When I landed everything was fine until I had to take my flight to Houston the feds were very rude and the prices inside the airport are very expensive and the waiting chairs are very uncomfortable I do not recommend going through that place

Terminal 2, although modern, has many problems, it is sinking and the roundabout to enter is a big mistake, I do not know who thinks of making a roundabout where the entrance and exit traffic joins and they still honor the flag

Very clean airport. This airport is a huge place. There's plenty of staff all around to help you with any information you need. There is a variety of restaurants and gift shops available throughout the entire airport.

I'm not sure about other people's experience but our flight was delayed for 9 hours and the airport was so crowded that we had to sleep on the floor and take turns watching the luggage so it didn't get taken, once again, I'm not saying that it isn't a terrible place overall but my family and I did have a pretty crappy experience here

Quite a sprawling place. Mix of newish and "please tear it down" old parts. Business lounges (at least the one that Lufthansa uses) has the flair of a canteen.... Oh well. Many small duty free shops.

You will struggle to find a worse airport for a major metropolitan area. It is a shame that this is the first and last image that people see when they travel to Mexico. Delays are rampant, basic information on gates and flights is not reliable and infrastructure is literally falling apart (sinking unevenly into ground). It is a sad reflection of Mexico s public sector.

A little confusing airport with two separate terminal buildings. Instructions are not very clear. If you have to switch terminals, there is not any kind of indication where you should head. I never found the tram which transports people between T1 and T2 and I had to take a bus, which cost 30 pesos. Personnel spoke good English, so I was able to get some instructions from them. 3 hours for a connectioin is a bare minimum for this airport, especially if you are coming to MEX airport for first time.

People are super friendly, but that doesn't make up for the poor planning. Try to avoid needing to use a restroom, there are very few of them and the lines are huge.
Don't buy water from the small shops that don't show the price, they charge you about 12 times the supermarket price and the small cafes sell it for half the price.

Reviewing Terminal 1: (Aeromexico's Terminal 2 is a completely different story... 4.5 stars). This terminal is a complete mess. Terrible signage, last minute gate changes almost every flight, late gate assignment, sometimes no gate assignment, 1km walks while not even sure if you're heading in the right direction(cause remember sometime they don't bother with assigning a gate). They force you out of security after customs for connecting flights... especially fun when traveling with kids, yay for security again! I've grown up flying all over the world almost every year for 29 years as a missionary kid and now missionary. I don't like to fuss over too much on the internet but this place really needs to change and I hope the new airport has completely new management. p.s. I'm not a gringo tourist... I'm fluent in Spanish and have lived in Mexico for 5 1/2 years.

Never ever go through Mexico City to go somewhere else!!!! No easy transfer. Now you must go through immigration, get luggage and then recheck the luggage. We spent over 2 hours waiting in immigration line. Almost missed our connecting flight. Coming from USA is even worse. You can only check bags to Mexico city. Have to back upstairs and recheck them like you were on Mexico City

Ok

Bad signage, on national exits staircase 1. I went down to the bathroom already inside the boarding room and the guards let me out again to the security filters that because I could not return through that same place. Someone in a hurry would have missed his flight. Check the signage and do not waste time or money.

Good airport with almost all the necessary services. Only somewhat deficient in hygiene and sanitation measures in times of pandemic.
(They ask you to fill out a form, but it is personal, you never deliver it to any instance or review what you have put in it; it makes no sense to fill it out).

It cannot be said that the toilets are clean, but it is not a problem of the frequency of cleaning but of the people who use them, as they do not have the education to pour water on their needs or to wash their hands without splashing water everywhere. Nor can it be said that the staff is characterized by their servility and friendliness. The food offer is regular. The worrying thing is that in the midst of a pandemic there is not a single gel dispenser or some way to disinfect your hands by passing the safety filter, in which you are forced to touch the trays that have been touched by many more hands. The same is true in other sections.

It has very old facilities, a women's bathroom for many rooms, where there are about 200 people per room. In addition to useless bathrooms. The very small corridor to travel between passenger cars and people. More pedestrian space and more variety of fast food are required. Too bad they can not be modernized, to keep up with more international countries.

All things considered the Airport is pretty easy to navigate but on occasion an depending on your flight be prepared to walk. Immigration control is pretty easy as well but don't forget to keep your entry documents as you will need them when you depart Mexico.

Horrible airport. It is hot, not much room for passengers waiting. Not many options for food. Gate 34 hidden in the corner makes boarding very difficult. Knock it down and start over.

Update: They confiscated a two inch screwdriver you use on a laptop... Very tiny. Honestly, I can do more damage with a pen so this is really dumb. Maybe closer to asinine.

Not enough seating. Not very clean. Walk a lot here to get anywhere.

The most important airport in Mexico and in constant remodeling. Currently has marks to establish the healthy distance, more points are needed with antibacterial gel, staff with face masks

Just landed and my opinion was not good airport so strick for no apparent reason.the airlines people I don't know if they do there job regulations or they take it us personal for those people who travel in tourist during covid 19.i try my best to understand why the every airport I have to stop or lay over required me to buy a health insurance.layover no visa required buy treated us like criminal few hours in detention I meet a lot of people are in few days and weeks in airports hold.something wrong the document.all I can say is people must bend down a little bit more understandable and maybe we can save the earth.the corona virus is not on air we breathe and I can see it's on every man and people mentality.period!

Please be careful of not making any purchases with card on any stores at the airport even if you already did check in. They cloned our card in front of gate 27 American Airlines when we made a purchase in a small store that is in a corner next to subway.

It is one of the airports that have a lot to offer. Like all airports it is expensive but it has many things both food and articles. I hope you are never there when it rains because if you are going to get a little wet lol but it is a good airport.

Big and busy airport with adequate choice for food before one boards the plane. Although there are big signs showing that free Wi-Fi is available, I was not able to successfully log in despite repeated attempts and gave up. Free WiFi is available for customers at some eating places and a tip is expected for dine in customer. Be aware that all bags have to be collected on arrival at Mexico city, then transferred to another carousel even though you are on a connecting flight and this whole process may take up to 1 hour. Few airport staff can converse in English and if you have a problem, it can be frustrating to try to get help.

No free WI-Fi. Free or not, could not connect ro any WiFi. During a layover I don't care much about shopping as I care about staying connected. That's priority. Needs more signs and people that can speak English.
Down from 2 stars to one: It's an International Airport but the announcements are in Spanish only. Don't get what they say!

It's definitely not the best airport in the world (with just few toilets; all bright common space etc) but I don't like it because of one particular reason: windows are very small and you can barely see the planes. And in my humble opinion: watching planes on the airport is quite important.

when you get there,

when you get there,
I recommend not to eat at airport go outside and eat super tortas cubanas those are really cheap cost 80 pesos

The process of going through immigration and having a scan of passport, face and all fingers and thumbs, just to catch a connecting flight Is bizzar, highly suspicious and infringing on my rights. Never will fly through Mexico again.

Confusing and nobody helps. Had a 7 hour layover and was told we could not lay down by security. Mind you layover was from 11pm to 6am and i have two kids. They had carts for luggage and was told i could not use in airport that i needed to "hire" the guys with dollies. Worst experience ever.

no organization, even with a stopover of two hours no certainty of having his flight so there are travelers who have to go through immigration, and as a bonus they kept my suitcase 24 hours because supposedly lost, and have it given once they had used it! delighted with my trip!

I had a terrible experience with this airport. Some lady who wasn't a staff member tried to steal my luggage, everything was extremely confusing, and I was given misinformation from various staff members which ended up getting me lost and almost making me miss my flight. A friend of mine even warned me not to stop at this airport because she also had a terrible and confusing experience, now I regret not taking her word. Worst airport ever. Never visiting again.

Good
