I ordered some photo cheat sheets on 10/31, through Amazon Marketplace and they (Adorama) gave two different dates of its estimated time arrival (11/7 and 11/10) and I have not received anything. I tracked the package today (11/11) , and it still indicates that it arrived at my local post office as on 11/6.

According to my bank statement, this company received my payment; therefore, there is no justification for the delivery delay. It is frustrating to wait for a package that should have taken less than a week for delivery--only to receive different arrival dates with little to no explanation.

As this point this experience with this company has been so unpleasant, I plan on canceling this order and request a full refund.

I will never place a order from this company again.

Ordered a bag for a trip to Hawaii. They shipped me the wrong one. I tried to work with customer service and they had no interest in helping me. I finally just cancelled the order. I am shipping the bag back and am going to Hawaii without a bag. I won t order through Adorama again.

worst customer service! my first experience was great! but i made an order and they tried to charge the wrong account, it took 3 days to get a decline notice and the website wouldn't. They ran my card, then the rep cancelled the order so the pending charge hasn't cleared, so i can't order the equipment i need fo this shoot in time! This is awful worst service ever!

I had a disappointing experience with a return to Adoram, but after some back and forth with their customer service, they took care of the issue completely. I am satisfied with what they did, and I believe they are working to take care of their customers.

Spent $1,200 for a laptop to be mailed to me, post office screwed up and sent it to the wrong address, the company dodges my emails for more than a month, then finally tells me 'go harass the post office instead', which tells me 'only insured up to $100', and they still won't smooth this out almost 1yr later. You tell me what kind of business this is.

They always have what I'm looking for. I went in and bought a lens today from the same woman that sold me one a year ago and she knew exactly what I needed. They have both new and used products and I've never had an issue with anything used that I've bought. This is a lot more intimate than going to B&H.

Adorama likes to scam customers by allowing you to buy out of stock items on their website without telling you said items are out of stock. I bought a projector that was supposed to arrive a week later then received an email 5 days after I placed my order saying the projector was backlogged indefinitely. If that was the case they shouldn t have sold me the projector in the first place...don t waste your time

BEWARE: Adorama is a horrible company. DO NOT sign up for their credit card. Their customer service is THE WORST I've ever seen. I would say it's worse than any cable provider. Yes- THAT bad. I made a purchase under the promises that I would receive 18 month financing and when the bills came it was only 12. This drastically changed the monthly payments. Now, they will not change the plan after I've already made the purchase. WORST COMPANY EVER.

I've been shopping at Adorama for over 10 years and my experience with them has always been great!! It's hard to beat their prices and the customer service can't be beat. They take care of you and understand the importance of customer service. Their inventory is beyond most stores. Prior to shopping with them I use to shop at a local Big camera store (sam I am) and I had no idea I was being robbed blind by them. They ship the same day and the shipping prices are more than fair. Keep up the great work.

Adorama is sort of the small-town, local store. In New York City. Very unassuming but all you have to do is ask for what photography, video, computer and all sorts of electronics they may have in stock. Fantastic classes and I love their store-Flashpoint gear. Great value!

Purchased a Juiced Link RA333 for $312us used from Adorama. It arrived with one the 3 xlr ports one not working (I found out much later). As I live OverSeas the warranty lapsed but Adorama continued to correspond with me to sort the issue out. They contacted me back and offerred to replace at their cost as 1 of 3 options.
We are still sorting out due to christmas but they have been very helpful. As an independant filmaker I cant afford this sort of situation. I take full responsibiliy for not checking sooner. Thankyou Adorama.

DO NOT EVER SEND anything to the trade in department. I sent a camera and lens for a quote. I declined their offer. I received my camera back, but they LOST my lens!! My lens was pretty much new, in the box with original everything. I received a different lens, not in the box. I called and returned, with the promise that, according to the guy, he had it on hand. LIE!! Weeks later and I've received nothing! I call, I get disconnected. I send e-mails, no answer. WHAT A JOKE!!! Never buying anything from them ever again, and I've spent thousands of dollars there. Big regret!!

What amazing customer service here! I got here on a pretty busy Sunday, got my ticket to get help with buying a camera. I was helped really quickly and Meirav was the woman who helped me. She was so friendly, quick at her job, and knowledgeable! As soon as I mentioned the body and lens she knew exactly what I was talking about and gave great recommendations for accessories and warranties that were technical but also kept my budget in mind.

Fast (but not too fast) and genuine customer service. Thanks so much!

A perfectly fine place to come and find the camera you're looking for, get some helpful advice and hopefully a good deal. My only issue is that there's only a limited number of cameras on display, and those that are often aren't in a state where you can really use them so that you can get a good feel for how they operate.

Customer service unwilling to help solve order issue thus far. Order did not submit properly through website. Paypal says they must cancel, they say paypal must cancel. All I wanted was to get the order for the price the items *were*, but the items are no longer for sale for that price. Representatives on phone were useless at best, contact with "manager" Leah seemed unwilling to even try. Telling me they "cannot cancel what they don't have." Lost an order, all I wanted assistance with was getting the items for the price they were offered when I submitted my order. No response to this specific request, just told to cancel the order and resubmit.

I don't usually give reviews due to my experience dealing with bad service. Today is different. I want to give a special thanks to an employee at your store Named William Rossi... Sept 2019 he helped me set up a pre-order . The item was released Oct 2019...I didn't receive it until end of January 2020. This man made sure he kept me posted. He was very informative and gave details when I had questions. The day I picked up my item, I was supposed to get a lens with it,and the lens wasn't available according to customer service... William Rossi made sure I left Adorama with a lens so I can get working...Adorama, take care of that man! I'll definitely be back..

Do not buy anything from this place. I ordered a aerial photography drone. First order shipped damaged and used. They sent replacement. Replacement order shipped defective and missing parts. They forgot to remove the UPS sticker from the previous purchaser and just used a black mark to cover up the information. DO NOT BUY. They sell items as brand new, when they are in fact used, defective or refurbished. I contacted the manufacturer to report this. They stated they probably are not new and to purchase directly through them.

This review will update as the order process and shipment moves along.I placed an order for a refurbished Nikon D800 and after 3 days, the Item has yet to ship. So much for the "Superior Same day shipping" the company boasts. They are very slow to reply to emails, often taking 2-4 days. Their website is nice and easy to navigate and their prices are mostly fair. however, That all means squat nothing if they can't ship an Item out quickly like they claim. False advertisement? In comparison I ordered something from Amazon, it shipped the same day and I got it here, In afghanistan (deployed) in 4 days total. Will update as it goes on.

EDIT: Item was shipped today. took 4 days to process shipping. So much for their same day shipping boasts.

I purchased a light kit from Adorama and it came with one light not working. When I got a hold of them about the defective product there customer service took 3 day to respond back and when they did the suggestion was get a hold of he manufacture.

Now I have to send it back to Bescor and it will take a week or so for them to look ay it and get it repaired or get me a new one. I have purchased many items online in the past 10 or 12 years and this is the first time a company I bought from wasn't willing to accept a return and send a new one to me. In fact most companies will send a new one out and credit yor account when they get the broken on e back.

Definitely disappointed in Adorama.

I purchased a camera kit and an extra memory card. Upon receiving my order, the box was damaged. I took pictures with my phone and logged into my account and started a chat. I was told me to open the box and to let her know of any damaged merchandise. Upon opening the box, I noticed the lens cleaning kit was smashed (hard plastic wrapping), the camera box it self was torn open and when I picked up the camera lens, the rear cap would not come off.

I was asked if I could send her the photos of the box to her email and yes, of course. She gave me her address and I sent her the photos. She asked me if I wanted a $15.00 credit, which I thought was very unusual but declined. Five hours lapsed when she replied. Not once did she advise me of her filing a claim. The next day, I decided to go back into my account and chat to find an update. Upon striking up a chat, it was the same chat agent. I asked her if she was going to have a manager contact me and what was the next step.

She stated she already filed a claim and was sorry she did not advise me. I told her I felt abandoned and had no idea what to expect. Again I asked her for a managers contact info and she said a manager would contact me. She told me I was to have the box ready for pick up from UPS the next business day (Monday) to be picked up. Once the box was sent back to their shop, either replacement merchandise would be delivered or a refund would be given. On Monday, when I was talking to the UPS driver, a call came in from Adorama but I missed it. I was sent me an email and stated the following:

Good day.

I tried to contact you earlier "Apparently", no one picks up the phone.

I just want to confirm if UPS already pick up the damage merchandise. Your
response is highly appreciated.

First, I don't appreciate anyone being sarcastic with me especially when they work in customer service. Second, per his email, he's not a manager but a customer service rep. I logged back into my account and contacted the same chat agent again who swore a manager would call me that day or the next day. Guess what....No manager called me...!!! Not surprising with the crappy customer service I received. I called this time and spoke with someone and was transferred to a manager, I think. I confirmed UPS had picked up the box and they were taking it to their warehouse for an inspection. As I told him on the phone, I'm out $3,500.00 as Adorama took it out of my account and I have no camera.

At this point, I'm not sure if I want a refund or not. If I ask for a refund, will I be charged a restocking fee? If I accept replacement camera, will it be refurbished? Again, Great company as I'm a returning customer but real crappy customer service as they lack communication...!!!

I have to now post another part of the review. I still maintain the 1 star. needless to say if I could give them zero stars, i would have. Yes, I did receive an email from Helen Oster at Adorama who offered me a $25.00 gift certificate with a catch. I had to purchase a signal item over $25.00 to which I did:

If I could write a zero star review I would. I stopped going to Adorama about 5 years ago after overhearing one employee threatening to stab another employee in the hand with a pencil. This past weekend, I was at an event in Union Square and had finished up a roll of 120 film and 35mm film and sought to get the film developed. Adorama was in close proximity to Union Square North, so I decided to walk there instead of giving my business to B&H. BIG... MISTAKE.

While Adorama looked to be renovated and more "modern" than I had remembered it, the service was still the same. I walked in at approximately 3:30pm and asked a gentleman if Adorama did film development. He looked at me as though I was nuts and dismissed my inquiry with "of course not!" I walked away and took a quick peek at the used section. I find the used section to be closer to a "Camera Junkyard" in terms of what I see, but I saw a black Contarex Super with a 40-120mm lens on it. I put my own Contarex Super (see attached pic) down on the glass-top to look at the black one, and a very pushy young man asked if I'd like to see their Contarex. I stated that the Contarex Super I carried was NOT up for trade / sale / bargaining in any way, but I obliged, in large part due to the 40-120mm lens that was mounted to the camera.

The young man took out the black Contarex Super that was on display in the used section and proceeded to tell me how rare it is, how it was in "great shape" and so forth. I took a cursory glance at it, and noticed the top meter switch was missing, the meter itself did not work, the viewfinder was out of whack, and the 40-120mm lens' focus BARELY worked (and I mean I had to throw my arm into it, a sign the lens is on the verge of friction welding and becoming destroyed). I informed him of this and he replied that "only one person repairs them" (this is true, my contarex is on that waiting list for maintenance, but the meter works, all the parts are present, and it takes pictures). Such a camera and lens offered by the young man was NOT in great shape, and I informed him that I was aware of this.

At this point, he proceeded to go on about how my camera was "museum quality" and started to make moves towards my camera. Remember, I had initially stated that the camera I owned was NOT up for discussion in any way. I walked in with my contarex, I was going to walk OUT with my contarex. The young man attempted to take hold of my contarex while it was on the glass top, to which I pulled my camera back and slung it back over my shoulder. At that point, it was obvious that he was trying to do a trade where a fully working Contarex (mine) would be "magically traded" for a parts camera that happened to have a very rare - but barely functional - zoom lens (a 40-120 Vario-Sonnar). Were I to have not been so watchful of my camera, I could have been left with a bucket of parts and an approximately $2,500 bill in repairs.

Allow me to contrast this to my experience at B&H. I walked in, and the gentleman behind the counter saw the Contarex, and as I rested it on the counter, he did not touch the camera, he admitted that B&H does not buy them, and he asked me if he could take a look at the camera as a person who was a fan of Contarexes (and without me even mentioning any desire - or lack thereof - to trade / talk money). This is called RESPECT. It is NOT a bait-and-switch tactic to get better cameras, and it does not put the camera's owner on edge about whether he / she is going to be quick-traded into a bucket of parts. If I had stated to the gentleman at B&H "I would like an offer" and I was told "no, we do not buy them" or "yes, we do, but I need to evaluate the condition", then fine I am consenting to the camera being examined in the circumstance of the latter answer. Instead, your used camera employee at Adorama took steps to "upgrade" Adorama's used camera inventory at the possible expense of someone who wanted to see unusual cameras (and had one of his own.)

I'm disgusted... and I have more, but Google limits my characters. AVOID.

Well, it was a bit of a drama but we got there in the end. Ordered 10x Transcend 16GB SD Cards off Adorama in late April, and at the end of July I still hadn't seen them so I left terrible feedback on Google. There was a response from Nancy Miller, and after contacting here I got the goods in less than 2 weeks (Good considering I'm in New Zealand and the company is in New York). Happy to get my products, and happy with the quality, VERY happy with the price, but the customer service needs working on for online sales.

I can't understand why Adorama has less than 5 Stars ... I've bough over U$50K from Adorama since 2004 and they are really good ... Improved a lot lately with competitive prices and some exclusive brands like Flashpoint .... It's a safe place to buy equipment ... I am a photographer in South Florida, not a paid commenter...check my work at ullaphoto website .... Adorama is together with B&H my favorite place to buy equipment... I would give it 6 Stars if I could.

This site appears on the Internet in the search result of "accessories for ipad tables" and I visited the store and there was neither a single option nor a single one, which wasted time.
It should be added that the site is beautiful and has a good assortment, not as much as b & h but they have something to sell, they also teach photography and related courses.

I would stay away from this merchant and go to either amazon or B&H --- the customer service is so bad and they constantly make misrepresentations.

I placed an order for over 1000 dollars that was supposed to be delivered early December. Although it was said to be left at my door step, I did not receive it, have not been issued a refund or a replacement order processed. Originally, they stated a refund would be issued by them on December 14, 2018, after UPS completed they investigation, which was part of their procedure. I have actually looked into this and this is very rare for merchants to do, but I trusted them. After no response from them, I again contacted them on a number of occasions and was told, the UPS investigation would be completed on December 24th, and that a refund would be processed. After Christmas, I was given yet a different story by Helen Oster, one of their rep. stating they would not issue the refund and, or a replacement. She was also not responsive to my other concerns.

They have essentially stolen my money, and will not take any responsibility. This company has no ethics. I week after this order that went missing, I had trusted them and bought over a 2k camera, with a defect and they will not even respond to my concern yet within 30 days.

From speaking to many representative, (including a senior rep in NYC -Helen Oster ---- (their call centers in Asia are of no help) both email and some voice calls, I have they lying. When you buy items, merchants should be more interested in building loyalty and repeat business. This company has no care or respect for its customers, and they have lost a very expensive account.

Be very careful with you hard earned money, stay away from them. Check out their very many negatives online and via the better business bureau.

I submitted several orders for pictures and photobooks unfortunately every order returned with some sort of issue or error. On every order for prints that I have submitted, atleast one print gets sent to me noticeably bent and in no condition to frame. For one order I submitted for two photobooks which cost me about $500, one of the photobooks was correct but the second one was not correct. When I tried to reach Adorama via phone to discuss the error to have them fix it, I have been put on hold for over 10 minutes without anyone getting back to me. I am currently on hold now for the fourth time! We'll see if anyone picks up - I may have to go down to the store to try to get someone to deal with the error. Overall a VERY frustrating experience and I will not use them again after I have this last order fixed.

Placed an order for Sony camcorder on June 12th. I didn't get any order updates for two days and after checking it turned out that it was accidentally canceled despite item being in stock.
Of course my credit card shows pending transaction. They are very quick to take your money but not so fast with telling you what's going on with your order.

Update:
I changed my 1-star review to 2 stars after Adorama contacted me and apologized for their mistake. Another order was placed with overnight shipping. Definitely step in the right direction but overall they could do better than that.

What a perfectly happy place to purchase camera stuff, lens, and just about anything electronic. I even got my golf laser rangefinder there! Visiting the huge store is like Christmas morning for a kid, but I usually shop from home. Order taking and service are impeccable and really, really fast. UPS usually delivers free the very next day. Prices are very competitive. All in all, camera heaven.

I recently purchased a new Asus Laptop from Adorama. The unit arrived in a defective state and would not work. I contacted sales support to ask for a replacement working unit, even offering to pay shipping fees. Adorama stated that all laptop sales are final and I am stuck with the defective product. I'm very disappointed in their sales support and discourage anyone from using them for purchasing computers.

I bought the Canon 5D Mark 4 with Clog and when it arrived, it didn't have it installed. They made sure to correct this mistake quickly and overnighted me a new one. Hellen even went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. Appreciated the customer support.
