A large and modern international airport of which I feel proud as an Italian and as a Venetian. I noticed that baggage recovery has been very fast lately. Very well connected to Venice, Piazzale Roma by public buses and motorboats. Excellent "first aid" in case of need. Efficient parking ... Keep it up ... we'll always be the best. Last ... availability of the "sunflower laces", "SunflowerLanyard" ... for the "invisible infirmities" to wear at the airport for porters and carers, to be more readily recognized in their needs by the staff.

Yesterday we flew with Iberia, the organization at the Venice airport was terrible! Very bad organization to go up, we know that those who go with children, business, disability ... first pass, but when they started calling by groups, they went first to those who wanted to. Whether they carried hand luggage or not, whether they were from the Group they called or not ...
People working in various areas: information, check-in, security, gate, do not openly communicate. You are forced to rudely demand attention to ask any questions or receive any direction. Right now, during the pandemic, things are very different so some communication would be nice, instead of having to wait for someone to make things clear to you.
Pleasant environment inserted in a unique context: the Venetian lagoon! In this period particularly congested by works in progress, therefore not exactly comfortable for the passenger, but aimed at a great and ambitious development!
Impossible to contact. No one ever answers the phone. Also email requests have not followed. For 2 days I have been trying to get information on the new Milione card and no one explains anything to me. Unbelievable !!
Good organization, friendly staff, thank Alessandra's attention at the Iberia counter. It is quite easy to find staff that speaks to you in Spanish. Impeccable bathrooms The security personnel have asked us the reason for visiting Venezia and how much money we bring back. Maybe at rush hour something difficult to find a seat but in a couple of laps you find it
Sad and empty ... 6 flights throughout the day .... I still remember it teeming with people on the go. I still want it like this .... with the smell of the perfumes of the duty free ... where everyone used to go to give us a fix ... I miss you I miss you so much ...
Mediocre. A hole. Not to mention the prices for food and the proverbial discourtesy and rudeness of the staff. They hate and treat tourists badly, they don't want them but in the meantime they charge gold for everything there is for sale (even the poorest things). Only the new part inaugurated a short time ago is saved. Shame
Have been very pleasantly surprised by this airport, I've been expecting something small and crowded and outdated, while in reality it turned out to be decently sized and comfortable to navigate. The area on the way to vaporetto boats and its terminal is especially pleasant with lots of greenery.
Working at full capacity only from 9.00 am, the staff operates informally and does not respond to the proverbial sympathy of the Venetians. Since it is the corner of Venice, one would expect more verve and enthusiasm ...
Beautiful airport. Efficiently managed. Marco Polo club lounge is one of the best ones I have visited thus far. Water taxi to the airport direct from San Marco makes it very convenient to get to.
We got to the airport three hours early. When our flight was ready to check in, we right away went to the line. We were not very far from the front, yet it took over an hour to check in. They only had one service agent to check in a whole flight. The line went outside the building. There was no explanation. It seems silly to have such an inefficient system.
Not really well organised, queues at the security (even if due to covid) are eternally long. Parts of the airport have been closed so lot of ppl are crammed in a smaller place than before.
MOST disorganized airport I've ever visited. My experience was marked by nothing but inprecision in cueing (arbitrary cueing spots leading to nothing less than a scrum for the security checkpoint), waiting for last minute announcements, and combative and unclear staff. Prepare for frustration, stress, and an unpleasant experience if flying out of Marco Polo.
It may be that the prices are displayed in every parking lot, except that I and others with whom I spoke in the parking lot, I only saw them before leaving. At that point you don't go all the way to the car and try to get out, as the payment obligation has already started.

Small, clear airport. Unfortunately, too few seats. Far too little space at the gates, too, if some flights are delayed or in high season the airport is quickly overcrowded. For restaurant with seat and service one likes to stand for one hour. Fast food is faster. Check in and security check are super fast and friendly. Toilets are still cleaned very slowly, even if about 50 people queue and the airport is totally crowded. Escalators to the gates are simply blocked if there are already too many people at the gates. With stroller or for the elderly very bad. You can barely reach the gate though boarding time would be. It is very unfriendly kept away from the escalators and dismissed. No interesting shops and uninteresting catering. Despite total congestion at the gate, all business passengers first have to fight backwards and forwards before the normal passengers are let through, which is totally pointless in such a situation. Bad space planning.
Let's talk about this airport after finish the renovation. Enormous increase of shops and restaurant cutting the seats in waiting area. A new huge area for international flights security check (always empty) cutting the seats in waiting area. The result? Do shopping, or order something in one restaurant (all overpriced) if you are waiting your flight, because find a seat is a lottery, more easy lay down on the floor and use a poor wifi for spend your time. In the past for fast drop off you can stop the car (max 5 min.) front main entrance, protected from the rain, (now this is only for VIP,), you must enter in the parking (free within 10 minutes), than walk under rain and sun The time you will spend waiting in front of the belt for your luggage at the arrival is one of the longest in the world. Last month l spent same time for flight and pick up luggage. This happen always, without any exception also if your flight is the only one arrived. The luggage before arrive to the main belt jump from another belt at insane height, the result? For me already 2 luggage damage. I forget about the long queue for passport check, forget the day when the parking was close (waiting some vip) but the arrogant attendant prohibited also stop outside the parking for the drop off, only in the main road was permitted, so pity there's half kilometer by walk with luggage to do! Someone should explain why police catch 2 times someone of the handling luggage with "the hands inside the bags" but can't fired this group of robbery. I have another long list of complain, l m a frequent flyer l can compare venice with many other airports around the world, and in terms of service ,Marco Polo is one of the worst, only a nice make up without targeted the customer. Btw if you complain the answer is..."please write to this address....." which is completely useless because no one will answer, read or take any action. EDIT The airport reply some service is not managed by the airport and l need complain the single service!!! This sound completely insane, this is the review of the Venice Airport, not of the single shop, or single service, airport is only one and the top management decide who is in charge every single service and they are responsible for contact them and solve any problem. Please don't consider every customer so stupid asking to fill some complain just for waste our time and justify your salary.
Just renovated, but completely wrong choice of style. Instead of making a quality construction that recalls the Venetian style, unique in the world, the environment is anonymous and cold to the point of resembling a hospital. Very high priced bars and low quality food. Indications for lack of sea transport in the baggage area and just after.

Looks great for passers by, but this airport is very badly thought out for waiting times. There are virtually no seats in the area before check in aside very few uncomfortable ones which are always in use, even after the check-in the seats are still insufficient. There is also no play area for babies and children in the whole airport, so get there on time and pray for no fog or delays as you will feel homeless and end up having to seat at the expensive restaurants to get some rest from the noise and confusion of this small unequipped airport.
This is a typical refurbishment where the architects have done a self-pleasing/look good project, rather than a functional airport with passengers in mind.

The best are the aerial views over Venice when taking land. It is quite comfortable and with direct connection to the pier of the bus-boats that bring you closer to Venice.

This airport is way too small for its static. Inside it does not have enough space, no seats for passengers. Very few automated machines to print boarding passes. Arrived by water taxi from Venice and there is about 10 mi it walk to main terminal. Any other airport would provide shuttle but not here. You end up dragging your suitcase or hire one of vans for 10-20 euro to get to actual terminal. One bright spot was customer service staff walking at the airport asking for any help. Once pass the security there are number of shops and cafes. If they expand gate check in area and offer shuttle from water departure area this airport can really shine.
Before passing the security control the airport is small for the queues it has. A restaurant in the back on the right side is the best area to wait if you don't already have a check-in desk. Once inside the security zone, the commercial zone is very good, with all the big Italian brands.
MARCO POLO Lounge Lounge use with Diners Card. There are lots of bread and lasagna, which is also delicious. Wine and coffee are ordered. Good quiet and wide.
Venice Airport is a beautiful and small airport compared to Rome airport, which has all the services of car and boat rental to the water city of Venice and inside the departure section there is a free market and a variety of international brands and pharmacy

Small international airport in Venice. Only 25~30min away by airport bus from Venice Mestre station. ATVO bus is much convenient for moving between airport and Venice. There are many local product shops in Duty free areas. And has a good lounge near the duty free shop before immigration check for non-EU country travellers.
Arrived to airport in Taxi Boat. Easy walk to terminal inside walkway with AC and electrical. You really not need help if you can push your luggage they will try to charge $10 euro per person to help and no need. Modern airport, easy check in and fast security.
complete chaos in the organization. thieves for the parking of cars. Indications and signage equal to zero .. the bus that leads to Mestre or Venice unthinkable prices for a ride. Do not deserve even a star .. every time anger and stress ..
