Although the museum of art history is the main museum of Vienna, it is worth spending a few hours at Albertina. The museum has contemporary art at the basement, various exhibitions on the ground - when I was the era of photographic art, and the 1st and 2nd floors are extraordinary and I can thank art lovers as demanding as: paintings, drawings and drawings by Durer, Rubens, Michelangelo, Rembrandt, Monet, Picasso, musical room, auditorium. Not for nothing, there are almost 1 million tourists annually.

The museum offers several great painters and is easily reachable through public transport. But two points were negative. First the locker for jackets has to be paid for and is in front of self service lockers but no sign indicates that. More

Had a lovely couple of hours wandering round this art gallery. The art was mostly modern from Picasso, Monet and Siserley through to tricolour industrial interpretations. We really enjoyed the space and the well thought out themes.
Bonus was the state rooms showing the 17th century decor and beautiful flooring.
Well worth a visit.

One of the charming museums of Vienna. Its characteristic architecture, the atmosphere of sophisticated art and history, the excellently arranged expositions leave you breathless. One of the advantages of this museum is that it is open until late in the evening, from the terrace there is a nice view of the whole square and the evening lights are impressive.

For fans of art, this is a mandatory puntk in Vienna. Very interesting exhibitions where you can admire the art of the most famous painters in the world. You can find there gems, for me, for example, one Degas painting, which I adore. The rooms in this museum are not as overwhelmingly large as in the Museum of Art History right next to it, so people feel more at ease. Of these two, I certainly recommend Albertine more. The admission ticket is not cheap because 16 eur per adult, but in my opinion it is worth it.

Very interesting, we also went on Wednesdays and every Wednesday in the summer months from 6pm to 11pm they celebrate on the terrace where they set up bars and DJs play. Leaving the museum with such a good taste in your mouth and discovering the party that awaited us outside was a pleasant surprise.

The great pictures of well-known artists were excellently described and conveyed extensive background knowledge

It has the best collection of drawings in the world ... but they don't expose them. You pay the entrance, you look inside, you see that there are palatial rooms, an exhibition of Chagall and Picasso ... and not a single drawing. You go down to protest and they tell you that it is your problem. You ask for your money back and they tell you that you have been half an hour inside, that it feels. A scam.

Currently on exhibit From Monet to Picasso exhibition is very well worth visiting. Detailed explanations of art movements, historical events, descriptions of paintings. Enjoyed it a great deal!
The other exhibitions were not something that interested me at all, so i cannot comment.

A museum worth recommending, a very rich collection of works of art. Viewed by me in terms of working with children and the way they are interested in their art. I highly recommend not only for big ones, but also for small ones :-)

Must!

No evaluation of the exhibition but of the trappings. Control system at the entrance meaningless. Inside you should first buy a ticket then go back to the wardrobe. The paths of the visitors intersect. What is that supposed to help? Access to the cloakroom with barrier severely narrowed - why? Cloakroom duty but this must be paid extra - why?
As a result, there are a few dividing bands that are not consistently used and marked again meaningless.
Hardly find any orientation plans, in the basement no indication of the elevator just a door with many dramatic switches and lights.
An organizational disaster.

The museum is great. There are always special world-class exhibitions here. However, you often have to put up with long queues when buying a ticket. If you book tickets online, you cannot book a tour. The information desk is not helpful and wants to queue up for the tour tickets. Very inflexible and unfriendly to visitors. It could be improved here.
