Eeek. I m a big fan of Mexico but this airport certainty can t handle its flight capacity. Get ready for long waits, delays, some smells, and lots of people. Amenities aren t great but I ve seen worse.

This airport and especially terminal 2 is a bit crappy. The toilets are a disaster all over this airport. Dirty, outdated, not enough toiletcabins. There are a lot of different wifi options, all quite slow. There are no lounge options available for regular passengers. Time for a big renovation!

Meh. Had much better experiences in Trieste, Palanga and Szczecin, despite being smaller airports. Some of the security staff is very rude, we have been yelled at and bossed around because we were following the "connections" sign (we wanted to transfer flight so that was the most logical thing to do, wasn't it? Apparently not). Also during the security checks post immigration controls (what's the point of having a connection queue if you have to go through immigration and pass security again?) some of the staff was quite bossy. The whole place has a decadent look, if the lights were off one could thing this was Pyongyang airport. Toilets are quite clean, though, and food at the 2nd level is good and rightly priced.

if i could give less than one star i would . first off My grandma was traveling from atlanta to mexico city . we paid for her luggage in atlanta since they were overweight the limit . when she got to mexico airport immigration had her for 2 hours asking her so much questions and they demanded that she paid them 200 because of her luggages but that s stupid cause we already paid in atlanta therefore she didn t have to give them a dime . she is a diabetic person and started falling out due to them pressuring her . how can people do that to her and until she paid them that s when they let her go . never ever would my grandma arrive to that airport . due to her medical issues she doesn t work and they asking her for money ?! if something bad would have happen to her . they don t care and plus THEY STEAL YOUR ITEMS . never ever again .

In its time it was a very efficient airport, however the demand has grown and the airport does not have the capacity, so it stopped being efficient, to the extent of lowering its passengers in cargo areas, without considering the people of. the elderly or with reduced mobility.

There is everything from Oxxo to food stores, banks, branches, they only need a Sears, an Inbursa bank, that is, everything is too expensive, but within what fits everything is good

The development of NAICM is planned in four stages. Phase I, scheduled to open by October 20, 2020, will consist of one main terminal of 8,000,000 square feet (743,000 m2) and three independent runways, which would yield a capacity for 68 million passengers annually. In its final Phase (2065), NAICM will consist of six runways, an additional main terminal and two satellite terminals, with capacity for 120 million passengers - making it the second largest airport in the world today. [2]

The Master Plan has been developed by the global engineering and consultancy company Arup Group Limited.[3][4] The architectural project was design in collaboration between Pritzker award architect Norman Foster - works include Beijing Capital International Airport, Hong Kong International Airport - and renowned Mexican Architect Fernando Romero - works include Soumaya Museum.

Impossible to find any vegetarian meal. After traveling in South America for over 10 months I'm used to being difficult, but this airport reaches the top of my surprises. Very strange for an international destination. Also, trolleys aren't free so prepare to pay or carry your luggage. Luckily breathing is free here.

the airport it's really easy to move around... you can get all the services you'll need to complete your travel needs.....NOW when it's referring to airlines that's a different thing as example... .InterJet,,,,Aeromexico, when you have the need to change/adjust your ticket... they tell you to go to a different place and honestly everybody plays beer damn.....bad customer service,, one person tells you one thing and the other person, someelse......not referring any airline at all...

Old and not very functional airport for the volume of daily flights. Every day there are delays on all airlines. The screens do not report flight delays until they are already obvious. Landing at the airport involves at least 20 minutes to be able to disembark and at least another 30 minutes to be able to pick up the documented suitcase (almost an hour since the plane touches the ground). There are not enough seats in the waiting rooms. Airport of 4 for a country with ideas of 4th.

Really nice airport. There are lots of shops and food places. The staff is friendly but we did get different answers from different people about our luggage being transferred to our final destination.

Most of the stuff in the international flights don't speak English and are unable to answer questions. At the same it was hard to find information booths.
When it comes to connecting flights the system is quite inefficient. For every flight you need to get your luggage and check it back in. On top of that if you decide to fly with Aeromexico even if the flight is international you need to go to the domestic terminal. In order to take the train from terminal 1 to terminal 2 you need to provide a ticket which isn't possible if web check-in for the airline has failed and they don't have ticket counters in the current terminal. I was surprised how badly the airport is organized.

nice and big airport but does not have excellent accessibility. It would be great if they had extended one of the nearby train lines to the airport so people could easily get to the airport using the public transport. Most people can not speak English which is not good at all! Not many people can speak English fluently in the city but at least authorities and workers of airport should have basic knowledge of English while most of them do not.

Terminal 1 is very old and it shows in certain areas they have not been maintained. It is one of the main and always or almost always there are many people. You have to be careful anyway. It is very wide and sometimes it is time to walk and walk a lot to the waiting or boarding rooms. It also has connection to hotels on one side and ADO terminal for certain routes. Prices are expensive in some cases such as parking and authorized taxis, but there is no other if you want to be more secure.

Overall it's a good airport (and one of the most important in Latin America), has different establishments where you can hang out while waiting for flights, which handle security is good. most employees are very friendly and their organization is acceptable.

Avoid the place at all costs!

Avoid the place at all costs!
Nobody speaks english, we were giving fake money while changing dollars ( in an official exchange shop!!), staff is more worried with their cel phones, no air conditioner, no free wifi and you may have to pay 1$ for the shuttle inside the terminals ( of course, the rail is there, but no train..).

One of the worst places I have the chance to visit.

its a good international airport and mostly people are lazy to find where there terminal. i just think mostly Americans with non - Spanish speakers never finds where their going. at least have abilities to know Spanish.

Very big airport especially T1, they show the gate just 1 hour before the departure, so prepare yourself to monitor the information screen. Otherwise, you risk to miss your flight.
You can't see the planes on the ground, because the airport walls are not made from glass as the majority of all airports in the world.

The airport is large and very noisy, like most airports. You can easily find electrical outlets.
The 2 terminals have catering areas with several stands and tables and seats available. A few restaurants too, but the choice is not very large.
There s a lack of quiet places to hang out while waiting for your flight, and nice shops.
The directions are generally unclear, but people are mostly friendly and cheerful.
If we offer to accompany you, you should expect to pay a small tip (propina) of 10 to 20 pesos, this is a very common practice. The same goes for suitcase carriers who have small metal shopping carts. It is sometimes very convenient to call on them, especially since they know the whole airport very well.
The exchange rate is very attractive at the airport, it is better to change your currency directly.
Courage and patience to those who will leave Mexico City by rental car and who will drive in the urban jungle

It is very large it seems endless, to wait for the transfer there are shops and restaurants as well as places to wait, the guys who help you with wheelchairs are very friendly and make you be able to locate yourself perfectly, also if you have an older adult companion or with different capacities they support you in everything.

CARE, stole things from my luggage, I made one day stopover in Mexico, leave my bags at the airline to leave the next day and when I get to my final destination I realized that I had stolen things. I think a lack of respect for foreigners visiting their country, leaving money to Mexico consuming, staying there, so on and that's the image they give. It was my first time going to Mexico, was very excited to know another country and the truth that with what happened, I'm taking a very big disappointment at what happened.

Your typical busy airport, I was impressed how easy it was to make it to our boarding gate on our way to Panama.

I have to update this review. I landed in Mexico last week and immigrations was a nightmare, over 500ppl trying to crowd thru some double wide doors, not very well lit or clear signs. We were here for over an hour with no AC. They have to do a better job with clearing thru immigrations and customs.

Avoid going through this airport at all costs.

Avoid going through this airport at all costs.
The staff are extremely rude and unhelpful.
Every time I m here it s an extremely unpleasant time travelling. It is unorganized. 5 minutes before I m supposed to board and nobody can tell me what gate I m at as it s not written on my boarding pass, they just keep telling me to come back in 10 minutes. Last year they purposely made my friend and I miss a flight telling us boarding was in 15 minutes so we could go get food when we came back 10 minutes later the plane had taken off and they offered 0 assistance to me and my friend who are young girls.
I would rather have 5 connections then ever have to come back here. It is horrible. Please avoid if you can. I will NEVER be back here.
If you don t speak fluent Spanish you re going to struggle getting around. There are very very VERY few employees who can help or translate into English.

For the look & feel of this airport I would give it three stars, but the speed of checking in our bags (even with a very long line) and the swiftness of security I bumped it up to four stars. Be prepared to come with your own food here as there weren't many options when flying domestic out of this airport.

They are really trying to do the right thing to avoid the spread of Covid-19. Very respectable. It's the users who don't get it, people is not keeping a safe distance, even if there is enough space.
