Absolutely the WORST organised museum I've ever seen!
Bought the tickets online, did not have a backpack, still had to queue three (3!!) times. Once to get in the museum building (the queue for people with tickets), second for the wardrobe (compulsory and costs 2 euro per person), and third inside the museum, to be allowed in the exhibition rooms. Roughly 45 minutes of queuing, all in all. The staff has no idea what is going on.
Atrocious, avoid if you value your time -- the works on display are not worth this kind of time waste and bad organisation that any museum worth its salt handles much better.

Utter waste of time. Half the gallery was closed. Far overpriced. Entirely abstract art. Debatable if any of the artists used a brush finer than their finger. Some admitted to painting in the dark. Highly recommend you spend your time convincing people to not go in to the gallery instead.

Fantastic place for art lovers, however, choose a good time. The Monet exhibition is awesome, but for me it was completely destroyed by a sheer volume of people. Albertina's staff should consider hour tickets, because there is no pleasure at all squeezing with hundreds of people and finding a spot to read about the painting. Other than that, very nice!

We were lured in by the promise of a Monet - Picasso exhibition, but there were only 3 Monets vs a dozen or so Picasso's. The posters of the exhibition featured a Monet, so that was a bit misleading. The rest of the museum wasn't as interesting to us, because we don't much care for more contemporary art, but that's just a personal preference.

A museum that, in addition to exhibiting great works, welcomes the stays of a palace in such perfect condition that it seems that you have gone from today to suddenly be in the years of Empress Sisi

The composition of the exhibition was really structured and good. The exhibition route and the space are also excellent. If you go to Vienna, you must see it here. I am grateful to appreciate the wonderful exhibition. I highly recommend it ^^

Pretty nice museum. I hit Raphael. He is divine. Permanent exposure is not particularly impressed. The cafe serves strudel from Demel. Strudel was on top. Present. In order not to stand in line at the famous confectionery, it is better to combine the pleasure of fine and confectionery art in one place. Have a nice walk in Vienna!

Great!

Great museum!

I always like to go back!
The exhibitions are really interesting and with one ticket you can go in and out all day.

Go as earlier as possible. The museum opens at 10am. Or go later, because they close at 9pm!!
The museum is awesome, I visited the Monet exhibition, congratulations for the accomplishment to get so many special Monet arts.
Things that I believe that could be better for all of us:
1. The museum needs more exit signals in order to orient people to walk around check MOMA as an example, all the rooms are well signalized with exit lights.
2. Some information about Georg Baselitz art works was missing. Please, check if it is possible.
3. The museum store was full with massive manufactured products, with the focus on sell stuffs to crazy tourist instead of thing about support new and local artists. It would be more productive and better to the market if the museum starts to sell designs, arts and products from new and/or local artists. Or maybe stuffs by institutions supported by the artists with running exhibitions. For instance: Andy Warhol institute, they have awesome products to support the Andy Warhol legacy and influence until today. It s possible to have a better museum store, not like a massive tourist store.

One of Vienna's most important museums. Historical and modern in collections and temporary exhibitions. The modern operation has also invested a lot in terms of construction. That's probably why the tickets are not cheap. Nevertheless - go. Watch. Enjoy.

Very fascinating museum to visit. Includes numerous plans with different types of exposures. Of note, the exhibition that goes from the Impressionists to Picasso .. has a shop and the ticket price is not excessive. If you are under 19, entry is free. Under 26 years and over 65 costs 11 euros .. full price entry is 16 euros. However, there are numerous offers depending on age group and group.

At the end of two weeks touring Vienna, we almost passed the Albertina over. So glad we didn t! The building itself is a marvel, with exquisite displays of the staterooms from the times of the Hapsburgs (lots of baroque/rococo). The Gallery displays are done in a very efficient and informative way that takes you through the best of art styles in a perfect progression of periods. Even the lighting of the painting is well thought out, making them even more lustrous.

Great fine art museum - rock solid collection of modern artists including those internationally famous ones plus Austrian artists that may be lesser known internationally. Museum is quite large and they can have two or three special exhibitions at the same time, at no additional charge.

Super!

I have a hard time reviewing this. Museum is nice, their permanent samlung collection is excellent, temporary depends...I have been a "freunde"(member),for the last year, visiting the museum often. The staff is unkind and they often treat visitors like they will steal sth. The collections are ok, state offices are whatever- a lot of images in there are just copies(we might steal)the real thing, the money expo was amazing(already done),current scully nice(but not very popular),photo book art is a skip, unless you are in the field. I will not be renewing my membership for the general atmosphere-every single clerk,seriously...disappointment and disgrace. Art is to inspire everyone...yet even they don't look to be even remotely content...

Great museum with an impressive collection of memorable artwork through the centuries. During my visit, there was an amazing exhibition on Keith Haring. The permanent collection includes works from Michelangelo to Picasso. A must see during a visit to Vienna!

A magnificent gallery with many paintings by the greatest artists. There are different genres, from realism to surrealism. At the entrance, they handed over a backpack to the booth, then the coin returns. We did not have a 1 coin, we asked at the checkout and we were given a plastic one.
