AFC Urgent Care Burlington Review

Went to AFC Burlington after my PCP's office made no attempt to offer me an appointment for a fever and severe cough and instead recommended I go to a Lahey affiliated urgent care office. I checked their ratings and decided to go instead to AFC. This was my first visit to any Urgent Care office. From beginning to end, the entire staff showed professionalism and caring. I'm especially impressed with Dr. Kano. Taking in a new patient with possibly escalating symptoms and a problematic medical history is a challenge. She handled the situation with compassion, knowledge and focus. She identified my illness, called in an RX, and within 24 hours, my symptoms began to improve. I went in two days later for a suggested follow-up which showed a clear improvement. Top notch medical care. Thanks!!

This place is a disaster. I had to get a test done for work and this was the closest location to me. I went and got the test done, but they didn t tell me that I had to come back to get it assessed so I had no idea. I had to go back AGAIN for them to tell me I have to wait 2 weeks. I finally go back for the third time, and they give me all the paperwork to fill out and they sign me in. After making me wait for 30 MINUTES, they told me they were all out of the tests. Not to mention the staff at the desk tend to have a bad attitude. This place is ridiculous. Never going back.

Had one of the worst experiences with one of the Indian doctor's ! She was the worst never have seen a doctor like her. Seriously so unprofessional waste of time.

15-30 minutes wait time? Try 90 minutes and we are still not done.

This location was able to diagnose my husband, then 2 year old then me with the flu in 3 separate visits. They were so helpful and kind. Did the testing quickly. Brought us back quickly. Discussed the different medication options. Very clean facility with friendly staff!

Easy covid test application online. Was lucky and had time for us same day. They were really great. My 8 yr old was very nervous and she took the time to reassure him that the test was quick and painless. They were so great all around.

The staff at AFC-Burlington does a great job helping people get well.

I went to urgent Care in Burlington mass for DOT medical card filled out some paperwork and went thru physical fast service

Dr. Orio was terrific. I am a phyician. I will tell you this, I left there feeling like I had been taken care of at Mass General, only better. Very professional and efficiently run. Excellent care.

Was told by NP I had a fractured right foot. Followed up with Mass General no fracture in my foot just a huge expense & misdiagnosis. I tried to get radiology disc & reports & it s impossible to get records no fax provided. They do not have the same medical records system as my MD at MGH so they can not view any labs, reports, or visits from these clinics. They are Partners urgent Care by name only. STAY AWAY!!!!! AVOID & go to a real ED or ER. I would give negative 5 stars if possible!

Truly amazing. Best experience I have ever had in any medical facility. Staff was friendly, clean environment, nurses and doctors were great! In and out in a quick and timely fashion. They even called me the next day to see how I was doing! I would highly recommend.

I've been coming here for urgent care (flu, etc.) for a couple of years now. Always prompt, friendly & efficient. Recommended.

If I could give them I zero I would. First I when I tried to call to make an appointment no one answered the phone so I finally had to email them for someone to get back to me. I finally heard back and was told I needed to have a pre-screen with a doctor for a N-95 fit test. This doctor said I needed a covid test before they would do the fit test. Mind you i just did this 2 weeks ago and this was not required at the same urgent care, different location. Once I got there for my 9:00 appointment no on came out to do the covid test for 45 mins and then another 15 mins until I was brought in for my fit test. This cost me $250 that day. 2 weeks later I get another bill for $81 for who knows what!!! This did not happen at the other location. I asked for a receipt before I left and they handed me a stack of papers which I assumed included my receipt, it did not. I called them to try to get a copy of this, no answer, emailed them no answer. I just think they are taking advantage of this situation and charging for unnecessary item. I will never go back to this location again.

I received good care. However, I went to this facility on a Work comp case and they so royally screwed up the billing that I just received a Pre-Collection bill in the mail to my home address. I've contacted Billing several times(Including giving them my work phone number and mailing address) before this and they take no initiative to correct the issue.

Very prompt service. The lab technician that worked with me was friendly and very professional. Not to mention very nice easy on the eyes. Hot!

Our waiting time was 1 minute. The receptionist was professional and cordial. The nurse and the doctor were concerned, accomodating and helped us one hundred percent. I absolutely recommend AFC Doctors Express Urgent Care.

I was concerned I had strep throat and my PCP couldn't squeeze me. I walked in to AFC and they took me immediately, no wait. They were knowledgeable, friendly and the place was very clean. They diagnosed me quickly as having strep and sent me on my way with a prescription. I started feeling dramatically better within twenty four hours. I'm grateful for their help, service and for being right around the corner from my house. I'll definitely go back whenever I'm sick. Highly recommended.

I ve been to Burlington Urgent Care twice over the years. Both times I received excellent care. Everyone was polite and professional.
Today MA Wenzday was awesome, made me feel totally relaxed and was super caring .
PA Hillary Cerretani was phenomenal. The way she stitched my wounds was painless. She catered to my medical needs immediately.
I ll always go there for professional medical services instead of waiting in a hospital waiting room for hours.

When I have a need for urgent care, I only think of AFC Urgent Care of Burlington. I have been there at least 3 or 4 times for a variety of concerns and I always get effective care with a solid diagnosis and care plan. The folks at AFC are professional, caring, and listen to what is important beyond the presenting issue. AFC provides exceptional care...

They are excellent with children. We only waited maybe 2 minutes to be seen. The whole staff is friendly.

Horrible experience. I went in there for a quick urine screen. I paid out of pocket and was told it would only take about 20-30 mins. Next thing you know they said something about it being flagged and I won't get my results for 7 days. Not only did they not mention that to me in the beginning but now I won't have my results in time for when I needed them. It was a complete waste of time and money. I would have never went there had I known all of this ahead of time.

Today was my third visit to AFC and I would rate my overall experience as "EXCELLENT".Entire team knew what they were doing,Dr.Shannon McCormick in particular,took trouble to call me when I was driving back to work so that some important health issues would be duely addressed.Thank you all...Keep up the good work!

The doctors are great people, but after informing me in no uncertain terms that they were in network, they proceeded to bill me as out of network. After reviewing the dispute I raised, they sent the bill immediately to collections without informing me that the dispute was settled (after about 4 months had elapsed). After chasing them for months, I was told that I "have no evidence" that they told me they were in network, so it was "just too bad." Highly recommend having them sign paperwork confirming their interpretation of your insurance status before consenting to treatment, or it will be "just too bad" for you.

I ended up at this AFC Urgent Care site unexpectedly because a they are a Quest Diagnostics collection site; when I had shown up to the other collection site where my test was scheduled, they said they did not take specimens on Saturday, and additionally were quite terse with me and blamed me for not knowing that. The difference between that location and this one was night and day. I called up, and the employee on the phone was able to find my collection order with the number I gave her, transfer it over, and was one of the most calm, patient and polite people I've ever met. The facility itself was roomy, sparkling clean, has complimentary coffee and water, and even the lab technician was so well mannered, it was unbelievable. I would drive out of my way to come to this urgent care over others simply because it is obvious that they have great customer care principles. Here's to at least one business that has not forgotten the human element!

I was very pleased by the services I received today. I was nicely greeted as soon as I came thru the door and given paperwork and instructions on the check-in process. After a few minutes, I was led into an examining room where my symptoms were discussed and the next steps were explained to me. After having a few tests to rule out anything life threatening , I was examined by the doctor. We went over my symptoms and she explained to me the reasons for the issues I was having and gave me info on what I needed to do to feel better. She suggested I follow up with my primary care doctor and that they would be contacting me with my test results and will also send a copy to my doctor. This experience was so much better than sitting in the ER. Everyone I met was professional, caring and very capable of helping me with my issues. I highly recommend this Urgent Care location.

Things could not have gone smoother at AFC urgent care in Burlington . I went for a covt19 test and received my results in less than an hour .
The staff was friendly , kind , efficient and professional. They answered all my questions without hesitation regarding covt 19. They are very knowledge and provide me with the proper paperwork to reference after my test .
Luckily mine was negative , however if it had been positive they are prepared to assist you with the next steps .
Would recommend to all my friends and family. . Lastly I d like to mention AFC urgent care in Stoneham who assisted me in booking the appointment. I have post concussion syndrome from a motor vehicle accident and found trying to make the appointment on line difficult for me . I was told not to worry that they were booked in Stoneham , but they would contact and book an appointment for me in the Burlington facility the very next day .
Can t thank them enough .

I came here today and was told places like this were the best. I'm usually a very nervous person when it comes to doctors offices, hospitals, etc. I have 0 bad things to say. Everything was clean, I was in and VERY quickly and everyone was exceptionally nice from the receptionist, to the nurse & doctor who both found my nervous humor amusing. The doctor (I wish I could remember her name) was very thorough in my diagnostic and made me feel VERY comfortable. Awesome place :)!

Staff was friendly, fast and efficient. The clinic was crisp and clean. Comfy chairs and even a space with IPads for the kiddos! The free (delicious)coffee was an added bonus!

I went for a pre employment drug test. The office is extremely clean and modern. Staff, friendly and helpful. I didn't pre register for my visit and was still in and out in 10 minutes. My sample was handled with professionalism right in my view so mixups with chain of custody are avoided. Best part, the employer had the test results before I got home!
