakroom, but I would recommend getting a free (just need a suitable coin) locker downstairs instead (just walk down the hallway towards admission and turn right at the end). Do note you can not take pictures of their main collection (the Van Goghs and Monets, etc.).

Passage from modern painting to contemporary paint...

Passage from modern painting to contemporary painting thanks to a subtle hanging. Major works of minor painters as their work has suffered from their multiple aberrations. A salvific rediscovery for some.

My experience here wasn't particularly positive. Queues are long, chaotic, and poorly signposted - at one point there were two simultaneous queues to get in and only when we got near the front did we find out that one was for those who had purchased advance tickets. Fortunately we picked the correct one in this case, but others weren't so lucky and ended up being sent to the back of the alternate queue.

Once inside the chaos is further exacerbated by masses of people all pushing in different directions to get to the cloakrooms. Given that most of this takes place on a staircase it seemed miraculous to me that someone hadn't been injured. With all the pushing and shoving, it all felt more like a moshpit than a queue to hang your coat. As you are forbidden from entering the gallery with coats you can more or less forget about avoiding this experience during the colder months.

Once inside the gallery proper, certain exhibits were utterly rammed with jostling tourists, and with the now characteristic absence of any crowd control it was generally an claustrophobic and unpleasant experience.

Overall not a great experience and will be highly unlikely to visit again when I'm next in town. Unless you're a keen art fanatic I'd recommend avoiding this particular attraction.

Beautifully renovated building, well-made exhibitions. - For a short visit unfortunately a little expensive, because you only get tickets for all exhibitions. - Security staff a bit loud and unprofessional.

This was by far my favorite Art Museum in Vienna. The Building's interior is worth the price of admission on it's own, but the Art on display is also well organized, fascinating to see and the stories of their acquisition was very interesting. There are many opportunities to sit which was a real plus for me. It's fabulous. if you don't go to any others, don't miss this one.

It will be good to see what kind of exhibition is held during the trip. When I went in summer, I remember that the works of master artists from Monet to Picasso were literally hanging on every room, so I was happy to have snow. Famous rabbit paintings are located in a small area, It is recommended to go. If you are interested in seeing the exhibits, you have to go!
