Probably the best art museum in Europe.at least from the ones that i have seen yet.
We were there during the Monet exhibit!! The collection was amazing. Several other floors comprised of rooms in there near original state, Picasso, Chagall, Michelangelo other Renaissance painters plus a contemporary art display.
The Albertina is top, too bad in the museum shop then the joy abruptly, because a most unfriendly employee has no desire to help customers to find the desired. If you are so annoyed and have no desire for customers, you should not work there. Incidentally, this is within 3 weeks me and a friend so fared.
Must see place if you are interested about the history.
We have seen extraordinary paintings at an acceptable price.
It is a magnificent building, where the royal library is located in Austria
Not to be missed! In addition to the building, the exhibitions are also interesting
Excellent and impressive museum. Take your time here.
An amazing art museum. The first floor has varying exhibits, actually I fell for an exhibition not to say the least. The museum has paintings by Piaxo, Chagall, Monet and others .. Please note prices: An adult ticket costs 16 but a young adult up to the age of 26, costs 11 . Also, the entrance has a cool umbrella facility that I haven't seen anywhere else (video and photo attachment)
One of the best Museums in Europe with works by great Painters such as Picasso, Durer, schiele, etc and with exceptional periodical exhibitions such as the New York photographer Helen Levitt
When I went there, they had an exhibition called "monet bis picasso". It was wonderful! Some of the more modern art seem to be a joke though.
The collection is really good and the Albertina is well worth a visit.
At the same time there was also an exhibition by Keith Haring. You might as well have hung up a few Mickey Mouse pictures there. The artistic and curatorial genius behind it would have been the same.
one of the most refined collections of art in the world
The idiots were too overwhelmed to properly coordinate crowds
Great museum with grandiose works of great artists. The entrance fee, I think a bit high. Maybe you can correct this a bit down. Overall, the Albertina is highly recommended.
Habsburg's only female ruler Maria Theresia's favorite daughter lived
Albertina is a Spanish apartment named after the king of Spain, Leonardo da Vinci and Klimt's graphic exhibition, and the current Munch exhibition that changes with the season, including many impressionists such as Monet and Picasso There are 5 venues, including an exhibition with a lot to see. The shop is also open and is open until 21:00 on Wednesdays. Don't forget to take photos of the Opera and Royal Palace from above.
It was good but 2nd floor was in construction till mid February
Great place for art. Beautiful building. Different exhibitions with one ticket
way too many people in the Keith Haring exhibition at the end of school :-(
A nice collection of the paintings. But an even better terrace which provides an unrivalled view of the 1st district of Vienna - the Opera house backside, cafe Mozart etc. I went there by the electric 2A bus from Schwedenplatz. This ride itself is a tour on its own as it passes through several historical buildings of central Vienna. And while you are at Albertina, do have a look at the 16th century paintings in the state room. The hare sculpture outside Albertina resembles the painting "Feld Hase" from 1503!
One place for many great artists. Different styles, genres and arts blend together in perfect union. Price not excessive for the quality offered
I came across two excellent exhibitions. I would recommend!
Fascinating museum with some extra ordinary paintings, all situated in a palace that belonged to the Hofburg palace, arranged for the Conde de Tarouca, a portuguese diplomat very much respected by Queen Maria Teresa.
A brilliant collection of paintings from the first half of the 20th century.
Incredible place with many beautiful and famous works
Perfectly arranged and presented originals of a variety of artistic styles. Wonderful work, well coordinated. Time and again special exhibitions. Cafe is also recommended.
Monet, Picasso exhibition was held in 18. It was great to see works by artists such as Andy Warhol and Egon Sile.
Whoever does not have time for the Albertina when visiting the federal capital is to blame. It is very impressive to admire these great works of art.
Was on Fri 28.12.2018 at 17 clock in the Monet exhibition. Despite huge rush this was mastered by a great organization of albertina great. In addition, you could buy tickets locally. Very customer friendly.
A very impressive building, some of the exhibits disappointing, some very impressive. We especially liked the downstairs of the permanent exhibit.
Absolutely not to be missed, excellent location for other tours, opera, parliament ... but it takes time to visit the knterno ... wow
Huge art collection with exciting period exhibitions. Beautifully renovated building interior and surroundings.
The do & co restaurant is excellent, in the garden the view over the castle garden !!
This is a treasure box! I loved exploring the exhibitions. It is well organized. Also check out the exhibition posters.
We were here for one of the best exposure, the 'Monet to Picasso'. They are already famous painters, so I'm not gonna describe them, but ad you can imagine, it was really fantastic.
This was our first chance to see them at exhibitions, but the place was OK, stuffs too.
As we were foreigners, they kindly get us to know every detail as well.
We got one 'headphone', which task is to describe several but Not All! the pictures, so there were interesting parts as well, and for a low, 4 cost is it good to have at least one!
Bring headphones, because they didn't told us that part...
The largest graphic collection in the world. May not be missing at any Vienna vacation. An absolute must
Beautiful museum on 4 levels
We were there on the national holiday - free entry Recommendation: be there 10 minutes before the start
It was so interesting that I almost forgot time. If you want to watch and understand the pictures with Audioguide, around more than 3 hours are needed.
One of the best Museums I have ever been to. Actually it is true conglomerate of art institutions:
1. Lavish and elegant neoclassical state rooms. Silent music is playing as background - how cool is that?!
2. Baltiner Collection - modern art from Monet and post impressionism through german Expressionism up to Magritte and Delvaux Surrealism.
3. Always some interesting temporary drawning/graphics or photography exhibition (Albertins is biggest graphic collection in the whole world).
4. Always some temporary exhibition from contemporary art: a lot of splashes, colours and surprises.
5. great shop with full of useful, clever gifts and arty stuff plus nice selection of books.
You also get beautiful view at the Opera and neighbourhood.
Atmosphere inside Albertina is one of a kind, stuff is smiling and very cool. It is truly fest of art! I visited this wonderful place 12 times and I will come back again once I am again in Wien for sure! I recommended it to all art lovers!
Always worth a visit. Also offers specials more often. The exhibitions extend over several floors, time should be taken accordingly
Very nice museum with exhibitions by Monet and Picasso. In addition, very magnificent halls
Outstanding art collections. Ability to take photos. Souvenir shop +1
One of the most beautiful museums I have visited. Klimt and Schiele not to be missed!
