My son are on a returning flight today December 29, 2017 from DR and is the first time they are traveling international by themselves. As they were going thru security at the Santiago Airport, the person told my son that he had to throw out his cologne which was only 2.0 OZ. This is clearly stealing. Because my son do not know the system and the guy was so nasty with him, he just followed instructions and disposed of it. He took the cologne from here (JFK) to STI and there was clearly no problem since it was only 2.0 OZ. His position as an airport agent is to PROTECT and follow RULES NOT to STEAL from the passengers.
STI Airport executives, TRAIN YOUR PERSONEL TO FOLLOW PROTOCAL AND STICK to the Transportation Security Administration regulation and not to their own rule AND NOT STEAL FROM THE PASANGERS!!!!

They must improve in the process of receiving passengers, since they do not allow it to be in the terminal, but in the parking lot, since they must prepare the area to wait and enforce the rule of one person per vehicle, it is a depressing spectacle that is lived outside the airport.

this airport cannot handle more than 1 flight at a time since it doesn't have the required personnel, after midnight 4 flights land within 2hrs and if one of those flights gets delayed from the original destination it causes havoc at this small airport when it lands since it merges with the other flights...just look at this line!!

An excellent location easy access but its biggest advantage is its biggest drawback, the size and is that being small is all intuitive but when there are several flights due to lack of space it is somewhat chaotic, but everything else is excellent.

I like that it's a small airport with very fast service and with multiple flights per day to NYC area. I don't like that the staff interrogates you about your personal life and you have to basically convince them that you are a "good person" and are not doing anything that they might consider wrong.

If your name and last name are in Spanish and you can't speak Spanish be prepared to be asked multiple questions, they will be in Spanish.

STI is not that bad at all.

STI is not that bad at all.

- Clean airport.
- Friendly staff and stewardesses.
- Paid parking for 25 pesos.
- It gets busy during the major holidays like x-mas.

I would recommend this airport to anyone traveling to the Dominican Republic.

To whom it may concern, on January 2, 2016 I used the American Airlines airline of this airport and my luggage was stolen, most people overlook these things, but I understand that it is a lack of ethics and I respect that things like this are happening at a point in the country that tourists receive

Everything was great! Except for the speaker systems. They need to be take out of the ceiling and put along the walls. It's hard to understand what is said due to the echo background from the dome ceilings

It's a small airport with just a few airlines flying. Any small problem could become huge. Today my flight is delayed for about 2 hours.

The announce when is time to go through security.

The line is huge today and moving very slow or not moving at all. I'm trying to get my boarding pass but Spirit is making it very inconvenient for everyone here.

Small and clean. I love the fact that i don't have to go to Santo Domingo or any other airports to travel. I like the different art work that is always hanging on the walls. Depends on what airline you go thru, depends on the quality of service.

Worst airport ever, and I m Dominican so that should say a lot. I have traveled to many places and I have never in my life been asked personal and irrelevant questions about my life by airport staff. Waiting in line I had to show my passport to 2 people, one of whom decided to interrogate me about what I like to do on my free time. Seeing as how my grandmother had passed away and I was holding back tears I did not answer her third question and she proceeded to write my name down. Once inside, my passport was checked by 3 others. Later while waiting to board, my name was called and I was sent to go get some mysterious stamp on my boarding pass that one else needed on theirs. Turns out, they needed to scan my hands for traces of drugs. They checked my pockets and socks. Then they opened and checked my carry on luggage. And a worker there confirmed that it was because that woman had written my name down. UNPROFESSIONAL is the word that comes to mind when describing this airport. Travel through another one if you can.
