Very good museum with interesting temporary exhibitions

The Albertina has long been our favorite museum, but recently something has changed. Most recently, among other things, we were at the Monet exhibition, where unnecessarily small and small captions were placed on large paintings, and the rope cordon was too close to the pictures. Because of this, the crowd stands quite close in front of the pictures to read captions, take photos of the work, and self-film with Monet s painting. Why are they leaving this and why are so many people being allowed in at once? It used to be forbidden to take photos and they immediately spoke for him.
Because of the above, the Monet exhibition was unenjoyable.
An exhibition of compensated Helen Levitt's brilliant photos, which the crowd was not interested in and you can safely admire by staring at one photo at a time.
The latest craze is that people under the age of 19 can go in for free. Yet why? To have even more distractions?

I'm not the art connoisseur but I found it very interesting.

Very interesting gallery. Particularly worth seeing in particular the paintings, which are to be seen in addition to Monet and Picasso and this z.T. eclipse.

The Viennese watercolors exhibition was the finest. We can be proud to own such art treasures. Our art exhibitions are of a very high standard.

Excellent exhibitions. The Hapsburg apartments were stunning. Lovely water color paintings showing the interiors of Viennese palaces and the Alps were also on display. All well organized.

Superbe art collection. A must for each of our visits.

Like all buildings, it is beautiful, just look at the outside, it is not worth going inside

In front of the entrance to the Albertina is a large terrace with a view of the opera.
Behind it is the beer garden and in front of it the city center.
The Albertina itself has great exhibitions and an art breakfast in the Albertina (first having a delicious breakfast and then a guided tour) is a very nice program

Vienna has a lot of art and history to offer, and I find this modern museum a little lacking - in size and in exhibits.

When you see the names of Monet, Picasso and Rubens outside the gallery, you will definitely want to walk in and take a turn. But in Albertina, I met Bruegel, a painter with a sense of humor.

Impressive architecture, great exhibitions and definitely worth a visit! Despite the somewhat expensive entry of 16 . For the poor students "only" 11 .

Very nice museum right in the centre on Vienna. I saw two exhibitions there: "Keith Harring" and "Watercolour in Vienna", both fantastic. The museum shop is very nice as well, and there are free lockers, but the "cafe" is more of a restaurant and won't sell you a bottle of water unless you're seated.

Now a very good selection of the beginning of the 20th century

Wonderful building, great exhibition, everything was great organized. The entrance fee is justified.
Escalator and many lifts available, also suitable for wheelchair users

I was there for the Long Night of the Museums and it was definitely worth a visit. Alone because of the Monet exhibition.

For friends of the "fine arts" a must! Reserve a ticket on the Internet makes sense to save waiting at the ticket office!

Is there a night view to follow Albertina's emotion in Vienna?
The night view of Albertina is beautiful, but the surroundings are pretty.

A fantastic corner of culture and entertainment. The exhibition visited with great commitment and very comprehensive paintings the works of Durer. Well organized and easy to consult environment.

For art lovers a must. It's great to stand in front of various originals.

Nice rotations of contemporary artists and a great flow allowing you to scan and move if a set of works does not float your boat. Make sure you see the Cloakroom Exhibit. It s a collection of coats and garments from all over the world.

Highly recommend a visit here and give yourself at least half a day to explore it all.

Nice museum, smaller and easy to see all the exibits

Free admission for students combined with beautiful artworks makes a visit worthwhile.

I highly recommend the exhibition Claude Monet. Although many visitors are there, it is possible to see the wonderful works of art.

Magnificent gallery, but neither the escalator nor the elevator worked

Fantastic museum for those who appreciate painting and some sculpture. Here you can find the works of many painters, from Raphael to Pikasso and Kiefer in addition to a contemporary arts section and some sculpture.

A great museum with magnificent facilities. A pity that the entrance is expensive. Art should be closer to the town.

This is a nice museum but it is not as nice as some of the other museums in Vienna. It is close to the opera house which means it is a short walk to get there rather than a drive or bus ride.

The place where I took the sunset .. Atmosphere Coo ... Come on!

It was great. One floor has rooms done up in the style they may have been when it was a palace. Another floor had traditional well known works of art from people like picasso and monet. And another had an extensive collection of kieth hering work

We have visited the Monet exhibition, and this was very beautiful. A good, balanced collection with a lot of information. An excellent opportunity to view monet's water lilies.

Quite peculiar, for an amateur. Durer's hare is a complete divorce.

Classic art museum that includes historic royal apartments. Very crowded during the holiday break. Note that coat check is required.

Right now the best time to look at the unique pictures in a very relaxed and absolute calm. Little visitors due to Covid19.

Interesting museum a stone's throw from the center, two hours were enough to visit it all

Very nice Monet exhibition. A lot of beautiful peints from all the different Monet's periods. Good explanation near each picture. Too many people in the same time. Worth to visit it!
