Stendhal syndrome

Stendhal syndrome
A journey into the history of art.
Walking around the Albertina museum is like walking through a book of art history, at the end of each room you are convinced that nothing can ever surprise you, only to find another unexpected picture or author in the next.

More than this list I don't think we can say more in a review, if you happen to be in Vienna it must be a stop to make.

A ticket price of 12 absolutely pays off! For the money you can touch the beautiful. The majestic exterior harmonizes perfectly with the interior. The employees here are the most sensitive and sociable professionals in their field!
And, for super-budget travelers, I can inform you that there is a free restroom on the ground floor. :)

We went to "from monet to Picasso" and we were thinking how expensive this art collection can be!! Because there were big pieces from big artists all over... In what time ppl think of as golden era... This is definitely worth the visit.. The museum architecture itself is good to check out too

They are very picky about the dress code here but if you can make it past the entrance, the world really opens up in a new way to you. I saw originals I would not have expected to see as well as discovered new artists for myself. I am still fascinated by the "Twilight Song" by Franz Sedlacek.

We were at many exhibitions. It was very badly organized. Everyone could come in with a ticket, no staffing limit. Consequently, there was a crowding that there was no air in the room and it was unbeatable for the crowd. In other rooms, the situation was good and the institution itself was nice.

It was a very good museum, but it was a tiring visit because it had so many works to see either you were passing it faster, so you did not enjoy it, or you were passing it slower and had a lot of time.

Fantastic building in classical style in a great location in the 1st district with extensive collection of the most famous painters such as Monet, Rubens, Picasso etc. In addition, one can still see how royally the Habsburgs lived.

You may think that you're coming here for Picasso and other artists from back in the day but Albertina is trying to push contemporary art from the 2000s. I had no idea the amount of space they allocated for new stuff was so large.

Nice little museum. Not tiny, but not huge. Took us about two and a half hours to go around. The state rooms are nice, quite impressive. Visited while the exhibitions were "Monet to Picasso" and "Viennese watercolor". Both were relatively rich in pieces, well presented and with interesting documentation. The augmented reality app was fun but tends to make people stand in front of paintings a little differently than they normally do, tiny bit annoying at times.

Albertina is a nice neighborhood with the Volksoper and a very good train connection. There are numerous national and international local on-site for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Here, in my view, there is something for everyone.

Former Habsburg Palace, there are permanent and temporary exhibitions. It is a bit of a mess to see everything, it takes a long time if you are a great art lover. The ground floor and basement are usually for temporary exhibitions. The royal rooms are beautiful. The price is 16 but with the Vienna Pass card admission is free and you don't have to wait for the big queues that form.

This is an absolutely fantastic museum of modern art! Must see if you are interested at all! The main collection on the top floor contains famous impressionists, fauvists, new realists, really amazing. Every painting well documented, well lighted, and you can take as many pictures as you like.
