For pleasure or necessity, it is always a good experience to spend some time in this place, with so many different people, many beautiful shops and restaurants of all kinds. Many memories remained etched for so many moods and so many emotions felt in this place.

I often depart from this airport and every time it is always more indecent: mileage files at check in and only one or two open doors, machines for self-drop out of use. Despite this you can not leave your luggage before the two hours and you have to redo the line. Everything is then reflected on the controls for boarding: if you do not have to run to catch the plane you will be lucky. The internal indications seem to be made to create confusion. Biased from here because it has cheap flights, stop. Shameful.

Quite clear in the directions.
By public transport you can avoid the theft of the hefty BLQ ticket by getting off at the Birra stop and then walk a little or with the line 54 that reaches the entrance but passes every 60 minutes.

Airport very convenient as location and well served in terms of number of flights and destinations, good variety of shops, and here the qualities end ...
Problems (in no particular order):
Luggage delivery often very slow
There are no fingers, now present in the majority of the same level airports
Bus full and often not conditioned
Bathrooms with saloon-style doors that bounce against you, very uncomfortable when you have a trolley
Lane to pick up and drop off passengers with the SINGLE car; as soon as someone stops to leave a person on the fly, the passage is blocked
Did I mention sooo slow baggage delivery? Well I repeat it! Ok ... to be honest the RARE times are very fast !!
Endless waits at the door (obviously open with both -5 degrees and 40 degrees !!) to get on the bus that takes you to the plane. Why do they board if the bus is not there?
Some gates seem "on loan" in the midst of shops and without any (or even an eh!) Armchair or chair in the area (example gate 11).
Airport absolutely inadequate for the number of passengers and the number of flights.

Someone explain this to me, how can the waiting room not have air conditioning ???? Only in duty-free shops and restaurants can you feel that these places are air-conditioned. In addition, the number of seats is definitely too small ....

A few years ago it was absolutely terrible, now after extensive renovations it is mediocre. Too small for the amount of passengers. Lack of places to sit. Possibly the only airport in the world where your cannot buy anything at all to read after security! Though, has a nice delicatessen with local produce before security, for those last minute gifts.

The airport is fantastic. Being Florentine, our airport is quite scarce, but fortunately the Bologna airport saves us. The airport is easily reachable from Florence in 35 minutes by train and then 20 minutes by bus from the station to the airport. As another option you can also arrive by car from Florence in about an hour and a quarter. The airport is well equipped; full of shops and bars. Security checks are generally fast and the airport suffers few delays and canceled flights. If you are traveling with a company that requires the weight of the suitcase divided into various suitcases (not just one), that this area is interesting where you can open the suitcase and use some purchasable bags to share the weight. Generally, you should do this process in the middle of the airport, but here in Bologna they have a room reserved for this, with the appropriate devices to determine the weight of the suitcase. Without doubt the best alternative to Peretola

Dramatically deserted: very few travelers (last year in these endless days everywhere!), Except the bars all other activities are closed. We hope that the EU reopening of the borders can revitalize our in / out tourism because this is the collapse of the whole system and of all workers in the sector! As for anti-covid security, the service is excellent. Access is not allowed except to travelers and only one accompanying person.

Worst airport ever. It's very small, from the outside looks ok but once you're in it's a nightmare. With no sense, They check the boarding passes twice before the security check and right after its really chaotic. The worst part is that after security there's just one duty free shop (very expensive) and one restaurant that was closed. The only bar sells water for 2.30 .
Then they ask you why you go to leave abroad...welcome to Italy!

I have been traveling extensively all my life and I think some of the bad reviews have missed the airport offerings, probably due to lack of clear advertisement of the offered services. There are some shortcomings and here is what I don't like about the airport as pointed out correctly by some: 1)There should be a large screen at the entrance where taxis drop passengers with flight info and relative check-in area. Without that people are confused from second one. 2) There is no intuitive flux from check in to gates, hence the need for very clear and explicit signs. 3) There is ample sitting but not by some of the gates and this is bad. 4) The overall design of the airport does not reflect the Italian level of aesthetics but very few Italian airports do. 5) The areas of the airport are not well layout so you have the north side full of services and food options and the south side almost bare. Here is what I like and I like it a lot: 1) Excellent security with a large number of courteous personnel and some ingenious solutions like the inclined belt sending crates back (german airports take notice). This makes it for a safe airport where long lines move very very quickly through security. 2) An outstanding selection of food services, a store (!) bookstores, bars (maybe they should be mapped and advertised more clearly) with an outstanding quality of food offering second to none (if you want fast food you are -thankfully - in the wrong airport though). 3) Which airport can boast a Ducati and a Ferrari store and two hot Lambos parked by the airport exit greeting travelers coming to Motor Valley? 4) A constant supply of taxis at the arrival. 5) Parking is close to airport and covered parking is an option.

We deliver the car to the rental and there is no cart point nearby (dearly among others at the airport). The bathrooms are always dirty and there is no possibility to fill the water bottle with water unless paid in the bar

Arriving at the airport and finding almost the entire ground floor with the shutters closed is a little effect ... For the rest: no hitch, temperature taken with the thermoscanner at the entrance, clear and well-distributed indications, quick access to controls, dining rooms 'waiting with several chairs occupied by spacing strips. High chairs and long wall table with charging sockets.

Missing a pedestrian line to get to the airport. Whoever comes on foot is forced to pass under the tele pass / airport entrance bar! 6 am passport control with absent staff. Two of the four were present. Moral of the story we were losing our flight! The interior of the airport is well done. But the organization is an Italian way! For the next I will arrive 4 hours earlier. At least I'll be safe !! Very bad very bad

We are on the plane 15 minutes from landing, stop in the square and the bus that will take us to the airport still does not arrive! Bad alas. We arrived 30 minutes inside the plane. Blame the strike, they say.

The new road system in access to departures and out of car rentals is impractical, the bars have crazy prices, there is only one monitor that indicates departures throughout the ground floor (and is also far from the entrance), waiting times. for luggage they are endless. WiFi not working. Not to mention access to airplanes: hoping for the installation of "proboscides" is science fiction.

Organized and growing airport. The only major flaw is the absence of tunnels for direct access to the plane, necessary to accommodate medium-large size aircraft such as the Emirates going to Dubai
