We arrived into Venice Marco Polo airport. The immigration staff were extremely friendly and efficient. The bus tickets and the passes were easy to get from the desk outside. the bus stop is right outside the terminal. Overall a pleasant experience.

This is an airport? if you need assistance and if by chance there is not the contact person of your flight company know that the answer is: sir tell me! then tell me! and you anxiously shyly ask, "Excuse me can you help me?" the response of the ticket staff is: we can only help you if you have purchased a ticket from our company! Shameful! if the airport is not able to assist a fool in a panic then close it! Professionalism zero! indecent!

What a shambles at the bistro area on the first floor.

If i could give the airport nil stars I would

Also note that Priority Pass is no longer taken in the Marco Polo lounge - and if you want to go in the that lounge they want to charge you 40 each.

What a rip off of an airport.

Marco Polo nearly ruined an otherwise wonderful holiday at Lido di Jesolo. On arrival, we had a 90mins wait for our bags to arrive (the flight was only 105mins) with no one to ask and no announcements. We then had to drag our cases through what looked like a building site for nearly half a mile in blazing sunshine to get to the coach park. The Thomson rep on coach said bagage delay was a known issue so why doesn't the airport sort it out. Due to the bagage problems our plane's return flight was delayed by 2 hours. Our friends had had the same trouble the week before. If anything, our return home a week later was even worse. There were queues and delays from the moment we got to the queue to join the queue to check in. Check in staff kept leaving their desk, leaving us queuing without knowing what's going on. Check in desks opened then closed again. After queuing for security, we were going to go to duty free shop but noticed a huge queue for passport control. The chaos of the queue for the gate was unbelievable and then we had to queue to be herded on a bus and driven halfway round the airport to get on the plane, whose departure was delayed due to all the preceeding problems. I love Venice but this experience will make me think very carefully before I go via Marco Polo airport again.

Good structure, clean bathrooms, but most stores close early (8pm) and those who need to wait for flights late at night are left with little option to snack. Then I discovered two places to eat, one on the top floor and one on the ground floor. The one on the ground floor is much cheaper. The airport has many sockets to charge your cell phone, many seats to sit on. It has free wifi for 6 hours.

The airport is slightly larger than the metro station Am Marienplatz in Munich and therefore quite clear. The coffee is cheaper than Jesolo in the beach bar. Cheap parking about 50 meters from the entrance.

I advise you not to buy your vaporetto ticket before going to the French speaking Tourist Office and tell you what to take!

It will save you from having 40 euros like me!

You have direct buses and trains to reach this Airport. Moreover, you can see Switzerland snow Mountains from here.. It was awesome.. Regarding the airport, it is quiet good. You need to reach 1.30 hrs before your travel. Max 1.15 hrs.. Security checks will be much slower when compared to other airports, so be prepared to count those things

At the passport desk, the customs police officer accused me of not showing respect because I smiled off my mask. He took permission to comment on my country of origin. Airport officials should be aware that they work with travelers and non-criminals and should be the first to show respect to those who come to the counter to show their documents. I did not disrespect anyone in the slightest, took off my mask as requested and smiled. I have the right to travel and cross the border happy or sad, my state of mind should not in the least interest an official. Also I want to remind you that the duty of the official was to check my passport and self-certification rather than show off his arrogance and his uniform. Unfortunately the official in question was more interested in commenting on my passport and I don't even look at the self-certification sheet.

A DEVASTANT policy that aims only at profit by ignoring the serious problems of over-the-thourism that is besieging the city. The doubling of the slopes and new hotels will bring hundreds of thousands of new cubic meters of cement (to which are added new parking lots) that will devastate Tessera, its countryside, its pine forest. SHAMEFUL.

The stroller could not be found when we landed and one of those who worked at lost & found behaved very unpleasant. It looked like she with glasses and sour mine thought it was our fault that the stroller could not be found. It was such a shame that our journey started in such a way. Unfortunately, she filled our contact info very carelessly, which is a joke that she can sit there and take care of her customers.

The airport is not very big but clean, if the transfer time is 2 hours, you can not be bored.
there are restaurants, supermarkets, bookstores, cosmetics and clothing stores..., If the transfer time is short, it is not advisable to stay for too long.
Many kinds of cheeses are sold in supermarkets, but many countries are forbidden to enter, please take care.

Top friendly, top clean, top shops and good food options, from ambulatory panini to top-quality homemade burgers.

Small but nice, the airport. Thursday evening at check-in without waiting times and so many lines of control occupied that twice as many passengers could pass through without waiting.

To the "one-star reviewers": What can the check-in staff do to prevent you from using a computer and reserving seats in advance?

Extremely rude staff at the security check entrance. Although little was going on, these ladies could only scream "avanti, avanti" hysterically. Apparently, their area of work does not require a large vocabulary.
Otherwise, the airport is just as bad as so many others where one tries to drive away the desire for air travel.

THE WORST AIRPORT EVER!!!!!! Super unorganized, it is so tiny for the amount of foot traffic that comes in. There is absolutely no seating area except for near the "restaurants". The food is horrible, the staff is so rude, no manners whatsoever and they are not helpful at all. There is one person per kiosk with a line almost going out the door. This is just outrageous. Giving this place one star because it's the only option, if there was a zero, this place would get that rating from me.

Terrible experience. The queue for international flights AFTER security was beyond belief. Some of the staff were sending people to the front of the queue, whereas others sending them back at the bottom in a totally uncoordinated mess. People were joining the queue at every point and the staff were impotent to create a linear entry access. Staggeringly, only 4 out of 12 passport checking kiosks were active despite the busy day. All of this caused a more than one hour of queueing (again unexpectedly after security) and as a consequence several flights were delayed. Despite ample safety margins in my schedule I narrowly made the flight although I'm sure others may not have been so fortunate. Additionally this chaos has a knock on effect at all the destinations leading to an unquantifiable disorder across the world.

Handling was very fast ... everything was great
To get to Venice (Pz. Roma) does not necessarily take the Aerobus (8 ), it can also be with the normal bus number 5, for the standard price, ride takes 8 minutes longer. But be careful, there are two buses from line 5 to Venice, one 25 minutes, the other 1.5 hours !!!

Venice airport is both beautiful and functional, after the last jobs and waiting for the last one, the airport has become modern and relaxing, excellent shops and excellent food area.
The controls are very fast, which allows you not to waste time on stressful queues.
For a small city like Venice having an international level airport is an honor.

2 hours late for the flight ... we ask you to warm up the baby food for the 8 month old baby and none of the restaurant shopkeepers gives you ... at this point I know that you are not restaurateurs but beasts !! thanks anyway

The single least efficient airport I have been to ...

The single least efficient airport I have been to in over 20 years. You cannot check in when you arrive to the airport your flight has to be leaving within 2.5 hours so you wait in a waiting room where the only amenity is access to a bathroom. Even if you were able to check in online you will have to wait to check your bags. You think you are done with lines after security check point only to have to line up again to have your passport stamped. The only area that is pleasing is the duty-free area. Venice is absolutely beautiful but you will have to suffer through this airport.

Not very convenient to reach and services not up to other international airports. For example, there is no Wi-Fi, which for a foreigner without a data plan can be really unpleasant. The staff is not very helpful, often if you do not speak Italian.

Everything is ok except passport control. Huuuuge lines in which you can spend hour (or maybe days) with only pair of lazy workers that ask ridiculuos questions. Bad experience. Definitely come earlier than usual.

Atrocious !!! Badly organized, poorly indicated, your restaurant is a joke, one with service, but the inter, the ski resort are better equipped than you! Lack of space, delay, seriously you are a modern city wake up! Very disappointed, good I put two star, it's clean at least.

Worst airport experience ever... No signage in terminal, horrendous queues and when transferring to plane left on a bus for 20 minutes in 30 deg heat with no aircon. Avoid at all costs.

The only one open for 25 euros a day and practically full, I parked in the penultimate free spot.

It was a bit of time that I did not go from here. Found very clean and functional. No hitch. It seems to me but the tapes of the bags are particularly relaxed compared to other airports?

The airport is very large and well maintained. There are tons of flights. The landing strips are very large. There are many lounges, especially Alitalia. However it is a very large and very clean airport also because it is an international airport. The staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are very cheap due to the Covid 19 crisis

A hallucinating parking system. There are no more free parking spaces that once were. There are no detailed directions to pick up arriving passengers and access the short stop. But most of all, THEY HAVE REMOVED THE FREE PARKINGS ALONG THE ROAD !!!!

Flights canceled because the rich airport of Venice did not fix the radar... they let you wait on big lines not even helping you and the staff is not informed .... completely unorganized and chaos everywhere! Shame of Italy!

Arbitrary and not an international standard! - Italy a great country, but the staff at the airport seem to be overwhelmed! ... check in: Advisor shows the trainee that the trolley (int. Tumi series) also has to be given up because the plane is supposedly full and we (2pers) only had one suitcase with us. So laptop and camera bag removed.
Next Gau: security force plays out - Teutonic serenity loses against southern temperament ... all you have to do is stay calm (even if it is difficult) and take Mac out of your pocket, take off your shoes and follow the instructions of the bad-tempered security staff. Cheek! ... although the staff didn't really have much to do.

There is no land bus or taxi to Santa Lucia train station. To get to there, buy a land bus ticket with a price of 8 euros to Piazzale Roma, and from there, it s just a few minutes walk to the train station.
From Marco Polo airport to Venezia Mestre is much easier, just buy a land bus ticket with the same price, it ll take you directly to Mestre.

Nice place, have to wait for our plane here for quite a long time as we depart later in the evening, so plenty of waiting setting, great to have a recharge place and free WiFi, and finding somewhere to set ok too, so no problem staying here for a long wait a few place to have something to eat if needed.
