Albert of Saxony married the favorite daughter of Empress Theresia and had this city temple built. The magnificent halls can still be walked through today and you feel transported back to the 16th century, and there are also constantly changing great exhibitions
One of the best museums in Vienna for mainly modern art in terms of drawings and painting it has a lot of masterpieces including Picasso, Matisse and Klimt. It's well worth the money and you can spend hours here I was really impressed.
Unfortunately I like old buildings more than old pictures. Great for people with a penchant for art
Impressive, very interesting, many originals of famous paintings, as well as halls of modern art.
At the third visit to Vienna the other day, we finally made it to the Albertina: Good!
The Batliner Collection is really worth seeing! But the lender must have been quite a crook, because only as a lawyer you can not (am) accumulate such treasures. But that does not bother the art-minded - not even his dubious role in Kohl's donation affair.
Absolutely worthwhile - and initially underestimated by us - the Nitsch show in basement accessed by escalator. Most beautiful ticket breaker ever.
Nice building with a charming museum restaurant.
Art connoisseurs starting with artists and lay people like me come into their own. We were kidnapped with a younger daughter. Not far from metro.Vsetko you have described in English or German.Only what bothered me that did not go elevators. Next to Motyli house.
Very great and huge, definitely have several hours in the budget with you in case))
A wonderful collection of brilliant artists! Must see!
The queue in the cash register was defended, then it was necessary to defend the queue in the wardrobe, the queue there moved very slowly, the cloakroom attendants worked very leisurely; fee - 1 euro, managed to lose the hat with a scarf (found a hat); there are still paid safes for clothes, but they are always almost full. They took an auto prompter for 4 euros. The museum itself liked it, but the organization of services is very lame.
The current Schiele exhibition is insanely informative.
A true highlight of Vienna. It is unmissable. You will not like everything, but there truly is something for everyone.
Nice and tidy museum, the direction in the place is a bit confusing, after we left we found that we missed an entire area that we regretted visiting (part of the original palace).
At the entrance a long and threatening queue but flowed fast
Roll yourself a '' small '' and enjoy the view of the Vienna State Opera.
Excellent exhibitions, doing it with the audio guide is highly recommended
The Albertina is a beautiful palace built by the Empress Maria Theresa in 1744 and has today found its function as an art museum with changing exhibitions. At the moment there is a fantastic exhibition of the impressionist Claude Monet. Absolutely a must for culture lovers !! To kneel down !!
Oh, this museum is one of the best in the world. There is nothing to complain about. So beautifully curated exhibitions! And there are always new sensations. And with 5 or 6 simultaneous exhibitions should be something for everyone. At the price of 17.5 euros you do not go wrong.
Visited the Albertina during an exhibition of Monet and Picasso, but there were so many other Paintings on display from the Classical Era as well as several great Austrian artists.
While you are there, take a look at the State Rooms. They will amaze you. It's easy to think about the Albertina as a Paintings musuem, but it's not. Plan to spend about 3 hours there then enjoy the Cafe. Herrengasse Train Station is close by.
Crowds of people everywhere, queues in the dressing room, on the toilet.
Wonderful exhibition. Every new one is a highlight in itself.
I was very impressed! We were there with our children (10 + 6) and they were also thrilled.
Lots of art works to see from different artists. Got to see the works of Van Gogh. Very good display of Pointillism art including Seurat,Signac. Obviously no photos allowed in the art museum. It took us close to two hours to just check out one floor and we are not even thorough art enthusiasts. I am sure true art lovers will enjoy these displays very much.
Always worth a visit clean toilet nice staff and interesting exhibition
An awesome place of art collections. A must to visit in Vienna. BUT a bit some staffs talk in a rude way.
Beautiful museum. Very large collection with works by many important twentieth century authors. In addition to the main collection, there is a photographic exhibition and an exhibition of modern art
Absolutely perfect exposure ...
Just suggesting a special training room at the entrance to Albertina for visitors of Russian nationality where they would learn decent behavior ...
Very nice museum. Normally I find the temporary exhibitions are excellent!
A country that has a sense of service. A magnificent museum, expo galore. Multilingual welcome and with the smile of the security guards through the locker room and of course the friendly guardians.
The Batliner Collection is always worth seeing. Absolutely in the cellar to Nitsch.
always great exhibitions, until June 24th 2018 Keith Haring, The Alphabet very worth seeing
Great art masterpieces in a wonderful historic building. If you are interested in viewing Picasso, Monet etc this place is a must. Don't forget to visit also the 1st floor with paintings of Michelangelo, Raphael.....
The magnificent palace is a museum with a collection of paintings, this time there was an exhibition of Raphael and a permanent exhibition of the impressionists. Luxurious palace apartments in a separate wing. For lovers of beauty is certainly interesting.
Incredible watercolors, you have to take a magnifying glass to see the magnificent details, and what about the impressionists, what has not been said? And Picaso, a God. You can't miss it
I love it, I don't understand why Google didn't recommend me to go there. I found it by chance.
The permanent collection is very nice and the changing exhibitions are always worth a visit!
Very beautiful museum, also the works on display are of great interest and value
A very large and varied museum. I recommend to all those who decide to visit vienna, to buy the vienna pass .... You can get free almost anywhere and without having to queue up. You can also buy online and download the application directly on your smartphone. then show the barcode to get free access
The smallest of Vienna's art museums, but my fave, because of the smartly currated exhibitions. Last summer I went to 'Monet bis Picasso' there and it was a blissful experience! Very cosy and bright palace!
Wonderful building, beautifully restored state rooms on the 1st floor with an interesting art exhibition. Well air conditioned. No mask requirement. Whoops! We'd love to come back!
For me the best museum in Vienna with a permanent exhibition of Expressionist and Cubist impressionists there was also a temporary exhibition with works by Claude Monet a marvel
A place of superlatives! Wonderful state rooms and very nice, changing exhibitions! View of State Opera and legendary Sacher.
Thanks to the vienna pass no long hitch at the ticket counter and the pictures were very nice
Visited the Keith Hering and Monet to Picasso exhibitions. Both worth seeing. Love the vibrant colours of the Hering & the chronological survey of the other exhibition, often juxtaposing painting of completely different styles together.
Great selections of renowned artists, classic to modern.
They have 60,000--60,000!--old master drawings at this museum, and not a single one of them is on display. The place is a dumb-downed waste of space. Skip it and spend the extra time at the nearby Kunsthistorisches Museum, one of the greatest in the world.
A very modern museum. It is good to go to the Albertina but I find the Leopold Museum and the KHM much better.
Museum where there are works by Rubens Picasso and other artists of various nationalities ..... pleasant enough to turn and admire .... if you come to Vienna, it is certainly worth visiting
