Very well connected by bus and taxi with the central station. Small airport that offers many destinations and airlines.
Very well connected by bus and taxi with the central station. Small airport that offers many destinations and airlines.
Well organized airport, never excessive queues and excellent parking
Safety checks usually quite quick
Confused boarding area with few chairs
After the checks there is no newsstand
At peak times and fair days taking a taxi requires very long waits
Boarding with fake fingers is embarrassing
No smoking area two hours late, prices too expensive. A small and expensive ugly place
Normal experience for an Italian airport. A lot of patience.
Medium-sized airport, departures for both national and international locations. The Aerobus shuttle service is good to the central station and the center every 20 minutes until half past midnight. In addition to a few restaurants, bars and shops, there is also a supermarket. Too bad that unlike other domestic airports there are few shops and no shops with discounted duty free tax rates.
Today Friday 2 March I had to leave for Cagliari at 10-30 am the flight was canceled like many others (but not all of them, and this is the curious thing)
but the reason was that the Bologna airport today did not have the possibility of making the wing defrost due to the lack of the product.
However, after a while, as can be seen from the site, practically all the planes took off.
But how is it possible that in 2018 after it had been known for days that these days there would be this problem the aforementioned airport
did not take precautions in time?
The result is that a great many people have remained on the ground.
Congratulations for managing the situation !!!!!!
For reasons of my flight schedule, I spent the night at the airport and I must say that it's not so bad. There is a rest area with chaise longue (ten) available for free, and monitoring method is in control, so you can sleep peacefully.
Council: the restaurant services close at midnight and reopen at 4:30 or so, so if you have to spend the night at the airport, equip yourself with the necessary first. In any case there are distributors of drinks and active snacks 24 / 24H.
Small airport compared to Rome or Milan, but functional and easily accessible.
Very small airport, it looks like an industrial warehouse
Avoid if possibile. Nothing works! Check in: waiting time at least one hours. Baggage claim: waiting time min 30 min. Then if you need a taxi good luck...youre gonna probably stand for another hour. It s a shame for a modern country
insufficient space at the gates for those who have to wait for boarding
The WORST airport i have ever been in Italy! They are NOT prepared for international passengers at all. Staff doesn't speak english and gets mad when you don't reply to their italian shouting (!!?). The bathrooms at the departure hall were disgusting, not cleaned for hours i am sure (pee all over the floor, lack of paper and so on). Fly to other closeby airport! Pisa and Florence are way better prepared!!!
40 minutes late because on December 28 at 14:00 there was not enough personnel to reverse the plane! This is always the case and I don't understand why airport managers should never answer for serious structural and organizational deficiencies !!!
Is boarding allowed based on a mobile permit, not listed?
Thanks!
21 August 2020 5.30 am: no indication regarding the outputs identified in the covid era, x which bad organization. The only correct information was that of the cleaning staff. The young lady at the only exit, busy looking at the phone to answer people correctly, made me go around the airport and then find myself in front of her again. The exit, I repeat, the only exit is on the first floor and to get to the ground floor you have to walk along the road down. Luckily I didn't have any suitcases to carry. Bad experience
I was there last month for a trip I found myself very well top parking
The seventh busiest airport in Italy, the Guglielmo Marconi in Bologna is not far from the town, easily reachable thanks to public transport. Parking costs in line with other Italian airports, as well as for having a coffee, in the end what matters is the quality. Modern and clean structure. Good all the shops in the gallery.
Visited during Covid. Minimal precautionary measures and only before checks. All kinds of gatherings at the gate.
If there was a train at the airport station it wouldn't be bad
Car parks too expensive. Catering at fair prices and good quality. Service staff not very kind. Unclean bathrooms. Free Wi-Fi service is not working! Possibility to reach the airport from the Bologna train station with shuttle not in operation from midnight to 5 am. Taxis are around 20 euros. There would be the People mover service, a train that connects in 7 minutes to 8.50; He was to start operating in March 2019 but still has not been tested ... so everything is ready but remains unusable!
Bad and expensive service. Complete chaos at the parking lots scattered everywhere. Police officers who do not exist, risk of accidents always at the exit and at the entrance of parking lots and the airport. Outrageous and pitiful without dignity. If I could give a negative vote it would be around the periodical -999. Services not even from the third world .... Prices of luxury .. Make yourself cry you are very sad ....
2,5 hours ticketing to security check...long long lines!!! Make sure come here early...
Inadequate infrastructure for the volume of passengers.
First airport in which I am not allowed to pass the security check and stay inside to spend the night when your flight is at 6:30 in the morning. In addition, I recommend going with time, because there are usually queues and the waiting time to pass the control is about 30 min, unfortunate
mah, what to say, poor services, cleanliness to the limit of decency, continuous work, inconveniences .... 3 times I've used it, 3 times always like this ....
Airport painful, disorganized, scarce and poor waiting areas. Parking spaces always full.
There are no finger, bus half the time you wait.
Not to mention the luggage.
If it were not close to my place of residence I would avoid it in any way
Small-scale airport with connections to the Netherlands. the luggage facilities are very slow. It sometimes takes an hour until your luggage arrives.
Small and weird airport with weird security controls.
Absurd!
An absurd airport !!!
Topolinia is better managed!
Operators of a courtesy to be slapped and so on.
uncomfortable, for everyone, from almost any waypoint
Airport of great importance, convenient for my travels, vast and in some ways and at certain times of the day also chaotic. The atmosphere is warm and exciting, with many travelers busy looking for the departure gate. It's also nice to hear so many languages and see passengers tired or happy to leave or return from a trip. I like it.
Perfect, just the right size for not overwhelming yourself!
Busy airport, but at the same time quiet. Connected well with the nearby cities via shuttle / bus service.
I think an airport of this level should have cleaner toilets and more equipped waiting areas (few seats). Sin
Very small port aircraft with few duty free but with the necessary services to eat etc. at the entrance you can see the pride of the emilia or the lamborghini symbol of the automotive tradition. I put three stars because there is no smoking area once the checks are passed.
But don't they make direct flights anywhere ??? It is an international airport! Why ?? It's a shame
All in compliance with Covid but unfortunately few flights
Abyssal delay in the recovery of luggage and mistreatment of the same.
The elastic straps in my backpack have been broken in two because of the carelessness of the employees.
The heat it is sickly, I honestly think that they put the heating so high to make you consume by force. Aside from being less organic, so much heat is not healthy. Shame, that's not counting flight delays
It is unacceptable that at an airport in 2017 a smoking room is missing after passing the security check. I found it extremely discriminating.
Airport a bit 'chaotic, not very well reported inside, it can be improved.
Short time in this place, not much to review..
May 28th~30th 2017, quite hot around here.
High costs, however, with the possibility of paying little and nothing much better than many other airports
Welcoming female staff on arrival, small terminal though so feels quite crowded. Grumpiest passport control I've ever experienced when leaving (and yes I was polite/spoke Italian!) No airbridges so you have to walk outside/bus it to the aircraft/terminal, though in Italian weather that's ok most of the time! No train service even though the line runs quite close, just bus and taxi. Man singing opera in the toilets on arrival was a bonus though :)
Huge queue. Only 2 out of 10 security counter open even though there were like 5-6 flights at that time (6-7am)
Business lounge is out of the terminal (before security check) so you can't even enjoy your benefits. Forget about fast track too
Airport a bit small and underpowered due to the large traffic of flights there. Few boarding gates, all hit the spot. Few chairs to wait for your flight, wifi a bit iffy. Quick security checks despite the long queue to get there. Connection with the center carried out by the Aerobus: ticket cost 6 (the same ticket also allows the use of other buses), journey time about 25/30 minutes.
Well organized airport and exceptional assistance service to the disabled as well as the attendants are exceptional..thanks !!!
It will not be news for anyone who is killed dearly!
Clunky security procedures. Refused tap water to fill up a travel bottle by rude staff at a cafe. International departures area boring and lacking decent catering / bar facilities.
Hot hallucinating .... and for 1 kg more luggage in the hold we were charged 10 euro ... never happened in any other airport, plus very rude staff at check-in
Taken off and landed in Bologna many times, never a serious problem. All right.
How long does it take to get BLQ from the train station for half an hour? I used to sit last time but forgot... The airport is not bad. There are supermarkets and bookstores and kiko stores. _ Don t forget to print the tickets in advance, otherwise the printing is for a fee. The printing machine is also very horrible _
Sorry to say, but it's one of the worst airports I've ever seen, and I've seen quite a few. Disorganized, few services, bad connections with the city, slow luggage on arrival, dirty toilets, few shops (and the food ones are monopolized or almost), no possibility to throw the water at the security checks (they send you out and have them redo the line!) ... Not to mention the chaos outside, where no one enforces a rule that is one, the wheel has always been full of people parked ...
At first, when I saw the massive line at security, I was ready to explode in my too familiar anger outburst. However, when we checked our luggage with Air France they kept repeating with that suave European accent, Just go to the business lounge.
Huh, what about the Maginot line at security? You don t have to go to line. You go through security in business lounge.
So I just wave at the hundreds of people waiting in line?
Si, Si, Si.
Yup, I went to the business lounge, had some food and drink, used the fancy toilet, and waltzed through security. I didn t get it, but I take to this kind of elitism easily. It was a wonderful airport experience, and I felt like a celebrity. This is the way to fly.
The most delicious pizza I ate was at this airport. I recommend
I've been flying every month for years now. And unfortunately everything becomes more senseless. Queues for checks that arrive in the middle of public spaces, no smoking area after security checks, but above all things and infinite expectations to get your bags back. Clogged belts with multiple pending arrivals. If you want to grow up you have to make multiple improvements.
Sincerely, a regular visitor.
Due to its small size it offers many destinations. Definitely to be modernized, the departures area is too small and you can see people lying down everywhere we were not even in the worst station.
Shame on the Italian authorities- they could do better. All this mess because of a paper and pen. 2 hours to pass immigration.
I can only give them 5 stars because this trip to Italy was so good and will remain a great memory, because of the wedding of my friends. See you soon Bologna!
Semper qualche problema di tex refund o sul banco per i bigglieti se anche vado 3 o 4 ore prima ...
Always problematic and troubled airport, either the tex refund tax return office is not open or there is always a problem at the counters ...
Information about bad parking, cars stopped anywhere and third-world organization. To avoid
Seats are insufficient ... for an airport it's not the best ...
Avant-garde and very efficient airport from my point of view, which has seen a strong increase in air traffic in recent years, especially with the arrival of Emirates. Excellent facility and just renovated, clean and modern, excellent bars / restaurants inside. Despite having traveled far and wide around the world both as a tourist but also as a general aviation pilot, it remains my favorite airport.
This very small airport got worse throughout the years. Despite the new automated security checks that allow people to flow faster through security, every other service is grossly undersized compared to the airport capacity. Particularly outraging is the amount of seats available at gates, which is incredibly scarce: it is clear that the limited space was allocated to stores rather than seats, because the first provide profit to the airport. The lack of seats also forces travelers to wander around the duty free shops, inflating their gains. Long lines of people form at the side of gates, squished between shops. The bathrooms should definitely be cleaned more often, since the smell is intense. The overall experience especially if your flight was delayed, which was my case recently is close to a nightmare.
This saddens me, since Bologna is my hometown, but they can t keep trying to reap profits without investing in customer care.
Terrible !!! 22.10.2020 an hour and a half of flight and 2 hours in a row all together in a closed space to check passports and identity cards ...
Terrible delivery service for baggage: endless, and without any sense. Toilets (and not) definitely to be improved given the increasingly large passenger flows.
Nice airport but chaotic and the routes to get to the entrance, due to work in progress, create problems.
Small and chaotic toilets.
Non-existent telephone information service. They leave you waiting, but nobody ever answers.
Rather good and short connection with the city center.
The key issue is that the airport is small and crowded. After the security check the retail / restaurant area easily gets packed and sometimes there is sorely not enough places to sit.
Narrow and chaotic, with no finger / bridge to planes. Check-in away from security that forces you to walk long distances through shopping areas to entice people to buy. Narrow and long coils form at the controls, especially during holidays and holidays. Staff friendly and willing to help. Car parks far away unless you want to pay more for the multi-storey.
After checking, you cannot buy anything to read. There is no half a newsstand. There are endless shops with bags, alcohol and clothes, but forget about buying a book. Either you do it before or after you land. But
I also recommend arriving well in advance as long queues for controls. My sister happened to miss the plane despite having arrived on time, that is, before the gate closed. No stress was needed on the control personnel. They made her wait because "there was still time", as a result she missed the flight.
Baggage reclaim as a third-world stop and even worse, and yes I've seen it. Never once under 20 minutes of waiting. Now, after the classic 20 minutes announce that they will delay another half hour due to organizational management problems. This is not a simple management is incompetence.
I got fast track on my ticket but the staff pointed me to a normal line for the security checkpoints.. The business lounge also hard to find. I saw the line outside the of the checkpoints and I did followed it then I just lost. Usually it s after the security, I was so confused.. and never found it after that. Some of the securities were nice but next time I ll go different airport.
